  1. Crime rising on Northwest Los Santos Los Santos Sheriff Joseph Cline told the Sheriff Commission Tuesday that the Northwestern side has experienced a 50% increase in shooting victims this year compared to the same period last year. A total of 8,651 people have been shot in Los Santos year-to-date, 865 of which have been done in the Northwestern area, and the city is averaging about 27 shooting victims per week, Cline said. Last week, 162 people were shot in the city per week. The city has had 421 homicides year-to-date, compared to 250 homicides during the same period in 2021. "The two challenging areas are homicides and aggravated assaults, as has been this entire year," Cline said. Aggravated assaults in the city increased by 9.5%, and the largest increases have been in the Morningwood and Bay City area. Cline added that there is "significant involvement" of Caucasian people in aggravated assaults, both as victims and as offenders. Homicide arrests have increased by 51% this year compared to the same period last year, and weapons arrests have increased by 83%, Cline said. Murderwood Gets Wild is a fictional tagging crew consisting of caucasian characters with the sole purpose of making money and just having a good time. 2. Container Ship Fire - 3/30/2022 Office of The Director of Port Authority Monday, the 28th of March, The San Andreas Port Authority and Los Santos Fire Department received a mayday distress signal at approximately 19:30 from the Daisy-Lee, a Capesize-Size Bulk Freighter which was inbound from the Port of Gioia Tauro (Italy), reporting that a wide-scale fire had broken out aboard the ship. CBRN Units and Hazmat Teams of the Port Authority and Fire Department were dispatched and arrived on scene within minutes before docking occurred. The Daisy-Lee was observed to have been engulfed in flames at the bow and mid center regions of the ship, quickly spreading towards the astern section as evacuations of the crew occurred. The Port of Los Santos was put into full-scale lockdown as the situation unfolded. As of this release, only two crew members of the Daisy-Lee suffered casualties, both critically injured with third degree burns and respiratory issues. Both victims were transported to PHMC and remain in their care currently. Members of the Fire Department bravely fought and suppressed the fire, allowing for Port CBRN Units and and FD Hazmat teams to board the vessel and search for any remaining passengers, none were found. Investigation ensued and the cause of the fire has been determined to be the improper care and handling of UN/NA 2029 Hydrazine, a flammable, poisonous and corrosive chemical agent. (Emily Khan pictured center left, Michael Baker center right) After the ship had been deemed secured by Fire and Port personnel, Director Preston of the Port Authority had personally congratulated scene commanders Engineer Emily Khan of the Fire Department and Safety Superintendent Michael Baker of the Port Authority for their efforts demonstrated that evening. The San Andreas Port Authority has seized the vessel and its remaining cargo for processing by insurance investigators and Customs Officers. The Bureau of Safety had conducted further inspections, deeming the vessel un-seaworthy for future ocean travels. The estimated losses, including the value and contents of the vessel equates to a near total of $300,000,000 (three hundred million dollars). Which Director Preston has stated is "A devastating blow to our local and national economy." Director Preston and Governor Brandt have remained in contact with the company that owns and operates the Daisy-Lee to negotiate a cost effective and environmentally friendly cleanup project to demolish and discard of the vessel. A deal has yet to be reached between both parties, but talks have suggested that the Port Authority will contract and help co-pay a ship breaking operation via public contract to break-down and dispose of the ship while it remains stationed at the Port of Los Santos. Further details will be announced via the state government's website by the Port Authority. **Comments would be enabled and heavily moderated. 5. Carson Garden 13 (CGX3) is a street gang in Chamberlain Hills, San Andreas - known to wear the color green due to the word Gardens being part of their name. Nevertheless they are still Sureños, who regular rock Greenbay Packers gear & other sports teams that don the color green . They were formed in the late '70s as the Garden Boys (due to the "Carson Gardens" apartment complex name), or The Gardens. They then dropped the Garden Boys, adding the trece at the end of the apartment complex's name where most members resided at (at the corner of Carson Avenue & Forum Drive) in the mid '80s. Today the small neighborhood is referred to as Carson Gardenas Trece, a very small barrio that has gained mutual grounds over turf with a neighboring Blood gang. CGX3 has always had a more lenient relationship with Black gangs even since it's early start, one of their founding members "Blackbeard" was an African American from the neighborhood. (Wizard, Bugsy G, & Vago circa 1979) Carson Garden 13 is one of many barrios who gained their membership with La eMe during the 1980s crack epidemic. With the surge of drug increments in South L.S. fueled by crack rock sales, founding members Vago & Bugsy G found themselves serving time in a San Andreas Correctional Facility. It is there Bugsy & Vago continued the furtherance of their criminal career representing The Gardens, gaining favor of seasoned La eMe members - the two solidified the barrio as a cohesive money-making unit. Bugsy G - an up & coming camarada of The Mexican Mafia was recently released from prison & collecting drug money from his barrio for a carnale known as Happy from Davis Trece. An incident had occurred where Bugsy G was skimping out on Happy's drug money regularly, leaving Happy with a gut-wrenching feeling. (Vago circa 1987 San Andreas Correctional Facility) Bugsy subsequently landed himself back in prison which brought him right into Happy's domain. It was decided Vago - a childhood friend of Bugsy G and fellow CGX3 gang-member who would follow through with the hit on Bugsy. The two shared a cell where Vago set a knife on the table for his comrade Bugsy to defend himself with, Vago wasn't going to do his homeboy since birth dirty like that... the two began the vicious attack, stabbing the air out from each other - Vago ended up getting the best of Bugsy, murdering him over a ten minute knife fight. This act of loyalty by Vago for La eMe would engrave a lasting reputation for the small barrio CGX3, throughout the '90s the barrio gained a significant amount of members which later died entering the millennium. The early 2000s brought a case by the City Attorney's Anti-Gang Section that nearly ended CGX3, inditing over nineteen gang members connected to a lucrative drug operation spear headed from the Carson Gardens apartment complex. All that time growing itself, CGX3's sudden reign had come to a crashing halt - leaving the remainder of Chamberlain Hills' drug market to other prominent Sureño & Black gangs. Slowly but surely the gang has put itself back together, although is far from it's peak in the late '90s - CGX3 moves and operates in very small numbers within the turf of Carson Avenue & Innocence Boulevard. Currently sharing turf with Brims that the gang has gained a mutual relationship with, they carefully politic their existence in Chamberlain Hills. The gang is rather focused on being a get-along gang in the mist of the police cracking down on the barrio, although members remaining under the radar have been kicking up dust once again in the neighborhood, gaining a small active group of youngsters putting The Gardens back on the map. ((Carson Gardens 13 is it's own portrayal of a Sureño gang, taking it's inspiration from other "Garden" named barrios spread throughout Southern California... CGX3 does not portray the real life "Gardena 13" - rather the faction portrays one of the many "Garden" named varrios & takes inspiration from them all to make CGX3. We do continue to portray to our best abilities of Sureño gang members from the Crenshaw District of modern day South Central. For more information PM (GhettoNights) or Asesino(thread author) for a discord invite.))

  6. This group will follow a force closure. The concept portrayal is beyond unrealistic and extensive elements of metagaming have been found connected to this group. A further elaboration has been sent to the thread holder. Individuals involved in this group should cease acting within the realms of being part of this criminal organization in-character as of immediate effect, individual action will be pursued against those who do not follow that guideline.

  7. Hi, I'd like to suggest three new commands for the news faction, LSNN, to improve immersion and readability of updates. These are: /newsbegin [Name of Show] Currently, when a news broadcast begins, users on the server get a notification which states the following: LSNN is now broadcasting the news. Use /joinnews to tune in. If we were to use this command, however, this would give LSNN the opportunity to name each show and thus, provide a reason for people to tune in (or not). So for instance: /newsbegin The Nixon Report - Political Talkshow. Could appear as: LSNN is now broadcasting The Nixon Report - Political Talkshow. Use /joinnews to tune in. /newsme and /newsdo As LSNN's updates are all text-based (there is no spectate command to "broadcast TV" or anything like that), the requirement to describe scenes and individuals is often done like this: While this does work, if we had specific commands for this it would look far more immersive and less cobbled-together. Here's how they could work: /newsme looks at the camera, smiling with her perfect teeth. would look like: [NEWS] Allegra Nixon looks at the camera, smiling with her perfect teeth. /newsdo The camera pans around the scene, revealing several fire trucks at Davis General Store. Around 10 firefighters appear to be tackling the blaze. would look like: [NEWS] * The camera pans around the scene, revealing several fire trucks at Davis General Store. Around 10 firefighters appear to be tackling the blaze. This way it just looks considerably more neat and tidy. I'd also consider possibly changing the colour of these updates slightly, perhaps to a darker shade of green, similar to how /me and /do are a different colour in normal roleplay. This would highlight the difference between spoken word and descriptions, and could look like the following: LSNN is now broadcasting The Nixon Report - Interview with State Secretary. Use /joinnews to tune in. [LSNN] * The short, patriotic jingle for The Nixon Report plays. After the logo disappears off the screen, Allegra Nixon can be seen wearing a formal black suit and sitting behind the desk. She smiles. [LSNN] Allegra Nixon says: Good evening Los Santos and welcome to The Nixon Report; the show where we interpret all the political jargon so you don't have to. [LSNN] * The camera pans out, revealing a man in his late 40s sat just a little further down the desk. He's wearing a dark blue suit and also appears to be smiling. [LSNN] Allegra Nixon says: I'm joined tonight by State Secretary Noah Wade, who'll be talking to us about a very important topic indeed. Welcome to the studio, Mr Wade. [LSNN Interview] Noah Wade says: Thank you Allegra, and good evening Los Santos. [LSNN] Allegra Nixon smiles back to Noah, but then her face turns a little more serious before she continues. [LSNN] Allegra Nixon says: Now then, we're here to talk about the topic that's one everyone's lips: the elections. You'll also note that I suggest changing the bracketed prefix to [LSNN] rather than [NEWS], this is just a stylistic request but again not essential. Update: It's also necessary to consider giving access to these commands for our interview guests. Perhaps they could have /interme and /interdo. Benefits if these suggestions are implemented: Greater indicator to potential audience, who can make a more informed decision on whether to /joinnews or not instead of having to do so by default just to see if it's for them. Greater immersion for the viewing audience, who can read descriptive updates with more immersion rather than it coming across as OOC text in brackets as has been done previously Provides an efficient solution rather than implementing a more potentially complex spectating system (which LSNN wouldn't want anyway, as we like the idea of viewers being able to sit there and RP watching TV with others, commenting on it, etc) Makes it easier for whoever is broadcasting to clearly separate their messages, and also gives LSNN the opportunity to employ people specifically for the purposes of describing scenes, such as cameramen, without it seeming odd because of the names being visible. Let me know what you think!

  8. Detailed Description: Change the /vscrap amount back to 50%. Ever since the long ago change to 20%, the car market has turned to complete shit. Cell phone dealers offer 30%-40% of the pre-registered value of the car regardless of mileage, RP’d condition, modifications. Stock vehicles go even cheaper in most cases. They know that they can do it because scrap price is so low, people will desperately sell to anyone buying above that 20% bottom line. Depreciation exists sure, but all it’s done is make the overall car market worse. There's no incentive to try and be competitive as a dealership in buying and selling cars. The demand is so extreme both ways, people will sell their cars for dirt cheap just so they have enough to buy the next one they want. These dealerships and people running invisible car lots from their cell phones are happy to oblige. There’s a reason you see 50 different “buying all cars” ads listed in the personal ads section, because it’s a huge and stupidly profitable market. Even with /vscrap at 50%, legitimate car dealers still shouldn’t have an issue making a decent profit and at least challenge them to do so. Relevant Commands/Items: N/A How will it benefit the server? Help fix the auto market, which is super unhealthy. People who pay $100,000 for a car get offered $50,000 or less regardless of mileage or anything. There’s no realism to our market to begin with. Let’s stop adding to that unrealistic notion and at least bring the market back up to something less ridiculous.

  9. The Hoover Criminals Gang The Hoover Criminal Gang originally coming from an African American street gang located on the West Side of South Los Santos, San Andreas. The name comes from a street called Hoover Street, between Vermont Ave and Figueroa St. The Hoovers got multiple sets within them streaching all the way from 52 up to 112. The Hoover Criminal Gangs originated in the 1960s and got known as Hoover Groovers. Groovers have been around long before the formation of the Crips. One of the leading members of Hoovers Groovers has been shot to death and most of people accused the 94 Westside Crips The Hoover Groovers and the West Side Crips held a meeting at the Saint Andrews Recreation Center. Both gangs eventually formed an alliance and blamed the Figueroa Boys for the death of their leader. Hoover Gangster Crips By the mid 1970s, due to their alliance with the West Side Crips, the Hoovers dropped the Groovers from their name and adopted the Crips (Hoover Crips). By 1979, when the feud between the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips and the Eight Tray Gangster Crips started, gangs started pleading alliance to either the Rollin 60s Crips or the Eight Trays. Gangs who aligned themselves with the Rollin 60s adopted the Neighborhood Crips, also known as the Deuces or Deuce Gang's (2x). Gangs who aligned themselves with the Eight Tray Gangster Crips adapted the ''Gangster Crips'', also known as the Trays or Tray Gang's (3x). The Hoovers fell under the Gangster Crips card, ''Hoover Gangster Crips.'' On August 1979, a reputable member and the founder of the East Side Crips was murdered in a drive-by shooting. Rumors of the shooters spread throughout the streets of Los Santos. The East Side Crips placed the blame and held the Hoover Crips responsible for the murder, sparking a bitter feud between the Hoover Crips and the East Side Crips. Hoover Criminal Gang By the 1980s, during the Crack epidemic in the South Central region of Los Santos, San Andreas, the Hoover Gangster Crips became one of the most notorious street gangs to participate in the drug world. Ricky ''Freeway'' Ross (drug-lord) was affiliated with the Hoover Crips. By the mid 1980s, the Hoovers were one of the most feared street gangs in South Central, LS. Their brutal reputation for gun violence made them one of the first suspects to be blamed for gang-related shootings. By the late 1980s, the Hoovers were engaged in bitter rivalries with several Crip gangs. From Crips to Criminals By the 1990s, the Hoovers renounced Crips and decided to change their name, by replacing Crips with Criminals. They claim ''ABK'' or ''EBK'' which stands for Anybody Killer or Everybody Killer. It was common to see ''BK'' (Blood Killer) aswell as ''CK'' (Crip Killer) and ''OK'' (Rollin 0's), spray painted on the walls within their territory. Present Day / The 83 Hoover Criminal Gang The West Side (W/S) 83 Hoover Criminal Gang (also referred to as the "8-Tray Hoover Criminal Gang") are a long standing Hoover set located in the western district of South Los Santos. Originating in the 1970s, this gang is a subset of the larger Hoover Criminals umbrella. Sometimes referred to as "The Rascalz" or "Tiny Rascalz", the 83 Hoover Criminal Gang is considered the largest and most active Hoover set. They have no known allies outside of the Hoover Criminals umbrella though they are friendly with the Shotgun Crips and 83 Gangster Crips. As a result of their enormous list of enemies, they continue to contribute to a majority of the gang violence in South Central Los Santos. The 83 Hoover Criminals are allies of all other Hoover sets and are cool with some Gangster Crip sets, such as the 83 Gangster Crips and the 51 Trouble Gangster Crips. Their main ally outside of the Hoover Criminals, were the Main Street Mafia Crips. However, in 2009, their alliance ended on bad terms at a house party thrown by the Main Street’s, who invited the Hoover Criminals. Allegedly, the Hoover Criminals and the Main Street Crips, got into a confutation, followed by gunfire.

  15. Username: RandomWeirdo Comment: I didn't know about either of those shops, gonna have to check it out! Alessa seems very nice, I hope her stupid problems can get better... this situation in LS is so weird. I got kidnapped and robbed in broad daylight in the middle of an airport, there were cameras everywhere, I knew the faces and names of all four of them, and the cops told me "oh we'll call you later maybe". They never did lol, and when I called them, they didn't even take a deposition, just said "we'll look into it". And a month later I found out no report was ever opened: I was asked to provide an incident number for a CCW and turns out the report didn't exist XD Top tier lmao. But damn... I miss the days when it was cool to punch nazis, instead of cosplaying as nazis.
