  1. UPDATED IDEA WORK IN PROGRESS - ALARM/BURGLARY SCRIPT V2 UTILIZING ZAXER'S IDEAS @zaXer.'s contribution to the thread has contributed greatly - we should incorporate security entities into this script, and it has a chance to create a new line of roleplay for in-game companies like Gruppe 6 or other private security firms. Zaxer's idea for a new alarm system is as below: False Positives Occasionally, IFM may trigger false positives. In real life, alarm systems are not 100% reliable - much the same way that current fires work, we will trip alarms to keep law enforcement on their feet and react realistically to alarm systems. At the moment, any house alarm brings an entire combat force. If we trip many false positives, a more realistic number of officers will respond. Usually, only one officer is sent to a house alarm in real life. The command to trip a false-positive alarm shall be /falsepositivealarm. See @zaXer.'s idea on this below: Houses With No Alarms (same as before) Houses with no alarms will be commonplace, but probably less so than usual. On entry into a house with no alarms, a player receives the following notice. "There is no alarm panel. The occupants of the house have taken minimal effort to reinforce the house's security. However, neighbors may note the presence of intruders dependent upon the proximity of the house to other buildings, so caution is always advised." Alarm Fees A security company must install the alarm package. Purchasing an alarm automatically signs you up for a contract with a security company of your choosing. This will be presented to you at the "alarm spot." The alarm company will contact you in-game to settle the issue. Personally, my idea for this is based off of one of Zaxer's comments: the cost of your alarm fee per paycheck shall be based on who you have linked your contract to. You can link your contract to a security company for cheaper, so that organizations like Gruppe 6 respond to the alarm. OR you can link it to the Police, but this will be considerably more expensive since false positives may become more common with this script. Or, perhaps with both, a combination of charges. However, Zaxer wants to have alarm fees be purely an IC issue and allow alarm companies to set contracts and handle them on their own terms. Zaxer proposes that an alarm company utilize two commands when the contract begins: /enableresponse [address] for when the contract has begun. If the terms of the contract are not met, /disableresponse [address] shall be used. See @zaXer.'s idea on these here: Basic Alarm Box Basic alarms are for cheap houses and apartments. You will buy one of these if you're protecting goods inside of your apartment. A jammer will foil this alarm if it is jammed before the 30 second timer has ended. An envisioned contract (per paycheck) IF WE DO NOT USE ZAXER'S SYSTEM Basic Alarm (Security Company Response Only) - 500 per paycheck Basic Alarm (Police Response) - 1000 per paycheck Basic Alarm (All Respond) - 1500 per paycheck On entry into a house with a basic alarm, a player receives the following notice. (The alarm will appear ACTIVE if it has been tripped.) "There is an alarm panel on the wall. The current status of the alarm is [ACTIVE/INACTIVE]. The house's windows have hard security measures making it slightly harder to break in to, such as bars. The locks to the external doors are also harder to lockpick. One to two rooms in the house require a key or must be lockpicked." Basically, anyone entering the house, including the owner, MUST enter a code into the alarm box here. By default, the alarm box is NOT armed. The home owner must arm the alarm box if they want it to work, but in doing so must remember their passcode. This alarm wouldn't activate if someone broke through a window, it only activates if a door opens. An intruder can enter the house and move around without worry. Basic Alarm Upgrades - Alarm Motion Sensor and Vibration Sensor (bundled) Basically, a more technically advanced version of the basic alarm. This activates if any movement is detected in the house (with a 30 second grace period) or IMMEDIATELY if glass has broken. A jammer can be used to stifle an alarm once activated, but the initial signal was still sent. An envisioned contract (per paycheck) IF WE DO NOT USE ZAXER'S SYSTEM Basic Alarm Upgraded (Security Company Response Only) - 700 per paycheck Basic Alarm Upgraded (Police Response) - 1300 per paycheck Basic Alarm Upgraded (All Respond) - 1800 per paycheck Advanced Alarm Boxes Technical alarms are for high-end apartments and houses in expensive parts of the city. You will buy one of these if you're protecting more than just run of the mill goods or you care about your personal security. @zaXer. envisions this as still being able to be jammed, but it would emit a "no signal" status every 60 seconds until the jammer is removed, alerting police or security about the status of the alarm. An envisioned contract (per paycheck) IF WE DO NOT USE ZAXER'S SYSTEM Advanced Alarm (Security Company Response Only) - 1000 per paycheck Advanced Alarm (Police Response) - 2000 per paycheck Advanced Alarm (All Respond) - 3000 per paycheck On entry into a house with a technical alarm, a player receives the following notice. "There is an alarm panel on the wall. The status is unknown, the alarm appears to be advanced. Any burglar would do well to be cautious in this house, as there are signs the windows are shatter-proof from most blunt weapons and the locks are advanced. There may be cameras in the house recording your movement (if mapped in.)" High Security Alarms and Hard Security Property management should be able to equip certain buildings, such as businesses, with alarms that activate immediately and solely inform police if they're broken into. This would apply for government buildings, high-end businesses, and other areas. Alarm Jammers (work in progress) Alarm jammers are electronic items that will catch the signal emitted by an alarm. Some alarms, such as advanced alarms, will emit a "NO SIGNAL" alert. An alarm jammer can be used prior to the alarm's activation to delay the alarm's activation. An alarm jammer can be used DURING an alarm's activation to remove the alarm's signal from GPS on the map and it will stop the actual blaring inside and outside, although in a police officer or security guard's message box they will still have a message saying "Property alarm detected at X address." If it's an advanced alarm, they will instead receive a "NO SIGNAL DETECTED from X ADDRESS" with a GPS notification. The jammer will stop the alarm's siren at all times. More advanced jammers will trigger alarms at several houses (idk how this functionality could be scripted in). Improvised Jammers ($20,000) - jams a basic alarm completely if done before the alarm goes off, jams any other alarm for 2 minutes Basic Jammers ($50,000) - same as before r.e. basic alarms, jams any other alarm for 5 minutes Industrial Jammer ($100,000) - same, jams an alarm for 10 minutes SEE ABOVE FOR UPDATED VERSION OF PROPOSAL One issue that has plagued the server for a long time is the house alarm system which dissuades any serious burglaries or burglary roleplayers. In real life, house alarms are not nearly as effective or efficient as we depict them on GTAW. Therefore, much to the same way we have recommended changes for drug scripting, I am suggesting changes to the alarm script. First and foremost - new alarms will be reliant on a property of reliability. There should be a chance for an alarm to trigger any time someone breaks into a house, not a guaranteed alarm. When an admin accepts an alarm request and approves it, the admin will be alerted to whether or not the alarm has successfully triggered. If the alarm successfully triggers, then the current system kicks on - a big loud blaring alarm with a spot on the map. House alarms will also now be expensive and prohibitively so. High-end alarms will only be for major companies and businesses. In addition, the level of the alarm will determine an alert that a player gets upon entering a house. Hard security measures are also part of the alarm package. These will pop up in an alert that a player gets when entering the house. For instance, someone entering a house with a basic alarm will get an alert that says "You see an alarm panel on the side of the wall with a status of ACTIVE and ALERT. The house has basic security measures, such as bars on the window." So now to brass tacks. Disabled Alarm With special IFM permissions, certain alarms can be disabled during a planned robbery. An admin can use the command /disablealarm to disable any police response. False Positives Occasionally, IFM may trigger false positives. Houses With No Alarms Houses with no alarms will be commonplace, but probably less so than usual. On entry into a house with no alarms, a player receives the following notice. "There is no alarm panel. The occupants of the house have taken minimal effort to reinforce the house's security. However, neighbors may note the presence of intruders dependent upon the proximity of the house to other buildings, so caution is always advised." What happens when an alarm doesn't trip? The reliability will be a scripted function. It will inform the admin whether or not the alarm has tripped. So for an alarm with a 40% reliability, upon /approvebreakin, there's a 40% chance the alarm will trip. If it doesn't trip, the admin will receive an alert saying "This alarm has failed to trip!" The admin should leave a note indicating this after the burglars leave. Basic Alarms Basic alarms are for cheap houses and apartments. You will buy one of these if you're protecting goods inside of your apartment. Most alarms at the moment will be converted to these. I'll make a table of "basic alarms." On entry into a house with a basic alarm, a player receives the following notice. One to two rooms in the house require a key or must be lockpicked." Level 1 Alarm ($40,000) - 40% reliability, if tripped does not inform police until after 5 minutes have elapsed, alarm goes off at same time as police are informed. Level 2 Alarm ($80,000) - 50% reliability, if tripped does not inform police until after 4 minutes have elapsed, alarm goes off at same time as police are informed. Level 3 Alarm ($160,000) - 60% reliability, if tripped does not inform police until after 3 minutes has elapsed, alarm goes off at same time as police are informed. Technical Alarms and Security Technical alarms are for high-end apartments and houses in expensive parts of the city. You will buy one of these if you're protecting more than just run of the mill goods or you care about your personal security. On entry into a house with a technical alarm, a player receives the following notice. "There is an alarm panel on the wall. The status is unknown, the alarm appears to be advanced. Any burglar would do well to be cautious in this house, as there are signs the windows are shatter-proof from most blunt weapons and the locks are advanced. There may be cameras in the house recording your movement (if mapped in.)" Level 4 Alarm ($320,000) - 75% reliability, if tripped silent alarm alerting police kicks in after 3 minutes, loud alarm begins at 4 minutes informing occupants. Level 5 Alarm ($750,000) - 85% reliability, if tripped silent alarm alerting police kicks in after 2 minutes, loud alarm begins at 5 minutes informing occupants. High Security Alarms and Hard Security People paying contracts to companies like Gruppe Six can also roleplay having 360 degree camera coverage in their house and highly advanced technical security measures. These are prohibitively expensive and protective. To reliably break into a house covered by these kinds of alarms, you should probably plan a heist with IFM. On entry into a house with a technical alarm, a player receives the following notice. "There is no alarm panel. However, the house appears to be protected by some sort of advanced security system. The windows are shatter-proof and bulllet-proof. The locks on all doors are double-bolted. There are 360 degree cameras in orbitals, preventing anyone from seeing what direction they're facing. This house is certainly well guarded, and any successful burglary will be by chance or future professional preparation." Level 6 Alarm ($1,250,000) - 95% reliability, if tripped police are informed within 1 minute via silent alarm, burglars are given 3 minutes until loud alarm goes off. Level 7 Alarm ($2,000,000) - 100% reliability, when tripped police are informed immediately with a silent alarm, burglars are given 5 minutes until loud alarm goes off. Professional Burglar Tools These "burglary tools" can be used prior to breaking into a property (aka at the front door) to roleplay slipping past an alarm's trip, but basically they just reduce the reliability of alarms. For high security alarms, another set of tools may exist, but these are incredibly expensive. Only ONE item may be used during each burglary. So someone who has used a basic burglary tool cannot also used an advanced set at the same burglary. Basic Burglary Tools (20,000 per set, max of 10 per shipment) - reduces reliability of an alarm by 10% Advanced Burglary Tools (60,000 per set, max of 5 per shipment) - reduces reliability of an alarm by 25% Technical Burglary Tools (150,000 per set) - reduces reliability of an alarm by 40% (guaranteed negation of a level 1 alarm) A single item called High-Tech Burglary Tools shall exist, but these will be prohibitively rare and incredibly expensive to order. A single item will cost 1 million dollars to order. These are guaranteed to ensure that the alarm is never tripped.

  4. Jordan Downs In the mid-1950s, the city of Los Santos developed a subsidized housing project to aid residents in Rancho, a community in southern Los Santos crippled by numerous socio-economic disadvantages. Known as the Jordan Downs Projects, the buildings are home to a large population of African-American and Hispanic-Americans who share similar struggles with poverty and racial discrimination. Over time, the housing projects fell into disrepair due to government neglect. Crime rates in the area skyrocketed as residents turned to illegal activities to supplement their incomes with the hope of making it out of the projects. In addition to the poor living conditions, a long history of alleged police abuse has resulted in tensions with law enforcement throughout the community. With a lack of opportunities available for its disenfranchised residents and their deep-seated distrust in authority, the Jordan Downs quickly earned a reputation as a breeding ground for crime, violence, and gangs. Police records reveal that a large percentage of the crimes reported in Rancho can be linked back to the young gang members who have established a stronghold and claimed the projects as territory. Of the gangs that dominate the Jordan Downs, there are two that stand apart - Grape Street Crips and Rancho Varrio Grape. 03 Locs The Grape Street Crips (also known as Rancho Baby Loc Crips) are a predominantly African-American street gang based in the Jordan Downs. The Grape Street Crips have been featured in various television shows and documentaries including “Crips and Bloods: Made in America”, “Dead Homies”, and “Gangland”, making them one of the most well-documented gangs in Los Santos. The Jordan Downs is home to several up-and-coming recording artists, many of whom are affiliated with the Grape Street Crips. In modern times, the Grape Street Crips consist of a large number of members, most of them still in their early ages. These young affiliated members don’t let youth change any of the actions they commit, they can regularly be seen accomplishing a variation of crimes. The main one being drug distribution, however. Rapping is one of the gangs main ways of income, providing for most of the firearms being given to the younger generation. Grape Street Crips can regularly be seen sporting purple to show their affiliation to Grape Street, they don’t sport the regular blue flag that Crips normally wear. Due to the long going beef with PJ Rancho Crips. As Bounty Hunter Rancho Bloods and PJ Rancho Crips went defunct, Grape Street began thriving once again. Roadrunner Both gangs, Bounty Hunter Rancho Bloods and Grape Street are reputable for beefing & loving each other at the same time. To this day, it's been documented that Grape Street Crip and Bounty Hunter Blood members tend to start families with one another. A lot of infighting occurs in Grape Street Crip, Bounty Hunter Bloods & PJ Rancho Crip hoods because they are the largest controlling gangs in Rancho. The infighting usually starts over females, it is way too common. An example of this that is documented was the shooting of 03 Greedo, he was shot in the leg by a female due to his infidelity. Green Grape And unlike other LS gangs who are spiteful of out of state Crips & Bloods. The Grape Street Crips embrace every Grape Street Crip hood outside of Rancho. It's common to find someone who got put on Grape Street in New Jersey, Louisiana, Memphis etc roaming around the projects. Also due to the large connections throughout the USA this makes it way easier for the Grapes to traffic drugs. Creating a large network. Gutta Gang Formed in the late-2000s, the Gutta Gang clique is composed of young affiliated members who share a common goal - chasing money. The clique takes its name from “Out the Gutta”, a popular song by a Grape Street Crip rapper. The Gutta Gang engages in a variety of activities (both legal and illegal) to attain their wealth. Its members routinely ‘flex’ on Facebrowser, drawing attention to the fact that they are largely money-oriented. Rancho Varrio Grape Rancho Varrio Grape (RVG) is a street gang operating out of the Jordan Downs Projects in southern Los Santos. The gang’s roots can be traced back to the early-1970s and, at the time, was composed mainly of African-American and Mexican-American youths. Over the years, the Latino affiliates began to closely align themselves with the Mexican Mafia, which led the gang to alter its name to South Side Varrio Grape 13 and resulted in the black affiliates branching off to form the Grape Street Crips. Tiny Wynos The Tiny Wynos (TWS) is a clique of the Varrio Grape street gang. Presumed to be one of Varrio Grape Street's most recent cliques, TWS mainly consists of young teenaged members that can often be found hanging out with the Grape Street Crips. The Tiny Wynos clique was formed after internal disagreements caused members to split from the Tiny Malos (TMS) clique. The split resulted in a small internal war between TWS and TMS that ultimately ended with a truce in the mid-2000s and the arrests of several of TWS members. With a weakened presence on the streets, remaining members slowly began to rebuild by focusing on the recruitment of young teenagers and local taggers from the Jordan Downs. Currently, the Tiny Wynos are operating out of the Jordan Downs as one of the largest and most active cliques of the Varrio Grape Street gang. Gangster Lokos Gangster Lokos(GLS) is one of the oldest and still standing cliques of Varrio Rancho Grape 13. A majority of the older generation of the gang, finding their affiliations with the Gangster Lokos. Over the years, LSPD began to crack down on the gang, more specifically the clique. The majority of the remnants of the Gangster Lokos clique have been scattered around the San Andreas penitentiary systems with only an insignificant amount of members who are released have rarely returned to the gang life but a small crumb has still been known to be active and rarely ever recruit, looking for experienced individuals. Allies and Rivals The group has conflicts with most of the street gangs located in the Rancho Area such as PJ Rancho Crips, Tenline Gangster Crips, 99 Rancho Mafia Crips. Other gangs outside of Rancho such as Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, Florencia 13, Hacienda Village Bloods and Circle City Piru are also big rivals to the group. Allies are Gangster Crips from Westside South Central, a few Carson Crips and Rollin 30’s Harlem Crips. All members and affiliates of the faction are reserving their characters killed for any serious infraction or not following the codes of conduct. We also reserve the right to CK characters from Varrio Grape/Grape Street Crip. We also extend our CK perms for Rancho Varrio Grape to the Mexican Mafia. Consult with the leadership of the faction to gain permission to post screenshots on the thread. Any questions or concerns can be directed to SpiderX3

  5. I'm against this. House breakins are already extremely popular, we don't need to make them even easier. The prices suggested are absolutely ridiculous and no one's gonna buy them. I appreciate that we're trying to make alarms less OP because I agree they're ridiculous right now, but this suggestion completely flips it onto the other end of the overpowered scale. We need to find a balance, but this ain't it, in my personal opinion.

  7. I think everyone can agree that alarms in their current form are too powerful but the proposed changes shift the balance way too far towards those breaking in. There's a bunch of factors that were considered at the time of the alarms being implemented that were used to make them as powerful as they are. One of the biggest factors was the fact that people spend a lot of time in their homes. Naturally nobody can play 24 hours a day (though some of you guys do...) so that leaves houses essentially defenseless when you're not online. There is also the fact that players can wait until the owner logs off. I myself experienced this. After being followed home, I stayed on for about an hour. Within an hour of me logging off, the house was broken into. Realistically my character could have reacted to the break in seeing as they brute forced their way through a solid front door to get in but since I logged off, I did not get a chance to. The second property on the same character (which was never used and was awaiting a mapper) was broken into within 24 hours while I was offline too which added to my suspicion that something was off. These were, and still are, the only two times my properties have been broken into also. Making it so alarms can be completely mitigated completely removes the ability to counter this and isn't how we should go about nerfing alarms. There's also the fact that break ins are not conducted realistically. Rather than stealing expensive items like electronics or checking bedrooms for things like jewelry, break in crews will completely ignore anything out in the open and seek guns and drugs. There should be ways to make money from stealing non-scripted items. Players should be able to get laptops, tablets, TVs etc. and be able to sell them on. It would likely have to be an NPC as the demand for electronics is much lower in-game because they're one command away from being added from an interior. Any methods of fighting against alarms should be only a delaying action to help promote more realistic RP and prevent houses from being absolutely cleaned out an hour after the owner logs off. The burglary system unfortunately has many players who use it maliciously. Between my own personal experience, seeing break ins myself (people breaking into banned players houses right after they get banned for example) and reports of players metagaming faction threads to hit properties, there is a strong need to have a big degree of protection from houses being cleared completely by players who will search every single inch of the property for items based on OOC information. I'm fully behind giving players more time inside a property to let proper RP occur. There just has to be some sort of alarm go off or other police notification. False positives should really become a thing to prevent a bunch of cops showing up to every break in. Have the notification specify that there's potentially a break in occurring. While it won't make too much of a difference during the quiet times, it will help reduce the amount of responding units when there's other calls going on. Right now the protocol is to surround the house and move in when there's enough backup because it's a guarantee that someone broke in or at least attempted to. One other thing to consider though is the type of people that break in. Burglars being armed and willing to shoot at cops who respond to break ins have become a lot more common so it's resulting in a bigger police response. I've dealt with such a situation myself. There was enough people with guns to warrant a tactical team response to handle a break in. In fact, on that call there was more guns than people inside. If we want a situation where only one or two units will be the initial response to an alarm, then there needs to be a lot less guns involved. Combine that with false positives and a push from LFM to have factions moderate the responses to property alarms and we'll have a big improvement. To clarify, by moderating the response to property alarms I mean mandating a non-emergency response unless there's a good reason to believe there's someone inside and limiting the amount of units that respond to the initial report. The idea of restricting higher end alarms to more expensive properties is something I can support. The market price of a property should determine what level of alarm can be given to the property. This prevents cheap apartments from having high end security. Alarms should have a weekly upkeep cost. If it's not paid, then the alarm doesn't function. A regular upkeep cost is better than huge upfront fees. It also makes more sense. The fact that those inside are notified of the alarm going off AFTER the cops are needs to be changed. At the minimum the cops and those inside should be notified at the same time to allow some sort of risk to breaking in. Response times within the city are less than a minute when there's units available and are never more than three or four minutes when it's busy unless every unit is doing something. As a result, the notification happening at the same time is a lot more balanced. I would like to again stress the point that alarms should never be disabled completely to keep the gameplay balance. Break ins have the potential to really make the property owner take a massive loss so there has to be away to counter them. Making it easier to escape, increasing the amount of time before the alarm goes off to allow RP to occur and allowing players to make money through non-script items is a lot more balanced than what's been suggested here.

  12. MOTORCYCLE CLUB RP: Female Roles Around an MC This is a brief guide to role playing as a female around a motorcycle club (MC) based on information gathered from articles online, autobiographies, and documentaries. There is a vast amount of information out there, some of which even contradicts itself, so this information should not be taken as 100% fact and should just be taken as a general compilation of information from various sources, interpreted by myself to make the most sense. At the end of the day, female’s roles in MCs will vary club to club and it’s ultimately up to you to decide which type of female character you want to portray. That being said, it is important to keep in mind that MC’s are heavily male dominated (and some may even argue, a little sexist) and as a female you will never be a member, HOWEVER you can still be treated with as much respect as one. What is property? Being called property by an MC may sound like a derogatory term to someone outside of biker culture, however amongst MC culture, it’s a badge of honor and a heavily respected role. It is a common misconception that being called property means you are owned by the entirety of the club and your purpose is to ‘service’ them, however this is not true. When an MC member asks a female to wear his property patch, it’s akin to declaring to the entire club (and even outsiders) that that female is his woman and/or that they’re in a serious relationship and that she is under his protection as well as the clubs’. In addition, the property patch serves as a warning to others that the female is taken and should be treated with respect and not hit on (by other members) or disrespected. Other terms used for property is Ol’ Lady or Old Lady, WAGs which stands for Wives and Girlfriends (again these terms very club to club, member to member). What property is not: Property is not a female that is free for any member of the club to use for his own pleasure. There are different terms for the women willing to sleep with any/all members. Property are NOT members. Yes, wearing a property patch is a big deal and you are part of the clubs ‘family’ but you are not equal to a member. Members can only be male. So do not expect to be included in club meetings (church) or brought along to dangerous situations - if the club genuinely cares about your well being, you’ll likely be told to go home and sit tight. Sweetbutt’s roles in an MC Sweetbutts are women who hang out around the club and will hook up with any/all members. Sometimes their goal is to become property however, it is somewhat unlikely to achieve getting a property patch after sleeping with multiple members of the club...yes, there’s a bit of a double standard here - the male members get praised for sleeping around but women are looked down on for it. That being said, most of the time sweetbutts do not end up being property due to the implications of her having been with more than one member, for example, an off handed remark could be said by one of her past lovers and cause a riff between members. That is not to say a sweetbutt can never become property, however, it is a more challenging thing to achieve if you go this route. Depending on the club and/or member, these types of women may be referred to as: sweetbutts, pass arounds, turn outs, patch bunnies, bike hoppers, patch whore, club bunny, lay, club slut (this is not a full list, there’s tons of terms that mean the same thing as these). House Mouse’ role in an MC A house mouse is typically a younger female who will live with a member for free in exchange for cleaning and keeping up his house. Sometimes these girls are underage runaways, other times they’re similar to sweetbutts who just need a place to stay. The relationship between a house mouse and a member can be completely platonic or it can have a sexual aspect to it. Sometimes a house mouse might live with an Old Lady and her man, and she will help around their household doing chores and such. These types of females are typically respected and protected by the club. Citizen Wives' role in an MC There really isn’t a role for them in the club. These types are typically kept away (or voluntarily stay away) from all club business, events, and members. They do not get involved with their man’s club life at all. These types often just live at home and raise the family, and/or work a normal legal job. Do’s and Don’ts of being a female around an MC: Do support the club: wear supporter gear, go to events, make/bring food and drinks, socialize with other members and females (old ladies or even pass arounds) Do bond with the other old ladies and be open to learning the ropes from the ones who’ve been around longest. Do go to club events and on rides with your man. Do offer to plan events and/or help around the club house (cleaning, or restocking the bar etc). Do get to know your man’s brothers (other members of the club) but in an appropriate manner. Do show respect to members. They are your man’s brothers, the ones looking out for both him and you, being on their good side is beneficial to everyone. Do know your place in the club. As property you are not a member and you may not be included in the inner workings / goings on of the club and you should not try to force your way into knowing about such things. Do have your man’s back in sticky situations. For example, one time the cops came to a club business and began frisking members; my character’s old man was carrying an illegal handgun and he slipped it to her to hide. She would have gladly taken the fall for him if it came down to it, in order to protect him and the club from coming under further heat. Adding onto this - club businesses are sometimes transferred to member’s Properties in the event that they or the club ends up getting arrested/imprisoned - having the business in a non-member’s name keeps the asset from being seized and shut down. Don’t cause scenes: ie drama with other females (unless you’re intentionally doing it for RP sake, but be aware of the repercussions - being cast out / asked to stay away from future club events / gatherings or even being dumped by your man.) Don’t disrespect members. Ever. No matter how angry one makes you. Bite your tongue. This also includes - pulling weapons or hitting a member. Don’t do it. If you do, you’re risking your own life as it’s seen not only as disrespectful towards that member but to the club overall. Don’t disrespect your man in front of his brothers. If he tells you to do something in front of them (within reason), you should listen to him out of respect. If you have a problem that’s between you and your man, save it for when you’re home. You don’t need to emasculate him in front of his club - it looks bad on both of you and could lead to you losing respect and favor of other members. Don’t disrespect the patch / cut / vest / colors. Do not get your make up on it, do not spit or step on it in anger, do not desecrate it or damage it in any way. In some cases your man may not even want you touching it - for example if it’s sitting on a chair or something, he may want you to ask him to move it. This varies club to club and member to member - some guys may be cool with you touching it, others may be strict about it. When in doubt, ask your man. Don’t talk to those outside of the club about the club. This includes your friends, your family, strangers, cops, reporters, anyone. Anyone who is not in the club (or part of the family, ie other properties) does not need to know anything about the club, and if they want to know, you should direct them to ask your man. Don’t repeat anything your man has told you in private about the club. It’s not uncommon for a member to disclose some insider info to his old lady. He is not technically supposed to do that, because she is not a member, however sometimes men find solace in venting to their woman. Anything he says should stay between you and him. Even if other members of the club mention the thing you heard or ask you directly if he’s told you anything, you should keep it to yourself. Don’t ask about, snoop on, or get involved in ‘club business’. This means if, as mentioned above, you have knowledge about something going on in the club amongst members, you should not go out of your way to get involved / stick your nose into it. That is not to say you can’t be brought in to assist with something though, but you should wait for a member to ask/invite you to do so. Don’t give your man an ultimatum of “me or the club”. Most likely, he will go with the club. This one is more of an opinion but, consider the risks of wearing your property cut when you’re not around your man. You may not know who is an enemy to the club or your man and if you’re seen with his name on your back or the club’s name/logo, you could be making yourself a target. Ultimately it’s up to you when/where you want to wear it, but consider the risks beforehand and be prepared to handle them accordingly. So You Want to Become Property? Here’s How to Start: Obviously to start this, you’ll need to get to know members of a club. They can be tricky to find, but one sure fire way to probably find some members is to look for a line up of bikes parked outside of a business. Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself and ask what club they’re with - assuming they have a cut on (vest, colors, etc. many names for this as well). Once you get to know them better, ask about supporter gear - a lot of clubs sell t-shirts or hoodies that say “Support Your Local [Club Name]” or simply “SYL_” the last letter being the first letter of the club name. This shows your interest in the club and I’m sure whichever member you’re seeing will appreciate your support of that aspect of his life! Another way to meet members is to look for businesses they may own. A lot of clubs own bars, strip clubs, garages, and gyms (not limited to these but these are the common ones). Most likely a few members will be hanging out at, or even operating these businesses. A third way to meet members is to watch for ads on social media (facebrowser) advertising club rides or events that they are hosting and then attend those events! Some things to be careful of when you’re going for a property patch are: Does the member you’re getting to know even want property? Or to date someone seriously? Or are they looking for a quick hook up? If it’s the latter option, you will likely not be considered as a potential for being property, and if his brothers find out he hooked up with you, they may not be interested in seeing you seriously either. With some clubs/members the simple act of riding on a member's bike with him can be viewed as a sign of you seeing that member. It may be in your best interest to NOT ride with a member until you’re sure they’re the one for you. Otherwise, if things don’t pan out and you now start riding with another member, you may be viewed as a “bike hopper” which as stated above can be a type of sweetbutt. Try to avoid dating members from different clubs at the same time. Some clubs may not get along with each other and if one or the other finds out you’ve been seen with the opposing club, you may be burned with that club or even both. How to get a property patch? Really there’s not much you can do besides support the member of the club you’re dating, get to know the other members, show you’re serious and trustworthy, and follow the rules above. Ultimately it will be up to your man and the club to decide if you are worthy of wearing a property patch. Typically the process is something like: you date the member for awhile, he may or may not ask if you’d wear his ‘property of’ patch, he brings it up in church/a club meeting (this varies club to club, sometimes there is a vote, sometimes there isn’t) and they vote whether you deserve to rock the property patch or not, if the vote passes you’ll be presented with the ‘property of’ vest, if the vote doesn’t pass you may just need more time proving yourself to the club or getting to know members and showing them you’re a good fit to bring into the family. A note on DRESSING properly while riding a motorcycle: I've seen it a ton (and been guilty of doing it myself), where females around clubs will wear dresses, heels, short shorts, skirts, etc. while riding with a member. This is somewhat unrealistic and would also be very dangerous if it were IRL. If you're wearing a skirt/dress, it's very difficult to straddle a motorcycle & ride behind someone - your dress or skirt will ride up and possibly show whatever you have on underneath for anyone/everyone on the road to see. Wearing shorts poses danger because if you were to get in an accident, or your man accidentally lays out his bike, you're going to burn the absolutely hell out of your legs (also known as road rash - google it if you don't understand the severity of this). Additionally, while wearing shorts you can also get burnt by various parts of the bike if you were to accidentally brush against them (the exhaust pipe for example). Proper footwear is also very important - heels and flip flops are not very secure footwear and you risk losing one in the midst of riding. I'd recommend going with sneakers or boots. Another thing to consider is the time of year - is it summer and very hot or is it fall/winter and cold? Riding on a motorcycle you get a lot of air so during colder seasons, it will feel even colder due to the air rushing by you and you'll likely want to be bundled up from head to toe (leather jacket, gloves, face covering/helmet, long thick pants, boots). In conclusion - be aware of the risks certain clothing items have and make those choices with intention! Now, let's talk hair... I know we all love our hair looking pretty and styled nice, but the amount of wind you get while riding a motorcycle will mess up your hair. Your best bet is to tie your hair back for the ride and then let it down afterwards to prevent some nasty tangles! TIP: /hairtie braids works best with a helmet! Sources and further reading material: Biker Chick Definitions according to Biker Trash Network (Some of these I don’t personally entirely agree with) Just a nice little blurb from a biker about Property Rules Bikers make their WAGS follow (again some of these I don’t personally agree with, and again it'll vary from club/member, but there are a few good ones here!) In depth essay about the various roles of women around MC's Hope this guide was helpful and if there's any further questions, feel free to comment and I'll do my best to answer them! Have fun biker babes 💜

  13. We have to take into account that IRL, the alarm can be disabled. Ingame now? It can't, and if we give everyone the script ability to, they will which will be unbalanced. I like the suggestion, but I don't like the price. I'm more in favor of a paycheck price to pay for your alarm. You want a great alarm? It'll cost you from $500 to $2000 per paycheck for example, which is a huge price if you take into account how long someone will play with the alarm, but way more realistic than the huge buyout cost suggested here.

  14. Gaspar Romo gets Christian Blanco freedom, effectively removing the greenlight from over his head. This era of Vagos will be closing as a result after both leaders agreed to the faction being split. The remaining Vagos under Zack Patterson may pursue the concept as passed over to them by President Samuel Parejo, this will be under a new thread as to signify a "new era".

  15. I'm giving this a thumbsup, I'll try and comment on the OOC side of things here as well. So if we were to add this we are also partially avoiding a multitude of reports for not RP'ing vehicle damages correctly, makes the game more enjoyable, since well someone won't be pressured into reporting stupid shit. So from what I can tell this is just for deformations right? I say we need actual script-wise damages of vehicles meaning fuck the deformations if we can have script-wise damages that cause our vehicles to break down if we hit a wall or if we haven't had maitainenace in a bit, stuff like that. We need a fully scripted vehicle damage system, I'll be the first to say it but if opposing servers were to add this we'd be behind the competition, so something like this should be a thing. I think I speak for most people when I say that when you see someone slam into a wall at 100+ miles, you're just questioning how their vehicle is still in working order. If we get a system that makes our engine just break down, it'll boost roleplay by a lot. Fire is going to have a more enjoyable time responding to MVA's, PD's going to have more material and people will also not have to basically do a coin toss of if they're RP'ing something correctly. If we have a script in place, it'll boost it, then additional damages like oil leakage and shit is done by the player. I'm supporting this but also with the addition of a damage script.

  16. 17 December 2021 — General updates Due to other commitments, Bospy has stepped down as leader of Illegal Faction Management and the interim leader is Shanks. Bospy will remain within Illegal Faction Management within a senior role and continue to contribute to benefit the community. The IFM Council, this was a group of non-faction leaders within the IFM Discord who advised on server issues, has been shut down. The following comment was made: "I will be removing this council as it exists here as of now, as it serves little to no purpose anymore. I appreciate some of the discussions and advice we got out of this. This is to not create an elitist group of people that others feel they need to be selected to join in with to have their voice heard. The public discussions among leaders within illegal RP may come with better results." IFM has recently expanded and joining us is @slothy and @lambchops. Transparency, as much as possible, is being promoted. We will be avoiding back-end discussions that impact the majority of the community moving forwards. This means that there will be more discussions such as the proposed tier system. While not everything can be shared, we will make more of an effort. — Supplier Program Gun supplier is now OPEN until 01/JAN/2022, there was an adjustment of the regulations which was a removal and can be observed below. This change was made and clarified because as many people brought up, a faction status does not make anyone more "qualified" or trustable than the next. We have observed that some of the fairer players are those who do not have limitations of faction alliances in-character or restrictions. We are looking for 3 gun suppliers. We are aiming to get all acceptances out by 09/JAN/2022. This was removed from the regulations: Additional Gun Supplier Regulations The applicant must be applying on behalf of a faction. That official faction must have been official for at least 3 months. That official faction must have a theme befitting gun supplier. That official faction must have a reputation of good roleplay and abiding by rules. That applicant must have a clean admin record, a realistic character, and must have a realistic background. Active existing suppliers have had amounts increased; this was following the discussion that occurred regarding a proposed tier system as well as a deep dive into the logs to gain a more informed view of what is happening on the ground level of illegal roleplay within the server.

  18. PORT SECURITY SWAT? We say yes BY MILO NEIL Los Santos, SA - Terrorists. Organized criminals. Drug fueled psychos. Loiterers. It is undeniable: the brave men and women who process containers at the busy ports of San Andreas face a multitude of threats. Standing between these agents of chaos and our brave boys in blue are the SAPA's own security force. But are they enough to really neutralize the threats posed to port staff? The SAPA SWAT could respond to any incidents in these areas According to an insider source, a proposal has been made to beef up port security and ensure that the security team are adequately equipped to deal with the ever changing threat landscape that Los Santos' longshoremen face. The formation of a Special Weapons and Tactics team, staffed mostly with veterans from law enforcement agencies across the country has been floated. The new task force will be able to respond to serious incidents at the port faster than their LSPD SWAT and LSSD SEB counterparts. Rumors suggest that salaries will be higher and entrance requirements will be stricter than any equivalent forces provided by law enforcement in the state, creating what's been dubbed 'SAPA super soldiers'. Similar proposals been made in relation the San Andreas Park Rangers, but the Los Santos Post can confirm these are unsubstantiated. According to federal guidance provided by the FBI, airports and ports are among the most likely for terrorist attacks. So we ask, why not? What is there to lose? We at the Los Santos Post overwhelmingly throw our support behind this suggestion. Is it time Port Security SWAT? We say yes. COPYRIGHT THE LOS SANTOS POST > Comments are enabled Username: Comment:

  19. Completely agree that a functional alarm should cost 3 times as much as a house itself does because that way it'll be more like real life. Just like how in real life your house in an upscale neighborhood gets burglarized or has a robbery occur outside it at least a few times a month. It's for make the server more realistic +support

  22. Los Santos Reliable Network - The information you need, when you don't need anything. 2022 State Budget Leaked [LSRN EXCLUSIVE] BY MICHAEL HUNT Los Santos, SA - On 15th December 2021, one of our many informants within the San Andreas State Senate sent us a document - one that should not have been revealed to the public yet, but one that we believe is important for the well-being and information of the citizens of the State. Therefore, in the wake of the publication of the October & November Spending Reports, we're proud to show you the 2022 State Budget. Budget committee members, congratulating themselves for a hard day's work After a strange year in 2021, 2022 is up to a good start - among other things, we now have in our possession the details 2022 State budget that is full of surprises. First of all, the departments of Labor and Education will be altogether removed. According to our inside source, « Their budget rarely exceeded $12 overall, and most of the time it was paid in chicken nuggets or coupons to play at Pete's Arcade. It cost more to do their accounting than to fund them, so the committee felt it better to get rid of those. ». From now on, the way children from less favored areas are educated will be done in a manner best described as "I mean like, I don't know man, figure it out". As for the department of Labor, it will not be much of a change for them, as the position was held by what appears to be a 4-feet tall plushie of a Stegosaurus, sitting before a desk. The plushie will be put out for auction in early January. Other departments however were more lucky in the way their budgets were managed. We can indeed see the Ports of San Andreas being (once again) moved up in the budgets, and the Senate is considering giving the Port Authority (SAPR) their own seat at the Senate. According to our inside source, « I mean, giving trade groups a seat at the Senate worked just fine in the Star Wars prelogy, so why not in San Andreas, y'know? ». The Courts and DA's Offices are also similarly blessed: The 2022 San Andreas budget in one pie chart The mission statement of this 2022 budget, in the documents we obtained, is to « Focus the State's budget into its core missions: put people in jail, and like, y'know, port stuff. ». This is achieved by drastically scaling down departments that bring less value and re-allocating the funds more strategically. It appears there have been debates, as to whether an Office of MMA should have been added, but the decision was to push the discussion back to mid-2022. Several candidates for the position of Commissioner of MMA have been considered, such as Garbon Meqvabishvili, Naoko Mitsukuri, or someone from the Port Authority (SAPR). This is but the first phase of a more general change and optimization of the State Budget. The long-term plans for 2023 and 2024 are to remove the last departments altogether, dividing the entire state budget between the Courts, the DA's office, and the Port. This would then lead to a longer-term plan to focus the state's entire economy around the port, and the courts. And a longer-longer-term plan, to divide the lands of San Andreas between a giant courtroom and a giant port, although those remain even longer-longer-longer term objectives. Should we obtain more details and clarifications from those documents, we will of course make sure to let you know. The Los Santos Reliable Network (LSRN) is a dubious network of suspicious people, providing you with the most less reliable information around. Our articles should be taken as seriously as an ad for "escort services". Comment on FaceBrowser: https://face.gta.world/posts/198012 Comment on our website: > Comments are enabled Username: Comment:
