It is no secret the server found itself in a lot of bureaucracy and micro management over the years. Regardless what type of roleplay you find yourself into, you will eventually have to deal with one of the admin teams or various factions for a variety of reasons - house/business requests, LFM fundings, IFM schemes, RPQM, PF/CCW, Fire Inspections, Fishing/Huting license, business licensing and so on. No matter what idea you might have, you will eventually have to spill the beans in an elaborative essay or fill out formats to be able to do what you intent to do with your character. To put it into perspective - to start a small unique item store, lets say a music store, a person needs to Request a property with PM, detailing their project and why they need said property. This is reliant on a schedule which can, worst case, take between two to four months in total, Furnish or have the property furnished, Request a unique item script, once more detailing their project and need for the script support, Request LFM funding if their business is not self-sustaining due to the new absence of government checks by default Register the business with LSGOV and (if applicable) request a business license with LSGOV, Request and pass fire inspection with SFM, Have active donator status or employ an idividual with donator status, all while also working out their concept, seeking/creating graphic design, an IC website, employing personnel, setting up discord, stock/price list and much more. The total process between initial idea and first opening can easily take up between three months and half a year which creates a huge burden on the player that may be inspired and has an idea they wish to realize, but fails to maintain motivation through this lengthy process or simply does not start to begin with due to the many bureaucratic steps to be taken for their simple, small shop. My suggestion is to sit down and revise all these different applications, bureaucratic steps and essay writing. See what is actually necessary and benefits the server and roleplay quality, cut down on unnecessary writings and remove what creates a simple burden for the sake of simply being there whilst bringing no benefit to the playerbase and the roleplay quality on the server. The server and its community needs less bureaucracy and more natural character-to-character interactions. One with an idea should not have to jump 10 different hoops between in and out-of-character to make their idea reality. A player should not wait for weeks and months end for some requests to open or get a response to such. An admin should not be working nine to five exclusively having to push papers for the server and the sub-team they are in.

17 December 2021 — General updates Due to other commitments, Bospy has stepped down as leader of Illegal Faction Management and the interim leader is Shanks. Bospy will remain within Illegal Faction Management within a senior role and continue to contribute to benefit the community. The IFM Council, this was a group of non-faction leaders within the IFM Discord who advised on server issues, has been shut down. The following comment was made: "I will be removing this council as it exists here as of now, as it serves little to no purpose anymore. I appreciate some of the discussions and advice we got out of this. This is to not create an elitist group of people that others feel they need to be selected to join in with to have their voice heard. The public discussions among leaders within illegal RP may come with better results." IFM has recently expanded and joining us is @slothy and @lambchops. Transparency, as much as possible, is being promoted. We will be avoiding back-end discussions that impact the majority of the community moving forwards. This means that there will be more discussions such as the proposed tier system. While not everything can be shared, we will make more of an effort. — Supplier Program Gun supplier is now OPEN until 01/JAN/2022, there was an adjustment of the regulations which was a removal and can be observed below. This change was made and clarified because as many people brought up, a faction status does not make anyone more "qualified" or trustable than the next. We have observed that some of the fairer players are those who do not have limitations of faction alliances in-character or restrictions. We are looking for 3 gun suppliers. We are aiming to get all acceptances out by 09/JAN/2022. This was removed from the regulations: Additional Gun Supplier Regulations The applicant must be applying on behalf of a faction. That official faction must have been official for at least 3 months. That official faction must have a theme befitting gun supplier. That official faction must have a reputation of good roleplay and abiding by rules. That applicant must have a clean admin record, a realistic character, and must have a realistic background. Active existing suppliers have had amounts increased; this was following the discussion that occurred regarding a proposed tier system as well as a deep dive into the logs to gain a more informed view of what is happening on the ground level of illegal roleplay within the server.

Therefore, in the wake of the publication of the October & November Spending Reports, we're proud to show you the 2022 State Budget. First of all, the departments of Labor and Education will be altogether removed. We can indeed see the Ports of San Andreas being (once again) moved up in the budgets, and the Senate is considering giving the Port Authority (SAPR) their own seat at the Senate. According to our inside source, « I mean, giving trade groups a seat at the Senate worked just fine in the Star Wars prelogy, so why not in San Andreas, y'know? ». The Courts and DA's Offices are also similarly blessed: The 2022 San Andreas budget in one pie chart The mission statement of this 2022 budget, in the documents we obtained, is to « Focus the State's budget into its core missions: put people in jail, and like, y'know, port stuff. ». This is achieved by drastically scaling down departments that bring less value and re-allocating the funds more strategically. It appears there have been debates, as to whether an Office of MMA should have been added, but the decision was to push the discussion back to mid-2022. Several candidates for the position of Commissioner of MMA have been considered, such as Garbon Meqvabishvili, Naoko Mitsukuri, or someone from the Port Authority (SAPR). This is but the first phase of a more general change and optimization of the State Budget. The long-term plans for 2023 and 2024 are to remove the last departments altogether, dividing the entire state budget between the Courts, the DA's office, and the Port. This would then lead to a longer-term plan to focus the state's entire economy around the port, and the courts. And a longer-longer-term plan, to divide the lands of San Andreas between a giant courtroom and a giant port, although those remain even longer-longer-longer term objectives. Grove Street: Fatal Officer Involved Shooting Los Santos: In the early hours of Thursday, December 09, 2021, at around 03:00 a.m., officers assigned to Mission Row Patrol Division initiated a pursuit on a dirt bike regarding the discharge of a firearm. The pursuit initially started within the Jamestown region of Los Santos with a multitude of resources including an air-ship and LSPD Metropolitan Division responding to the backup request.During the pursuit, the individual dismounted from the motorcycle and lead officers on a foot pursuit into Davis. The individual led officers onto Grove Street when he brandished a handgun and began firing subsequently injuring the initial unit that gave chase resulting in an officer-involved shooting. The individual continued on foot with further resources from LSPD following the suspect. The individual again turned and discharged the firearm towards the officers. This resulted in a further two wounded officers. The airship guided resources towards the fleeing suspect where again the individual discharged the firearm and injured a fourth officer before being struck by returned fire from LSPD officers.Los Santos Fire Department was immediately alerted of the multiple casualties to which a number of resources were deployed to the scene. The suspect was declared deceased on scene by Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians. Investigators secured the firearm from the individual and submitted it into evidence for further analysis. The suspect was later identified as a resident of Los Santos, and his identity will not be revealed until the next of kin has been informed.A total of four LSPD Officers assigned to Mission Row Patrol Division were injured as a direct result of the suspect discharging his firearm towards them. Three Officers were stabilized by Los Santos Fire Department and were transferred to Pillbox Hill Medical Centre for further treatment.Unfortunately, an officer was declared deceased by on-scene medical responders. The next of kin have been informed and Los Santos Police Department is supporting family and friends during this tragic circumstance.We regret to announce the death of Los Santos Police Officer Michael Woodrowe.
