  3. The Seoul Family Gang or Seoul Money Gang (SMG) Boyz is one of the newer Asian cliques to come out of the Little Seoul neighborhood. It's primarily made up of those with Chinese and Vietnamese backgrounds with a smaller Korean and Japanese presence. It's rumored to have began in the mid-2010s: teenagers that attended the local high schools first running as the Vespucci Boyz before later transitioning into the Seoul Family Gang in 2019 as they began to gain in numbers and criminal consciousness. The clique has almost never prioritized gang banging as much as they have financial gain. Like many other Little Seoul street gangs with Asian backgrounds, they don't claim a single street: they consider the entire neighborhood their domain. Investigators claim that the Seoul Family Gang are partially to blame for the influx of narcotics and violence in the Little Seoul neighborhood. Additionally, a shooting was documented on December 15, 2021, where a woman was left in critical condition on Ginger Street outside of the Sunset Apartments building. Locals were unwilling to speak on the matter but an unnamed passerby claimed that the incident happened over a fist fight that transitioned into an attempted stabbing. Rumor has it that this violent act was an attempt at self-gentrification. The Los Santos Police Department have yet to make an arrest but bear suspicion on the outfit. We aim to portray a realistic Asian American gang operating in the Little Seoul area. While it's implied that the majority of the gang are Chinese and Vietnamese, we accept all East Asian characters. Newcomers should create their character somewhere between their mid-teens and early twenties. The goal of the group is to enrich and break the current norms of Asian American roleplay in the server. It is therefore heavily development-oriented and aims to capture the true essence of Asian Americans by veering away from the heavily sterilized take that the scene has been hindered by. With this said, we do not want run-of-the-mill gangbangers. We hope to incorporate a wide cast of characters: whether it may be loosely affiliated friends and girlfriends or, ultimately, hardened criminals serving time behind bars. 8. The Papadopoulos Connection Greek Organized Crime in Hawick and Alta The Papadopoulos Connection is a rather small group of Greeks based in the Alta/Hawick Area. This group is known for their relative exclusivity and cooperation with other local powers in the region, such as various Italian and Armenian crews. The makeup of this Greek organization is very homogenous, mainly consisting of blood relatives (close and/or distant), but surely all Greek. The group has been noted as heavily nationalist and Pro-Greek, moving to the States after the ban on their political party; The Golden Dawn (Greece). The Papadopoulos Connection notably participates in acts of Murder, Extortion, Fraud, Drug/Human trafficking, and illegal gambling operations. "Two young African-American males were found dead on Hawick Avenue this evening. Both males suffered bullet wounds to the head and abdomen and were found dead on the scene." -LSNN News. The structure of this organization is very strict, with the "Patriarch" of the family leading the organization. It is rare, but possible, for a non-relative Greek to rise to the top of the organization, the "Archigos" is the right hand man to the "Patriarch", conducting the organizations day-to-day by settling disputes and handling various other tasks. Below him, sit two "Ypolochagos", who run the street operations; micromanagement in summary. Little else is known about the organizations structure or members, but their presence is not as hidden. OOC The Papadopoulos Connection expects the best quality of roleplay for its members. If you think you can uphold the standards that this organization expects (Honesty, maturity, seriousness), feel free to contact me at Steviestacks#8531(Discord). By joining or associating this faction, you hand over your CK perms. Any questions or concerns should also be brought to my discord.

  9. To keep this short and sweet, the fact of the matter is that currently war mercenaries are required to be revealed to the opposing party. I think that a large part of the purpose of mercenaries is, in addition to supplementing the ranks, they are outside agents and not necessarily known by many parties at all. They operate often via the assumption their opponent is not ICly aware who they are. By forcing them to be revealed at the earliest moment, this opens it up to metagaming and decreases their value as a war asset. Metagaming, especially when characters are at risk and adrenaline is in play, is often subconscious. There is also the issue that by forcing the enemy ranks to know, they hesitate IC because they now know OOCly and can't determine whether or not the identification of an enemy mercenary (Which relies usually on intuition of subtle behaviours, much like IDing hitmen) stems from their IC or OOC knowledge or a mix of both. It is a messy affair. I propose 'mercenaries' to be forcibly made aware to IFM only, with increased vetting to make sure who could feasibly be one.

  10. Organized criminal groups are partially, if not fully, involved in criminal activity, in a particular state and / or everywhere, regardless of geographical boundaries. The goals of OCG members are unambiguous and simple, manifested in gaining respect, influence and power, as well as in making money. Perhaps the purpose of criminal organizations is the same, although there is no one specific rule or hierarchy according to which the OCG operates. Organizations may be hierarchical, clan ancestral formations, etc., of which we have heard or not heard. Groups like these are usually difficult to see in the eyes of ordinary citizens, as members of the organization cover their actions in many ways, be it corruption, violence, complex methods of communication, adjusting the white collar, or something else. With few exceptions, OCG groups aim to gain economic benefits, which they use in many ways, such as drug trafficking, smuggling, counterfeiting, illicit trade in firearms, illegal gambling, racketeering, counterfeiting, and other goods. One of the most common forms is drug trafficking. Although customs controls are tightening over time, by bypassing them, they still manage to smuggle goods across the state border and make huge profits through it, despite the best efforts of international organizations, especially the UN, which has even adopted three conventions. With regard to crime prevention, however, the result you will probably agree with is that there has not been any. Each convention was opposed to drug trafficking, as exemplified by Nixon's drug policy, although national or criminal organizations were able to win this "war" and make drugs more of a source of income for OCG groups. There are three important points in the world that are known to us as sources of drugs, namely Afghanistan, the Central Asian states, and South American countries. Afghanistan is famous for its "opium" production, and the goods reach Iran before the United States. It is difficult to say the date of the establishment of national or transnational organizations in Afghanistan, but it is easy to say the period when the Soviet-Afghan war contributed to the world market for opium. Because in the 20th century, China produced 22 thousand tons of "opium", which posed a great threat to China because it was still consumed by the Chinese, who, after severe restrictions, were forced to sell "opium" to Europe and the North. In the United States, it could be argued that opium played a major role in the development and formation of OCG, and perhaps it is to its credit that OCG groups are still actively involved in drug trafficking. The illicit trade in arms is one of the most lucrative businesses, so much so that it is second only in today's illicit trade in arms. The arms trade takes place in almost all regions of the world, although the source of arms is often conflict regions, i.e., countries with unstable political conditions such as Mexico, Pakistan, Lebanon, Sudan, and South Africa. Apart from this, it is impossible not to mention the Middle Eastern states, Saudi Arabia and Syria, their number being joined by the South American states. These countries are often the source of weapons within the US borders, but this does not mean that it is impossible to buy or sell non-imported illegal weapons within the US borders, as states such as Montana and Texas are often legal or not. The purchase of legal weapons by collectors, for whom only the weapon matters and not its legality. Racketeering means extortion or criminal coercion. It is one of the forms of organized crime, the most common form of which is protectionist racketeering, ie extortion in exchange for protection. Imagine, for example, that the OCG offered to protect the owner of his business from potential criminals, who might harm him as if it were a unique offer, but if refused, the OCG itself would be a potential threat to its business, which is why owners are often forced to "money" In the pockets of OCGs. However there are much better and smarter ways that have been refined over time. The principle and structure of OCG work is simple: the product arrives from the top layer with the ability to trade the item from hand to hand. According to the hierarchy, the main thing is to skip none of the steps, and when the item finally reaches the bottom, their task is to turn the product into money. Going up from the bottom, skipping none of the steps. Note: A separate guide will be devoted to covering criminal activity, money laundering, and liaising with law enforcement.
