  3. E/S GRAPE STREET RANCHO CRIP Grape Street Rancho Crip The East-side Grape Street Crip gang is a predominately African-American street-gang, based out of the Jordan Down Housing Projects in Eastside Rancho. They are known to have upwards of five hundred active gang-members, spread throughout various different cliques, such as: Dust Town Hoggs, Peda Roll Mafia, 103rd Street, Baby Locs and Bandera Blocc. Unlike other Crip sets, the Grape Street Crips wear purple colored bandanas. They are known to wear Colorado Rockies hats to represent Grape Street. They have also had their fair share of media coverage over the years, especially due to Grape Street native Jason Jamal Jackson, known by his stage name 03 Greedo. He was formerly known as Greedy Giddy. In 2016, Jackson was arrested in Texas on drug trafficking and possession of a firearm charges. Potter County Sheriff deputies found four pounds of methamphetamine and two stolen pistols. Jackson was sentenced to twenty years after accepting a plea-deal. His case has been well documented throughout mainstream media. It's rumored that he was transporting drugs from Memphis to Rancho, due to the Grape Streets having a set out in Memphis. The Jordan Downs are also the projects where Menace II Society was filmed at. Infighting and internal conflicts Kill Bill from Grape Street Rancho Crip was murdered by a fellow Grape Street member from the Dust Town Hoggs clique, sparking an internal feud after his death. There have been various bodies dropped due to infighting, as the internal conflicts seem to be getting more and more serious. Grape-dictments and Gentrification In 2008 Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey announced a 10-count indictment against several alleged members of the Grape Street Crips for possession of PCP and hundreds of gallons of highly toxic precursor chemicals used to manufacture PCP. According to the 10-count indictment, the PCP manufacturing and distribution ring was led by Alphonso Eugene Foster, 38, a senior member of the Grape Street Crips, along with Kim Vernell Walker, 45, a long-time member of the Santana Blocc Crips. This, along with the infamous 03 Greedo case are just two cases where the Grape Street Crips have been busted. They are known to control a large percentage of the black-market in Los Santos. The Jordan Downs were one of the first areas in Los Santos affected by the crack pandemic in the 1980s and 1990s. The Jordan Downs are one the roughest housing projects to be from, having an estimated poverty rate of 75% in 2018. Even though the projects have been getting gentrified in recent years, the poverty still runs deep in Rancho. Due to the fact that the rent is getting more and more expensive, even more people end up homeless. Some of the original projects have been torn down by the city of Los Santos and new projects have already been built, gentrifying the neighborhood, making it more diverse, but also raising the rent in the Rancho neighborhood. Roots of the Grapes The vast majority of African-American families in the Jordan Downs are rooted in the South, with most families originally coming from Louisiana and Mississippi, migrating to the projects in Los Santos during the first migration wave in the 1940s and the second migration wave in the 1960s and 1970s. The Southern-culture is deeply rooted in the projects, whether it be the language, the food and traditions, as well as the fact that they are stuck inside of the projects, much like a lot of families in the South during current times. S/S RANCHO VARRIO GRAPE 13 Southside Rancho Varrio Grape 13 The Varrio Grape gang is a predominantly Mexican-American street gang, also located on the Eastside of Rancho. They are known to share the Jordan Down Housing Projects with the Grape Street Crips. The two gangs were originally one gang, known as Rancho Varrio Grape, but the Mexican members split off from the African-American members in the 1970s, aligning themselves with the Mexican Mafia, adopting the name Southside Rancho Varrio Grape 13, as to where the African-American members became the Grape Street Rancho Crips. Both gang still co-exist and are on good-terms, quite like a family, due to members having relatives in both gangs and for the simple fact that they grow up in the same exact housing projects. The Rancho Varrio Grapes have multiple cliques, such as the Tiny Wynos, Quarter Gang and Gangster Locos. Warzone: Feuds on the Eastside The Grapes are known for their deadly beef with the Bounty Hunter Bloods in the Nickerson Gardens, as well as the PJ Rancho Crips located in the Imperial Courts Housing Projects on the Eastside of Rancho. They also beef Florencia 13 and the East Coast Crips. As well as the Hacienda Village Bloods, 92 Bishop Bloods. the Ten Line Gangster Crips, all Mafia Crips, as well as the Weigand Colonia Rancho 13. The Tiny Wynos Major The Southside Rancho Varrio Grape gang is known to have a bunch of African-American members, even though the gang is predominantly Mexican-American. The face of Rancho Varrio Grape is a African-American male known mostly by his stage name 1Way, also known as Purple Demon. He went viral in Los Santos county after a couple of his freestyles did numbers on the social media platform Instagram. Younger members often refer to him as the major, with a lot of the newer generation even going as far as to adding 1Way to their social media names. Anthony, also known as 1Way, is one of the main reasons the Rancho Varrio Grapes even have a social media presence, as there is barely any real knowledge about the gang itself. They are known to wear Colorado Rockies gear, as well as gear from the Washington Nationals and Milwaukee Brewers. Rancho Varrio Grape vs. Fudge Town Mafia The war between the two gangs ignited to a new height in 2008, after Artie "Limp" Pullam (30) was killed by a group of Rancho Varrio Grape members. Witnesses co-operated, therefore Rancho Varrio Grape member Leonard Rocha was arrested and sentenced to 50 years in prison. The next incident occurred when the Fudge Town Mafia Crips retaliated and killed Jose Cardona (16) from Rancho Varrio Grape in early 2011. Emmanuel Berry (17), another Varrio Grape Street affiliate, as well as Angelica Escalante (19) who was not gang-affiliated, were killed by Fudge Town just three months later. Oscar Daniel Arevalo (32) was killed just four months after the last murder between the two gangs had occured. He had been shot a total of fifteen times. GANG CULTURE Tag-Banging Gang members are known to tag their hoods onto walls in their respective turf. Most of the time a tag is being sprayed it is just the gang's geographical location and their initials. For example, the South-Side Rancho Varrio Grape Street 13 gang would tag SS RVGST13, the Westside Rollin Sixties NeighborHood Crips would tag WS RSNHC for example. Gang-members will occasionally go "tag-banging" in enemy turf. Most gang-members are armed while doing so, as it is dangerous to tag another hood's wall. A lot of the times other members record the tagger. Next to their own gang's name, they will whack-out already existing tags the enemy gang has left there. They also often diss rival gangs by adding the letter "K" to the enemy gangs initials whilst tagging on a wall, such as BHK for Bounty Hunter Killer. Watch That Word In Los Santos, a lot of seemingly harmless words can be used to mock or diss rival hoods. Everyday words to normal civilians, such as: Fries, toast, stains, flowers or meatloaf, can end up in a violent altercation as they are all terms to diss certain sections in Los Santos. Diss names are mainly words that rhyme with the enemy gang's name. Grape Street becomes Fake Street, Five-Five NeighborHood becomes Fries, East Coast turns into Cheese Toast, the Black P Stones turn into Stains, Florencia turns into Flowers and Menlos turn to Meatloafs. Certain hoods like the Rollin 00s do not use the word "Ok" as it would mean "Owe-Killer '', therefore dissing their own hood. The language is tricky for someone who is not brought up in that type of environment, so your "Average Joe '' would not understand what is talked about. Annual Hood-Day Celebrations Most gangs in Los Santos County have a designated "set-day" or "hood-day", it's like the gangs birthday, where all members get together to celebrate their fallen brothers and usually engage in all types of social activities, such as having a barbecue, smoking and drinking together, shooting dice and all sorts of other activities. Some larger gangs collect money to rent out an AirBnB for their "hood-day". The anual "hood-day" basically depends on what street you are from, for example: Rollin Sixties turf runs around 60th Street and 10th Avenue, therefore their "hood-day" is on June 10th. 6/10. The Eight-Tray Gangsters celebrate their "set-day" on August 3rd. 8/3. The Grape Streets are known to celebrate their "hood-day" on October 3rd. 10/3. Due to their main clique being on 103rd. Members are know to dress to impress on a "hood-day", often getting custom made Dickies suits. Gang Politics The politics differ from the geographical location of a gang as well. West LS politics are different from East LS politics, as well as Rancho politics are different from Carson politics. "Politicking" is a term used to describe gang-members talking about gang-topics, such as rivalries and recent events, as well as talking about allies. Members often hold weekly or monthly meetings just to politic. If a member does not show up to the meeting, he will be "DP'ed'', a gang-members term for a disciplinary procedure. A "DP" usually has the person who is being "DP'ed" lined up in front of various gang-members he has to fight. In general you are being put-off the set after three "DPs", though this heavily depends on the severity of the act that got someone "DP'ed' ' in the first place. Gang-Tatts and Eye-Busters Most gang-members proudly represent where they are from in the form of either clothing or gang related tattoos. Whether it be their location, by getting a street name or sign tattooed. Members are also often seen having their gang's initials tattooed onto them. A lot of reputable gang-members who are known to have been aggressors in beefs with rival gangs have "eye-busters" for tattoos. A "eye-buster" is the term for tattoo of a enemy gang whack-out. "Eye-busters" are eye catching, as they are mostly tattooed on the face and neck area, as well as on top of a gang-members hand or hands. Members who get unnecessary "eye-busters" are often regulated by their older homies, as someone who hasn't been actively involved in a beef should not have a "eye-buster", as they did nothing to earn it. Gang tattoos are seen like stripes, you have to earn them and not just get them. Getting a tattoo without being active is frowned upon and can lead to a "DP", short for disciplinary procedure. Netbanging and the use of Social-media Taunting through the use of social media is very prevalent in today's day and age. It goes as far as getting clothing made to specifically taunt opposing gangs. Gang members like to show out on social media, taking shots at anyone that crosses their path. an be done in a plethora of ways, be it the use of derogatory terms for the opposition, which is mostly derived from the name a gang holds. Every gang identifies with a specific block or certain street. The section a person is from will get slandered on social media. Street signs often get stolen and can be seen in the possession of a rival gang throughout social media. Gang members often throw up rival gang signs with one hand and use their other hand to point a middle-finger at it in pictures to get under the skin of their enemies. Gang related politics always end up on social-media, with gangs openly boasting about murders. A lot of the times if someone decides to snitch on a fellow gang-member, his paperwork will be leaked on social-media, this can lead to a persons life being in severe danger. Some gang-members also use Instagram as a creativity outlet, using the draw tool on their phones to scribble up gang-related tags or whack out opposing hoods in their posts. A big part in todays gang-culture is Instagram Live. A feature that allows you to chat with live viewers whilst you broadcast yourself with your smartphone. Gang-members will often ride around other hoods during live videos, where they point out how nobody is outside in said hood, taunting their enemies for not being in their own hood. Though being live on Instagram can also lead to serious consequences. Indian Redboy from Centinela Park Families learned this the hard way. The car he was in was identified through the live-video and he was shot and killed on his own Instagram livestream after publishing too much valuable information about himself because of the use of social media. Jailhouse Politics Whether they want to or not, most gang-members will end up in jail or prison, when they will be hit hard by reality, living in close quarters with rivaling hoods and nowhere to hide. As soon as a gang-member hits county-jail, everything changes. Depending on your race or gang-ties, you will have to run with a certain "car", to whom you have to present your paperwork. The Southsiders stick with their race and have to fall in line. Every beef two Mexican gangs might have on the street is put on pause while incarcerated. African-American Southsiders have to stick to the code of the Mexican Mafia as well. Most Caucasians are part of the "Woods" car, unless they are members of a street-gang, in this case they check in with either the "Southsider", "NeighborHood Crip", "Blood", "Hoover" or "Gangster Crip" car, though this is frowned upon by most "Woods" and will definitely get you weird looks. All NeighborHood Crips stick together in county-jail, going up against a strong alliance that all non-NeighborHood Crips have formed. The Gangster Crips, Hoovers and Bloods form the "Moovin-Groovin-Suuwhoopin" alliance in the county-jail system. If you happen to get into a dorm with mostly enemies, you will have to fight each and every enemy that wants to fight you. They will line up and make you fight every one of them until you can't get up no more. When you hit an actual penitentiary, all the jail politics get thrown out of the window once again. Now you just run with the "Black" car, the "Southsider" car, the "Woods". Being in an actual prison is a step-up from being locked up in the county jail, as there is less fighting and an overall higher standard. You will get to walk through an actual yard where you can lift weights, play basketball and do all sorts of activities, unlike in the county jail. OOC INFORMATION The Concept We are heavily based on the real-life Grape Street Crips, as well as the Watts Varrio Grape 13 gang in and around the Jordan Down Housing Projects on the Eastside of Watts. We are mainly focused on the Baby Locs and Tiny Wynos, though some people in the group can be from other sub-cliques as well. We are a two in one faction that is mainly focused on the everyday life and coexistence between the two gangs we are portraying. If you'd like to be a part of this project, feel free to DM the group's leadership. Keep in mind that before making your character, the community is the key. We're portraying a street-gang within a community, however, if you are looking for something higher to tie it all together, this is where our emphasis on our community development and interaction comes into play. Our ultimate goal is to portray a realistic street gang with a community like atmosphere within the Rancho neighborhood. It is imperative that you check it frequently to stay up to date with the conversations and topics that are present revolving around the faction within the Discord. If you're not serious about role-playing with us and don't have any quality role-play to contribute to the faction then don't even bother joining because you will be weeded out and removed without a warning. The Must-Knows before joining In order to become accepted into the faction, you are asked a couple of questions beforehand, in order to evaluate your standing in the faction. The High Council would like to see a reasonable character-introduction. We'd politely ask you to send us some of the past factions you've been in, as well as your characters goals and such. We'd like to know what you hope to reach within this faction and are willing to help you on your way to reach said goal. KEEP IN MIND that your character development should start off between the ages 12-15. We put a huge emphasis on the fact that we try to roleplay everything to the smallest detail and as realistic as possible. (Sometimes maybe over-realistic for a roleplay server.) If you are joining us in order to obtain mods or guns with the hopes of making a cool DM video while rocking the newest modpack, this is not the faction for you and you will be weeded out and removed without further notice. Yours, the Grape Street High Council OOC Information The faction itself consists of a majority of American-time zoned members (GMT -4 to GMT -8), however, there are quite a few members in the European timezone (GMT 0), so people should keep in mind that you will probably catch people in-game no matter what timezone you are in. Every day is different, so our "peak" times cannot be specified. You will most likely catch more members online during the night time and sometimes during the afternoon due to school and work (between 2:00 PM and 12:00 PM). If you'd like to take a sneak peak to what we are up to, feel free to join our Discord. If you'd like to keep updated on our development make sure to click on "Follow topic". Questions, concerns, criticism and ideas can be sent to me via forum PM or via Discord, @Extrad Out#8939 or @Ali.#2898 . Click the icon below to get access to our Discord server.

  4. Because this isn't a direct payment to the charity you're doing, this goes through the company first and then to the charity as signed with the NPO. 1) We're still providing you a service that should be paid to the company, so it would be normal to pay something to the company. If you're checking around internet, most websites doing similar things for black friday only give back from 1% to 5% of the price you pay to charity during black friday. We give back 50%. 2) This is 50% of the DIRECT PRICE you pay, not 50% of the benefits! Let's take the 100€ purchase : on this we have to pay 20% VAT, then the payment provider fee (2-3%), then the company tax of 33%. Yes, this is more than 50% we're talking about. On top of that you'll also need to add people who chargeback their payments (~5%) in the next 2 years.

  5. If you drive 120 mph down the road and hit somebody, or you're one of those people who run reds and get hit by oncoming traffic, you should roleplay that every time because that's you being an idiot. It hinders your roleplay to do it? Well, maybe if you drove better it wouldn't be such an issue would it?

  8. Balkan Insight reports that the gang of 13 people charged between € 20,000 (US$ 21,800) and € 50,000 (US$ 54,400) to carry out a hit. The criminal organization is also accused of a multitude of other crimes including murder, drugs and arms trafficking and organized crime.

  9. i can't imagine any valid response to this other than "well i like it and so should you" that 40 minutes point towards the end really sums it up, not everyone plays for 5+ hours a day to have an hour free to lend for rp that is repetitive and doesn't advance anything for anyone, i agree that people should drive safer but there should be script-enforced consequences for speeders in a collision in that case people conflate "good rp" with "it happens in real life so it must happen here" far too much

  10. I haven't read this full thread, so I don't know if this has already been mentioned. I would appreciate a response from Nervous, since this appears to be his idea, rather than just guess answers from others or staff. Why is only half of the donated money going to the charity? In the spirit of charity, it should be all of it, or at least a larger percentage than 50% - are there hidden overheads that we are unaware of? This event has raised a significant amount of money so far, and I find it crazy how half of that goes straight into the pockets of the staff/whoever gets paid. I think it's a great idea, I'd just like to see all of the money, or a lot more of it, actually making it to the charity we chose - I don't particularly think adding a few cars and some donation options to a website/the script/the server/etc justifies being paid an extra several thousand euros that you perhaps wouldn't otherwise normally have.

  11. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, really. Echoing what others have said: Cracking down on this server's ease to void a car crash due to desync/lag (which 99% doesn't exist) will improve peoples' general awareness and driving, but it will be a nightmare because the people who do follow sensible driving practices IC will inevitably have to pay by being wrecked by a ball of metal that refuses to play by those rules. Allowing people to void crashes if they both agree will on the other hand continue enabling the people who drive around at 130mph around the city. Personally, the only way I see to realistically make people drive better is if damage to a car didn't disappear after /vp (save for scratches). If your car had a consistent, hidden health bar and every little crash (regardless of a void) meant money out of your pocket to eventually fix it (as well as running around with a half-wrecked sports car), a lot of people would stop being so reckless. EDIT: This might also actually make insurance money mean something if a system was put in place to potentially make the cost of these repairs more trivial (in which if you provoke a car crash and have no insurance you can be in real trouble economically and legally), just saying :))))
