The Five-Percent Nation of Islam has been known to hide behind the aura of religious protection, but some believe it’s only real religion is the worship of money and power. The Five-Percent Nation, also known as the Gods, the New Nation of Islam, and various other names, is a loosely organized gang more often at war with other factions of itself than with opposing gangs. The group has its roots in the early 1930s with the first stirrings of a movement which became popularly known as the Black Muslims in the 1960s and the Nation of Islam today. The Nation of Islam's tenet that the White Man is a blue-eyed evil is well known. A lesser well known belief is another tenet taught by the Nation, that the Black Man is god. They believe that ten percent of the people of the world know the truth of existence, and that the world’s “elites” keep 85 percent of the world in ignorance and under their controlling thumb. The remaining percentage are those who know the truth and are determined to enlighten the rest. The remaining percent of those who know the truth and are intent on spreading their knowledge make up the Five Percent Nation. In 1963, a student minister named Clarence 13 X founded the Five Percent Nation when he split with the Nation of Islam. He was a student of Malcolm X, but left his mosque because he disagreed with the Nation of Islam over the nature and identity of God. The Nation said its founder, W. D. Farad Muhammad was God. But Clarence reasoned that only a pure black man could fill that role -- and to him, there was nothing "purely black" about Muhammad, who was bi-racial. Clarence 13 X also rejected the traditional Muslim belief that God was separate from man. Instead, Clarence 13 X claimed that the black man was God personified, and that each black man could cultivate and eventually realize his godliness through meditation, study, and spiritual and physical fitness. To Clarence 13 X and a handful of close friends, these new ideas were a revelation. To the Nation of Islam, they were heretical. So Clarence 13 X split with the Nation in 1963 and changed his name to Allah the Father. He took his message to the youth inhabiting inner city streets nation wide, teaching them that black Americans had inherited a legacy stretching back to the great civilizations of Africa, and that they should reclaim their greatness by fighting for racial equality and self-determination. The Muslim community is widely considered the most diverse in terms of their ethnic backgrounds in the United States. A 2010 survey of religious institutions, including mosques, offers some of the most specific information available about the number of Muslims living in Southern San Andreas. The U.S. Religion Census, conducted by the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies, estimated there are 120,868 Muslims living in Los Santos, Las Venturas, San Fierro and Whetstone. While San Andreas is the nation's most populous state, it has fewer Muslims than Texas, Liberty City or Illinois. The Los Santos chapter of the Council on American-Islamic relations estimates there are around 500,000 Muslims in the region. The Paleto Bay-based Shura Council offers a similar figure for the counties within it’s region. That study found that the makeup of Southern Los Santos mosques is significantly more African-American and South Asian than it is nationally, and somewhat less Iranian. Islam is the fastest growing religion in U.S. prisons, where the population is 18 percent Muslim (compared to 1 percent for the general population); 80 percent of all prison religious conversions are to Islam. Muslims prisoners have been characterized as a danger or threat for radicalization in the media. Yet despite the fact of there being over 350,000 Muslim inmates in the United States, little evidence indicates widespread radicalization or foreign recruitment. Rather, research has shown that Islam has a long history of positive influence on prisoners, including supporting inmate rehabilitation for decades. Knowing how many Muslims are in state prisons helps prison officials understand the importance of respecting religious practice for a significant and growing portion of people in prison. A report on this topic compiled 163 lawsuits between October 2017 and January 2019 in which Muslims alleged their right to practice was being violated.

Right. I get tensions are high here given recent news and developments. Forum moderation staff have received a good number of complaints about this thread and other administrators have removed at least two or three pages of content that's in violation of forum rules. There's no "good" day when someone loses their life. There's no "good" day when someone gets arrested, gets sentenced to years away from their family and friends. Nothing about this is a good scenario for anyone involved. This isn't "GTAW condones supporting someone sentenced for murder," but is me trying to treat people as people - And I feel bad for everyone involved, regardless of side and circumstance. However, after talking to IFM, this thread needs a bit of a chill-out. Thread will be unlocked in the near future.

Name: Crohn's & Colitis UK Description of the charity's activities: Crohn's & Colitis UK has been the lead organization in searching for treatments for Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis (UC) which both affect the digestive tract. Why should we choose this charity?: First and foremost, I would like to briefly explain what Crohn's/UC is since a lot of people have either only heard of the disease or have flat out never heard of it at all. Crohn's falls under the IBD umbrella (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). It causes inflammation of your digestive tract, which can lead to abdominal pain, severe diarrhea, fatigue, weight loss and malnutrition. UC is quite similiar to Crohn's as it also affects the digestive tract and can also be treated using the same type of medicine, however, the paramount difference between the two are Ulcerative Colitis is limited to the colon while Crohn's disease can occur anywhere between the mouth and the anus. IBD in general is rarely talked about as it affects such a "taboo" area of people's bodies. Whilst you may have not even have heard of Crohn's, UC, or even IBD, a lot of celebrities/public figures you may know of have it. People like MrBeast, Dynamo (the magician), Pete Davidson, Chuck Lorre, Dan Reynolds, and many, many more all have IBD. Did you know that? How does IBD affect people day to day? This varies from person to person, but, for some it can be very serious, and for others it can be extremely mild. I personally suffer with this illness myself and I am exceptionally lucky that my Crohn's is leaning towards the mild end of the spectrum. Patients with IBD have an increased risk of cancer development as a result of their illness. As for why this charity should be picked, Crohn's & Colitis UK is known as a very reputable charity in searching for treatments, and ultimately a cure for a disease which at this current moment of time is incurable. In addition, whilst this cause may appear quite niche and potentially even to some a waste of time bothering to look at donating for this charity, when admittedly people above have put far greater causes, the approximate five million people worldwide suffering from this disease would be profoundly appreciative of just your understanding of this disorder. The Guangzhou Society was Formed in Guangzhou, China in 1945 by a group of anti-communists during and after the Chinese civil war. Admin rulings/guidelines should be reworked to be more harsh on people that are clearly not here to roleplay. To specify, things like clearly crashing and not RPing it, logging out to avoid consequences/scenarios, avoiding forum reports, etc. Any of these things should be met with a much more harsh punishment then if you made a mistake in game or something similar. I'm plagued daily by people who log off on me to avoid arrest/scenarios and I'm sure people who aren't law enforcement deal with this as well. Just a few examples from me are when people barricade themselves inside of a house, we get multiple people to log in to deal with the situation, only for the person to log. It's incredibly demotivating and tiresome. Another example would be people who are evading and hit every object possible, not RPing anything, and then they continue or log. Situations like that where the person is maliciously avoiding RP should be met with a ban or final warning for those actions.

Hello there 🙂 TL;DR: fear can lead to a wide array of different reactions, other than "crying and shaking", but only this specific one seems to be considered good fear RP. This sort of ignores the entire character's background, and the very way how fear works in the first place. Suggesting some small amendments to the powergaming rule to allow for more nuance in fear RP (at the bottom of the post). With all the discussions about robberies, one topic in particular came back quite often, which is the "X person didn't properly roleplay fear". It's nothing new, the whole "you didn't RP fear" thing has been going on since SAMP. In theory, the rules state: Now, the main problem here is that fear is an extremely complex emotion, which leads to a lot of misunderstanding and a lot of interpretations. Most people, usually on the robber/aggressor/admin side, seem to believe that "good fear RP" will involve crying and shaking and doing anything the attacker requests. The problem is... this is rarely how it happens in reality. In fact, quite surprisingly, the less people are trained, the more they're likely to react in a totally stupid manner if they get mugged. If there are people here who work/have worked in the police, they will most likely have seen cases where they thought "Why the fuck did you not just comply, you moron??", and most people who fight back or are smug are those who REALLY SHOULDN'T DO THAT. The main reason for that is that fear tends to fog the frontal cortex, and it turns out it's the area of our brain where information is analyzed, and where rational decisions are made... This leads to situations such as this one, or that one. Those are mere examples among many, but the most important quote from the last one is: "It never crossed my mind that I'm only 99 lbs and he's 150 lbs,". It most likely didn't because she was not trained to manage fear-intense situations. A big, big part of self-defense training isn't just martial arts, but also to train your brain and make sure you can still properly treat information when you're getting attacked or threatened. Instead of "my phone gone => what's going on => give phone back!!!! => fight!!", your brain goes: "this guy grabbed my phone => observe him => he's big => he's armed => he doesn't seem to be trying to attack, just to rob => if I let him go I'll be fine => let him go". The fact is that many people would consider some reactions as "bad fear RP", such as being incoherent, saying bullshit, reacting slowly, or fighting back. However, those happen to be perfectly realistic reactions, that can happen. Problem is, someone who *is having* a very good reaction and logical RP can be... CK'd as a reward, as indicated in the rules: Most often, in "lack of fear RP" reports, the admin will state whether there was "good fear RP" or not, without knowing a shred of the character's background information :x While as mentioned earlier, a character who is poorly trained has a very real chance of doing something stupid and self-defeating, getting shot in the process. And I'm not sure the "reward" for voluntarily taking an L because you're properly RP'ing that your char is an idiot should be a CK ^^' So with the context placed, we're getting to the suggestion itself. => Make sure judgement is passed after the handling admin has a minimum of knowledge of why the character reacted this way. In essence, don't say "Your RP fear is bad", but ask "Why did your character react like that?". It's a simple question, but it will easily determine who RP'd properly ("My char didn't understand what was going on" / "My char made a big error in judgement and thought they could take those guys, big mistake") from who powergamed ("My char knew he could 1v8 those people with machineguns because he's a marine and they should be dead they're the true powergamers!!"). => Take into account the many ways people react to fear. The most common reactions to fear that are accepted in modern science are avoidance ("flight"), confrontation ("fight"), panic ("cry for your life"), confusion ("freeze"/"deer in headlights"*). Currently, only one of those seems to be considered good RP (panic) and the rest can lead to a ban or a CK or both :x => Keep the CK clause only for the most egregious cases. A character can IC'ly look at a situation and very poorly estimate it. Lack of information, fear, poor training, can all lead someone to do something stupid. It makes sense, it's how it happens IRL. A CK is a pretty harsh sentence, for a mistake that can be purely IC :x F.A.Q.: - Someone LESS trained would FIGHT? That's counter-intuitive! Yep, it is. It's often the case when our ability to make complex decisions is impaired - such as when we're afraid. It is however a subject well-studied by psychologists. In a nutshell, our fear reactions are perfectly appropriate when facing a predator in the savannah, but really not built for a modern city where the threats are vastly different, and there is a big premium on mind clarity and calm analysis. Fascinating field ^^ - How would an admin determine whether the player's answer is good or bad? They're usually hardener RP'ers, who should be able to recognize whether an explanation is ok - based on a character's personality and background - or meh - based on nothing. That said, the suggestion's supposed to make it better, not perfect. - You sayin' everyone should fight back? Not really, I'm saying it could (and should) happen. Even in situations when fighting back is the worst possible idea, unfortunately for the victim ^^' Also they should sometimes run away (even if it's dumb), freeze, mouth off if the adrenaline ends up making them overconfident, ... there's a world of possibilities! - But my char chain robs, if people can react by not crying and complying, it will make my amazing /rob RP harder! I'm sure you can adapt 😛 *not-so-funfact, this perfectly natural reaction is commonly used against victims with the classic "why didn't you call for help? It's because you weren't REALLY getting attacked/assaulted/raped/etc." 😕

Just because you don't like it IRL and it's cringe, doesn't mean the RP can't be high quality, done right. Do I agree with skinheads IRL? No. But do I mind if it's done in a right fashion? No, because it is done right. A huge problem with this server is people tend to RP their in real life emotions and not a character, they RP their real life self. You are not your character. If you are British IRL, your char. doesn't have to be. Why? Are people that sensitive IRL, here? Treat GTA:W as a book. You write the story, you read other people's stories.

If the stability issues can be resolved, I'd love to see ped skins come back. The only ones that exist are ones from players that managed to keep them from before they were removed. I've personally always be amazed by their work and courage to directly go into conflict areas, risking their lives and losing colleagues in war conflicts just save people they know nothing about. Their action with migrants in all European countries is also massive and they helped many of them to survive through the tough steps of having to completely change your life by fleeing in another country.
