  4. OK, so with the tax Nervous mentioned the prices will depend on how many hours you've been online. If you've been online for more than 20hours its a very low percentage of money you'll pay. Neglectable since you'll have received that money back through the 20 unemployment checks you'll have earned. In the event that someone is not very active, yet still wants to keep their property? The taxes will increase, and like I said before. Someone will just do a few extra shifts wherever to make that money. Lets assume for a second thats not the case, as you point out. Maybe its too much effort. I can guarantee you, this will STILL not encourage people to sell their property. They might lose 30-40k a month to hold onto their property. But in the long run, this is well worth it. Losing 400k over a 10month span is still better than selling your house for the maximum 700k you can ask while in reality you could sell it for double if not triple that in an open economy. The land itself is simply worth more than the house. And then I haven't even mentioned yet how people are simply going to rent out their properties to people for the exact amount of money the tax is. So they can keep their property, not sell it, they won't lose any money. And they were rarely using it anyway. Like I said before, band-aid solutions. You won't fix the housing problem if you don't make it an open economy. The whole "New players don't have any chance to buy one then" is all cute. But right now NOBODY has a chance to buy one unless you're lucky enough to know a friend whos quitting the server or something similar and is willing to sell to you. People have mentioned this a thousand times on this thread but some people are really adamant about not wanting to see this. You have to pick the lesser of the two evils, I'd rather have an open, active market that is super expensive. Compared to absolutely NO market at all. I don't blame ANYONE for wanting to trade, money becomes useless at a certain point because you have nothing to spend your money on. Like people said before, properties are becoming the new currency.

  5. "Rise By Lifting Others" ((The aspect of this post referring to the LSPD or LSSD is merely fictional as it's with the intention to inform the reader about the group, as this, did not happen IC) The McKay Cooperative is a group of wholesale drug dealers and gun distributors. Contrary to most illegal collectives, The McKay Cooperative does not exercise violence and force on a regular basis. Rather, TMC is focused on creating friendly relationships, establishing networks and of course, making money. This collective refrains from drug use and abuse. Founded over one year ago, TMC acts as a liaison between large distributors and street crews. Operations have since moved from Paleto Bay to Los Santos, to provide ‘clients’ fast and reliable service. TMC does not own territory, and does not conduct business on the territory of other known groups. The only exception is conducting a sale to the territory's group. A few months ago, TMC’s leader, Maverick ‘Doc’ McKay connected with a French distributor who smuggles small firearms and ammunition across the world. Maverick McKay and Jason Quinn combined forces to offer the illegal community a trustworthy, reliable, and safe method of acquiring pure drugs, and illegal weaponry. Now in Los Santos, Maverick and Jason aim to expand their network, in hopes of creating a unified network of buyers. [OOC Section] TMC is wanting to portray a realistic group of professional (but illegal) distributors based in Los Santos! This Faction does not operate in a definitive location and focuses on the development of the character, and faction as a whole. 6. im saying we should regulate both, you're saying a freaky weirdo civilian char is acceptable when an illegal char just as stupid is not acceptable. thats what i meant when i said ur logic is contradictory. illegal rp has always been a constant dynamic of roleplay servers. we dont have an epidemic of illegal rpers robbing and/or shooting each other. its stupid to call it an epidemic because that is the basis of that rp scene. we are roleplaying in one of the crime capitals of the united states. u cant unironically throw false statistics around and treat los santos as if it was an irl city, with everything happening in real time. it has a high murder rate (which isnt really THAT high. i rp an leo and we get like 3-4 shots fired calls a day, max 8-9 if its a VERY busy day. los angeles has way more than that) because time ic is not how it is irl. we often time-skip and get to the interesting parts, which often include conflict as most works of fiction and entertainment do, and conflict in gangland often results in weapons being discharged, hence the "high" frequency of shootouts. the pedos u mentioned are actively shunned by the illegal community. they are also a rarity, and once outed, they are actively barred by illegal rpers. they do not reflect the illegal rp community one bit. i agree when u say theres not much realistic about the server right now, because the overall rp quality is quite bad, both legal and illegal. legal rpers mostly exist solely to erp each other and illegal rpers often lack character depth. efforts to fix this, and criticism towards this is often thrown aside by both sides. legal rpers say "oh boo hoo i got robbed!!!!!! boo hoo my pf gun was lost, and i couldnt erp this hot lesbian chick!!! fuck illegal rp!!!! they are all pedos!!!!!" and illegal rpers say "oh boo hoo i couldnt dm someone tonight, boo hoo my gang couldnt sell this many drugs this week". both sides are mad stupid and barely contribute to the overall rp quality of the server

  7. Was a good short run... it's to bad it couldn't have lasted longer than it did. Shouts out to all who interacted with us and took part in the faction. Met a lot of good friends here & a lot of us still plan to take part in Sureno roleplay after this. For now... if an admin could please archive this thread.

  8. Rebind & Controller-Support The Wheel now supports rebinding and controller input. To set up your custom keys use the GTA:V Keybind-Menu. Find an image below detailling the slot to key mapping. To rebind opening and closing the wheel just rebind the Weapon Wheel Control (Default: Tab). Note: Rememeber that you can quick switch weapons on the same slot by tapping the slots-key rapidly. Note: Using Controller triggers to move your Weapon-Wheel Mouse is currently not an option as it involves a conflict of free mouse movement versus stick-mouse. If you use a controller you are stuck to using the hot-keys on the controller instead of the stick to control selection.

  11. Short description: Overhaul the shark system, get rid of the vanilla shark script and get a new one. Detailed description: Currently, the sharks are client-sided, they appear randomly for people, prey on you instantly and kill you. The new idea would be to get rid of this useless system, and replace them by actual NPCs like the coyotes on Cassidy Trail. This could provide the server with multiple benefits listed below. Their behavior could be a mix of coyotes and other animals: They could be rather pacifist-fleeing (See benefit n°4 for explanation), while having a random aggressive nature, although with a low probability. Commands to add: None. Items to add: None. How would your suggestion improve the server? This would give multiple benefits for the RP: Sharks as NPCs will remove the unrealistic blip updating the sharks position in real time while underwater. The shark's behavior can be tweaked to get them a bit more passive like they would be IRL, they're not absolutely cruel creatures. With some mods later on, we could add more sharks variety and maybe even witness the start of a new Marine Wildlife world, opening paths to a brand new Maritime RP world. Currently, the LS County Lifeguards have tactics to scare sharks away or protect scenes, which are great for RP but useless and unrealistic since the clientside shark doesn't care about the others when it attacks you. Those tactics consist of scaring the shark away with the help of jetskis, driving towards the animal at high speed and splitting in a Y manner to avoid it while scaring it away. Synced sharks could react to that in a fleeing behavior, allowing for the actual use of those tactics, and better scene security for maritime interventions. This would force the people RPing in the sea to actually be cautious and not just go like "fine if I see one on my radar I'll know", or going in spots where they know that script isn't in place. This could bring some random events to give agencies and bystanders some RP, e.g. a beached shark, or a shark too close to the shore, forcing a no swimming policy and all, whichis currently only made in RP and obviously not followed by everyone. An attack with no instadeath can provide more medical RP in case of an attack, since being attacked by a shark IRL can be pretty nasty, but isn't a 100%chance of instadeath everytime like in game currently. This could give some boost to the pawn shop economy, people will try and buy different types of knives and blades to defend themselves if diving. ( Harpoon mod some day? ) Additional information: Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

  12. St. Gabriel Foundation organizes a fundraiser for the animals in Los Santos; Democratic Senators Rudy Benson and Narek Terzian on the special guest speakers list BY DENNIS SIDWELL Los Santos, SA - On the 13th of June, 2021, at 6 pm, Seraphina Ronen, who is a part of the Board of Directors in The St. Gabriel Foundation, will organize a local fundraiser in order to help the animals in Los Santos. The fundraiser will be hosted in Gusset Restaurant, Rockford Hills. Ms. Ronen has been an animal advocate for many years, insisting on better animal shelters. After she obtained a masters degree in business management, graduating from ULSA, she invested a certain amount of money in Gusset Restaurant. Considering that she's an animal advocate who loves animals, she got inspired to reach out to Animal Ark and organize yet another non-profitable fundraiser. All the donations will go to Animal Ark Veterinary Clinic. Democratic Senator and Chairman Rudy Benson and Democratic Senator Narek Terzian are on the special guest speakers list for the fundraiser. The St. Gabriel Foundation got inspired for such a noble cause because of their love for animals. There aren't many charity events about animals in Los Santos. The next charity event under their organization will be about homeless children, a representative from The St. Gabriel Foundation told the LSNN. As an international, humanitarian, non-governmental organization, the St. Gabriel's Foundation also advocates for human rights, social justice, self-determination and civil society in the halls of the international arena through its various world-wide networks of platforms. Establishing and supporting schools and summer camps, providing post-secondary education scholarships and volunteer awards, promoting activities that support women’s empowerment and inter-generational relationships, providing relief and moral support to the needy as well as the elderly within our communities and organizing educational events tailored to the needs of the communities they serve are just some of their goals. "It's important to us to aid in the social, educational, health and welfare efforts of all the people, to establish and finance health, food distribution and social service centers to serve all communities, to give financial aid to deserving undergraduate and graduate college and university students and to encourage and advocate human rights and social change in civil society around the world as a non-governmental organization", a representative from The St. Gabriel Foundation told the LSNN. > Comments are enabled Username: Comment:
