  4. A new chapter for the Lucchese's Las Vegas Outfit establishing in Los Santos? Simon Johnson // April 30th, 2021 Picture taken in April, 2021, Los Santos Recent supposedly organized "mob activities" in Paleto Bay and Las Lagunas, Los Santos, worry the residents. Allegedly former mob-captain for the Lucchese crime family’s Las Vegas outfit John "Johnny Lips" Bellanti has been found dead in an alley, around Palomino Avenue, Los Santos. It is believed that this was over an inside dispute within the Lucchese crime family’s Las Vegas crew. "Johnny Lips" Bellanti's former crew of mobbed-up associates has now been seen rolling with a new face in Paleto Bay and around the allegedly mob hotspot "Lucky Buddha" in Little Seoul, LS, the public claims. Who this unrecognized individual is, is still unknown, but it is claimed to be a Las Vegas soldier within the reputed Lucchese crime family’s Las Vegas faction, Harvey "Rocky" Scavone. Is Paleto Bay and Las Lagunas threatened by organized crime? And is the Lucchese's Las Vegas Outfit now establishing in Los Santos and Blaine County? Time will tell, says Steven Johnson, CNN. Supposedly Lucchese mob, Las Vegas Outfit mob-soldier Harvey Scavone (Left) with mob associate Salvatore Giugliano (Middle) seen with mob associate Anthony Fiumara (Right) (Supposedly Lucchese crime family mob soldier for the Las Vegas Outfit, Harvey "Rocky" Scavone) Lucchese crime family member of their Las Vegas faction Harvey "Rocky" Scavone has been released from prison. He says he is a changed man from his mobster days and wants to become a business manager. In March 2009, Lucchese bosses ordered Scavone to kill Sophie Acalli, a mother of two from Staten Island, New York. The only reason they wanted her dead was that she was the wife of Joe "Biggie Joey" Acalli, also a member of the Lucchese crime family who turned into a government witness aka a dirty rat. Vittorio Amuso, Lucchese family boss at the time, found out that "Biggie Joey" Acalli was going to testify against him at an upcoming trial. The attempted murder broke the mafia code regarding not targeting mobster’s innocent family members. Scavone took his time to plan the hit by stalking Sophie Acalli for weeks beforehand. On March 13, 2009, a masked hitman, in a car driven by Scavone shot Sophie Acalli three times while she was sat in her newly purchased family SUV outside her house. She had just returned from dropping her kids off at school. Despite being hit in the neck, behind the ear, and in the back, Ms Acalli was able to run into her house and call for help. She survived the hit and three years later, in 2012, she testified against Scavone who was already serving time for other crimes such as armed robbery and money laundering through casinos in Las Vegas. A picture outside Sophie Acalli's residence in Staten Island after the claimed "hit-attempt" // March 2009 But according to Scavone's lawyers, this made man has been forced to take a hard look at himself over the past 4 years in the slammer, and he no longer wants any part of the mobster life, he /claims/. In the application for release filed by Scavone’s lawyer, Anna Goldberg, she wrote "Today, he is "embarrassed and ashamed" of who he was. He is full of remorse. Back then he was part of a culture of violence. Today, he is a calm and has positive influence on those around him. He works daily to repent for his actions and tries to help other incarcerated people find peace. He dreams of building a peaceful life as an old man, and trying to help people with the years he has left by teaching economy and spending time with his family" The feds strongly opposed his early release. In papers filed with the court, they said “Scavone agreed to murder an innocent civilian for his own selfish gain and advancement within the Lucchese crime family. He did so with the clear intent of intimidating one government witness from testifying against the mob and sending a message to other would-be cooperators: cooperators and their families will never be safe,” Even so, a judge ordered Scavone released in 2016 on $250,000 bail pending a resentencing of the case. He was released into his sister’s custody and is under home confinement. He is explicitly barred from seeing or communicating with anyone involved in organized crime. In 2016-2020 Harvey "Rocky" Scavone has been seen hanging out with his old crew of mob associates all around Las Vegas. He's claimed to be "back-in-business" with his old crew. All though, there's lack of evidence regarding if he's still in his old criminal path, or not. In 2021 it is claimed that Scavone moves with his Lucchese Las Vegas crew to Los Santos, ordered by Lucchese bosses to expand their operation throughout Los Santos and Blaine County for a fresh start. OOC: We’re portraying a sub-crew of the real life Lucchese crime family from New York. The sub-crew we’re portraying is the Lucchese Crime Family’s own Las Vegas crew/outfit. We aim to portray and develop a realistic and modernized LCN faction, a small-time crew including a made man and several associates within the Lucchese Crime family’s own Las Vegas outfit, slowly splitting with the Las Vegas & New York Connections, becoming a crew of our own, independent from anyone else. Bare with us, since the first pages are all about our faction-development. All new characters in this faction must start off as young-aged, try to not approach us with only TV-based knowledge of LCN roleplay (nor act like it’s the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s or the 90’s. It’s 2021). On the other hand, we’re very friendly towards newcomers to this specific genre of RP, and we will be happy to teach you and let you take your time to learn during your time with us. The RP quality might be lower from time to time because of such members, but being helpful pays off in the end. 5. San Andreas Park Rangers Press Release #03 Ranger Involved Shooting On 19/APR/2021 around the hours of 00:22, Senior Ranger Bob Foisey and Cadet Dustin Seifer with the San Andreas Park Rangers, were involved in a Ranger Involved Shooting (RIS), on Calafia Road just outside Stab City. Senior Ranger Foisey and Cadet Seifer were conducting a Field Training Patrol, and when patrolling down Joshua Road, passing Stab City towards Route Sixty-Eight, heard gunfire in the area. Due to the area not being directly within the Hunting Grounds, the duo decided to investigate into it further. Upon driving down a dirt path, that is directly below Route Sixty-Eight, near Mount Vinewood Drive, specifically under a bridge - the duo found a Black Buffalo in the area where the shooting occurred and attempted to make a traffic stop. Upon attempting to make a traffic stop, the Black Buffalo sped off, in which a vehicle pursuit was commenced. Around two minutes later into the vehicle pursuit, on Calafia Road just outside of Stab City, the Black Buffalo hit into a rock and span out. Cadet Dustin Seifer, exited his patrol vehicle and began giving orders to the occupants of the Black Buffalo. In which around thirty seconds later, the front right passenger of the Buffalo, exits and presents a firearm, aiming towards Cadet Seifer - and discharging a firearm towards Cadet Seifer and Senior Ranger Foisey. Cadet Siefer immediately began to return fire, as well, at this time, Senior Ranger Foisey exited the patrol vehicle and returned fire as well. Cadet Seifer discharged two magazines, a total of twenty-four rounds, in which Senior Ranger Foisey discharged ten rounds, not completing a full magazine. The passenger of the Black Buffalo entered the vehicle again, in which the Black Buffalo took off up Calafia Road towards the Mountains, and were not seen again. The Los Santos Sheriffs Department were called in a request for mutual aid when the initial RIS occured, and to assist in shutting down Calafia Road for the Internal Affairs Investigation. At around 00:30 hours, the Internal Affairs Section of the San Andreas Park Rangers arrived to the scene of the Ranger Involved Shooting and was able to determine that the suspect who engaged in a firefight with the Rangers, was at least struck one time, due to an excess amount of fresh blood presented where the passenger was standing during the shooting. Upon investigation of the Internal Affairs Investigators, nine-millimeter casings were found on scene of the Ranger Involved Shooting and multiple bullets were able to be retrieved from those that impacted the cruiser. Senior Ranger Foisey, when instructed to return to the Paleto District Headquarters, passed by the original path where the Black Buffalo was spotted in the initial pursuit - Foisey was able to identify a body on scene, in which the Los Santos Police Department's, Investigative and Forensics Teams were called in mutual aid, to investigate the homicide. Upon conclusion from the Internal Affairs Section of the San Andreas Park Rangers, Investigators deemed the use of lethal force from both Cadet Dustin Seifer and Senior Ranger Bob Foisey justified. As per protocol, the conclusion was forwarded to the Los Santos County District Attorney's Office, specifically to the Major Prosecutions Bureau, in which they as well, concluded that both Cadet Seifer and Senior Ranger Foisey were justified in their use of lethal force. These type of press releases overall, are to give the general public a point of view, of the daily risks Law Enforcements Officers, take when on routine patrol. When either protecting State Parks, the local Cities, or Counties, all Law Enforcement risk the everyday danger when placing on the uniform. These press releases are a part of the Community Trust Program that the San Andreas Park Rangers are attempting to create and initiate, to show accountability and transparency through the State of San Andreas. The following dashcam attached to this release, is a short clip of the pursuit that led into a Ranger Involved Shooting. Please note, the video you may see, is violent, graphic, and may be disturbing to some viewers, especially those that are sensitive to harsh images, strong language, loud noises and graphic imagery. **Dashcam attached** ((As a general note, the video would be from the dash perspective, not the faction member involved, as bodycams are not permitted in the server.))

  7. The Varrio Harpys gang (HPS) also known as Harpys 13 or Varrio Harpys, is a predominantly Hispanic street gang that originated in the area of Grove street in the Western of South Central Los Santos by the 1960s. This group of teenagers have been known to terrorize the city throughout the years until recently back in 2017 that the group has suffered from the first ever gang injuction at South Central. History of the Harpys gang The Varrio Harpys gang (HPS) also known as Harpys 13 or Varrio Harpys, is a long-standing Hispanic street gang that originated in the area of Grove street in the Western of South Central Los Santos by the 1960s. The heart of their neighborhood stretched from Chamberlain’s gas station to the dead end of Grove Street. The roots of the Harpys can be traced back into the early 1960s when a group of teenage immigrants decided to make a name for themselves among the surrounding gangs in the area of Los Santos. The gang took their name from the Harpy Eagle, which is the largest and most powerful raptor found in America to symbolize power. They frequently were seen wearing baseball team Houston Astro's merchandise as the team's logo is a large H. The Harpys unwillingly shared their turf with two other small gangs who were believed to be nothing but two local football clubs under the names of The Dead End and the Wild Bunch at the time. As years passed by the Harpys became more centralized and the gang increased in size, gaining its reputation for violence. During this time the feuds between the two football teams and other football teams in the area were escalating, eventually ending with the rivalries leaving the field. Fights escalated between the two groups starting from low risk brawls, and quickly evolved into stabbings and eventually shootings. The public was quick to realize that the groups were no longer just football clubs and gang units marked both clubs down as their own gangs, noting their rivalries. Resulting for both of the small gangs to emerge into a single, unified Harpys gang in order to strengthen themselves and beef up their numbers. They consisted of multiple cliques such as the 25th Street Tiny Locos (TLS), 27th Street Chicos Malos (CM), 28th Street Dukes (DKS), 39th Street Tokers, and 5th Avenue Midgets (MGS) On September 6, 1980, three members of 18th Street were shot to death by members of the Harpys, giving birth to a long term war between the two sets. The constant warring consisted of a number of shootings, most of which ended in a death. The beef still stands to this day as a peace hasn't been reached between the two sets. 13 Ruben, known as “Doc”, was the leader of Harpys, a Latino street gang in South Central Los Santos. On May 16, 1988, three years after entering the state prison system he rose through the ranks of the prison system to become a dreaded member of the Mexican Mafia. Roman had been a state prisoner since 1985, when he began serving a sentence of life without the possibility of parole for first-degree murder. As a member of the syndicate, authorities said in court documents, Roman was authorized to collect narcotics and extortion proceeds from not just his own gang but a panoply of others in South Los Santos: 38th Street, 36th Street, Primera Flats, Playboys and East Side Trece, among others. By 2012 Doc still managed to maintain his grip on the gang from inside prison, Roman controlled a territory in South Los Santos bordered by Popular Street to the east, Davis Avenue to the west, Adam’s Apple Boulevard to the north and La Puerta Freeway to the south, but on 2017 the feds hit them hard as part of the two-and-a-half year “Operation Roman Empire” investigation, feds say they seized 8-and-a-half pounds of meth, a half pound of heroin, a pound of cocaine, 23 pounds of marijuana and 24 guns. Charging 18 Harpys members and associates, including Ruben’s daughter, Catalina, with racketeering, drug trafficking and various violent crimes. On June 11 2020, Ruben “Doc” Santos, a Mexican Mafia member who controlled swaths of South Los Santos from various prison cells throughout San Andreas, was stabbed to death Wednesday at a substance abuse treatment facility in TTCF, the state prison system said Thursday. History of the Grove Street Harpys Grove street has witnessed the rise of various street gangs. One of the most recent gangs to operate in the area and call Grove street their home was the Ghetto Boyz, previously known as Ghetto Boyz 13 before their feud with the Mexican Mafia. The Ghetto Boyz succeeded in keeping a tight grip on Grove neighborhood, turning into one of the most notorious gangs in the city of Los Santos. The good days were quickly cut short. There are various stories about what happened and why the beef between the Ghetto Boyz and the Mexican Mafia started but throughout all the stories only one thing is consistent, the ending. Some stories say the beef was ignited after a Camarada; An associate of the Mexican Mafia, was shot in Chamberlain during an attack which was carried on by members of the Ghetto Boyz on Tortilla Flats 13 gang. The shooting of the Camarada was said to have led into the fracture between the Ghetto Boyz and the Mexican Mafia. An Associate of the Mexican Mafia was killed under mysterious circumstances on March 6, the Camarada's body was found shot to death in a dumpster somewhere outside Los Santos' county lines and the Ghetto Boyz to blame. The Mexican Mafia was bound to retaliate with Grove Street Harpys participating. This has led to a series of attacks carried on by multiple sets in the city against the Ghetto Boyz. As the "Boyz" were getting murdered around every corner of South Central, houses were turned into ashes. Eventually bringing Ghetto Boyz out of power. On April 6 2017, Dead End Harpys XIII was dragged along with the first ever gang injunction request after the “Operation Roman Empire” succeeded with the downfall of it’s previous leader Catalina “Temper” Santos, and ended up in the arrest of most Harpys gang members. Few members left or tried to take control of the leadership after the former shotcaller Adam “Stoner” Venegas got booked for his involvement during the Arsoning and Capital murders of Ghetto Boyz 13. While in the spree of arrests, the gang now also dealt with their own members infighting for control of the set. The turnout created an unwanted presence between the younger barrio kids, who chose to avoid joining the gang. Eventually leading to their drop of recruitments and ultimately left Grove Street taken over by any current gangs in the area. Today’s Harpys Survivors or otherwise newer generation members of the Harpys 13 gang have adapted themselves into the Roy Lowenstein / Avenues district of Los Santos. A dangerous gang-area known to occupy with gangs such as; Dark Side Neighborhood Bloods, S/S Avenidas, and King Kobras 13 in the general location. For these young gangsters the gang lifestyle is their way to put food on the plate for their families and for their personal needs. This new generation of Harpys soon adopted the ways of the old generation, taking advantage of the already increasing crime rate in the city of Los Santos to bring back the gang together and make a name for themselves under the clique of Dead End Avenue currently led by Miguel “Dreamer” Gomez. The gang’s main revenue was from the street level distribution of narcotics such as Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin and Methamphetamine. In no time, the new generation found their way back to distribute them narcotics using their felonious talents, while petty crimes like tagging walls and slanging drugs make up the majority of the gang’s criminal activity. The varrio Harpys is no stranger to much more serious crimes such as grand theft auto, burglary, armed robbery, small scale business racketeering / extortion, and even murder.

  10. Short description: Update the legal firearms script to allow firearms to be sold back to gun stores, and increase the monthly ammunition count. Detailed description: Put simply, with the new guns being introduced to the server as well as hunting being a thing, the legal firearms culture is really starting to kick off in-game. The current ammo and firearm monthly purchase limits are a bit rough for those wishing to try out these new guns, so I propose that a legally owned firearm could be sold on more easily than it can at present. Right now, the only way to do so is via private transfer via a PD application - and advertisements for the sale of firearms are not permitted. In reality, the used firearms trade in the US is a pretty big one, with multiple sites and companies catering to the sale and transfer of used guns. My suggestion for this is to add one or both of these features: Allow firearms to be sold back to a gun store at a decreased price. This could either be a 50% value to the script, or a player-controlled interaction allowing the store to keep a stock of used firearms on sale for a lower price than new ones. This is something that is quite common IRL, and as long as PD's DFL folks can manage the additional transfer paperwork, I'd see no problems with it. Hell, a separate system could be established to allow registered gun stores to bypass the transfer system, or use a UCP-based log for the transfer. Once the firearm is sold or transferred, I propose that the available weapons counter increases once more. Again, pertaining to the availability of a greater variety of firearms on the server - 2 per month is pretty rough when we have hunting rifles, many pistols, shotguns... I don't propose a stockpile be able to be amassed; though, looking at some statistics for US gun owners... 😄 Rather, just having the freedom to switch things up now and again without needing to wait a month. Increase the available ammunition per month. No, you probably shouldn't be going through 200 rounds per month on hunting and defence - even with the ridiculously strong and aggressive coyotes! But with SA having large, open areas of desert and the like, private property and licensed practice shooting could easily be a thing - just as it is IRL. Right now we're forced to go to a range with the airsoft script to RP any form of practice, which from an in-character standpoint, is something all gun owners should be doing. Having greater freedom to go plinking cans/bottles in the desert would be really nice, especially for those of us RPing out in the county areas! Commands to add: /sellfirearm, perhaps /sellfirearmplayer. Items to add: None. How would your suggestion improve the server? legal firearm ownership RP is getting a big boost with variety of weapons and shooting activities; this'd improve the availability, variety and freedom of this RP for all licensed gun owners. Additional information: None.

  11. Fighting fire with fire should be the last exhausted option. If factions aren't willing to take interactions seriously then I believe you shouldn't give them what they want, which is a PK war. Murder isn't the only way to dispose of a troll/subpar roleplayer. I'm not suggesting every faction has the same understanding of what is right and wrong, I'm stating that faction leaders of the gang community should come together and bring as much balance to that as they can; even then it won't have everyone on the same page but at least there'd be more understanding between faction leaders and that can slowly make its way through the ranks to future faction leaders and help gang roleplay as a whole. PK wars are piss-poor development in my opinion, if you're actively taking part in a war that has little to no substance behind it, that development ultimately means nothing (even if it adds a lot to your character). This isn't an attack on you or anyone in particular, that's just my view on it. I'm aware that people shelter inside during war-time, but my point is that the level of fear you're suggesting to RP is vastly exacerbated by people riding the cooldown to come back and attack constantly. Back and forth shootings between two gangs shouldn't occur daily, that's just fast-tracking the end of a war. Players shouldn't be aiming to end the war, they should be aiming to prolong it for roleplay purposes. Characters however do aim to end the war but the player OOC should do their best to roleplay that in a way that is desirable from all angles. Like I said in an earlier post, I think we should suspend realism on that front if people do infact ride out daily to catch bodies every day IRL. Riding out to catch bodies is vastly different to riding out to catch bodies AFTER claiming lives the day before.

  12. Not the case all of the time lol. Some gangs like the Neighborhood Crips, Hoovers and Inglewood Bloods will have even more love for you if you don't let your homie lose 1v1 to the enemy. I don't know where some of you guys get this "gangster's honor" system from, but in today's climate it's not as profound as it once was in the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 00s. The streets are shiesty and unpredictable, that's what gang roleplay is basically, getting into shiesty and unpredictable situations and dealing being able to roleplay out the consequences. This is relevant to my last paragraph as far as "gangster's honor" goes. Today is a different climate, look at the King Von situation in November. Certain gangsters are raised to the code while some are "renegades" and follow their own codes. It's all about what that certain group holds value in when it comes to gangster activity. Like for example, the Inglewood Family Gangster Bloods promote head ups (1v1 fights) with other Bloods sets they've no tension with, however, if you are from IFGB and are fighting an NHC member and you start losing, your homies are REQUIRED to jump in. I'm not saying this is how every other Blood gang outside of IFGB operates, but different hoods have different codes & standards to live up to. Believe me, I understand the sentiment of your grievances about block wiping because I am 100% a gang roleplayer. But in my honest opinion, if you do not want to be block wiped, avoid grouping up in large crowds of gangsters when you know it's time to "play ball" with your rivals. I know it sounds deathmatchy, but hear me out. Gang roleplay is designed to bring you all of the obstacles, trials and tribulations of portraying a gang member or living in a gang controlled environment. It isn't uncommon for large crowds to get shot up in real life especially during a war. However, it is very rare that you'll get four dudes jumping out literally hawking down 6 out of 6 individuals and killing them all individually. I believe groups can be shot up, but the unrealistic hawk down system attached to large group shootings should be outlawed. One shouldn't be able to PK 10 out of 10 gang members in one go round if they're not able to from the initial shooting scene. I mean, maybe you'd catch a straggler or two on your way out of the neighborhood, but literally trying to hawk down your opponents to their place of escape is a time consuming thing and can lead to your character being arrested. I, as a gang roleplayer can say that if you truly want to survive in a gang beef then you'd have to realistically think and act like a gang member, make decisions based on your character's state of mind and determine what he or she may do when gang vs gang beefs set off. Some gang members run & hide from beef with other gangs while some do not. And this brings me to another point about the current state of gang roleplay. Not every single gang member is going to fight, shoot or go to jail. Which brings me to my point of saying this, if you are in a gang faction right now and 10 out of 10 characters in your gang faction have slid and killed someone then there is a problem. The deathmatch mentality is a recycled and misunderstood mentality in the gang community, it doesn't take for a person to kill someone to get initiated into a gang and it doesn't take for one situation to lead into an all out blockwipe. And just because someone attempted a block wipe doesn't mean that it should be outlawed totally, just move wiser with your decisions as a gang character.

  13. THE BEJKO ORGANIZATION The streets of Tirana and the roots of Albanian-American organized crime In Tirana, Pjeter Marku lived with his mother, grandmother and her young adult son in a part of town called Selvia, and rented a car that I drove on highways that are pitch-black at night and have no speed limits. He went through cities where the traffic lights are suggestions, weaving through the chaos of donkey carts, overloaded motorcycles and pedestrians crossing everywhere. There were no sidewalks. The crumbling walls of many of the buildings were covered by gang tags: graffiti that said fuck this and fuck that, a picture of a smoking spliff on one wall, the phrase "criminal boys" tagged, in English, on the wall of a prison. The streets that had businesses on them were lined with coffee shops, casinos, and one pharmacy after another that sold drugs like Xanax and Ambien over the counter. In a bleak, run-down cement apartment building, "Toni Montana" was graffitied on a hallway wall outside. I went there to visit a divorced mother who was fighting cancer, who lives with her mother and her young adult son who has to hustle to pay under the table for medical treatment. Pjeter was only 12 years old when he was tasked with the daunting responsibility of being a nurse to his terminally ill mom. She was in her last stages of nasopharyngeal cancer, and because we couldn’t afford hospital care and treatments, she opted to live out her final months in her childhood home in the province. More than a decade after his mother died of cancer, her death still haunts me. It was no doubt a painful time, but it was also filled with so many profound moments. His mother, even in her all too fragile state, was indirectly teaching me valuable life lessons, which later on became my weapon and armor to survive adulthood. Pjeter arrived to New York City 8 years after his mothers death on a blistering hot day in June. Twenty-three, ten bags and one roller coaster of a journey ahead of him. He relived nights out at the same clubs, bars, pubs, and restaurants week after week and desperately needed a change. He persevered and made a friendship circle who had now became his rock in the city. The circle hanging around Pjeter started to become a small-time criminal crew in New York which actively hung around clubs, bar pubs and restaurants and collected the filthy jobs from the Italians mobsters. The members of the Marku crew in New York loved Scarface, Donnie Brasco, Goodfellas, John Gotti and the Iceman. One nicknamed himself "Tony Montana." They hustled hard and all-in, with seemingly no regard for consequences, taking equally reckless approaches to their dealings with other dangerous gangsters and the police. For them, it wasn't about business—they seemed committed to the life, at all costs. They practiced shooting at gun ranges, and then shot off their weapons in a coffee shop and, another time, from a car going down the highway in celebration after a drug deal. They bought gun after gun, with accessories—Glocks, silencers, shotguns, 9 mms, semi-automatics, hollow-point bullets, bulletproof vests. They picked up a gun from a fellow restaurant worker for 50 dollars and bought a machine gun from a former soldier. They’d refer to the weapons in code, saying to each other in Albanian, “Make sure you bring that thing (sende) with you.” Multiple figures with violent records seen frequenting Los Santos. Possible resurgence of Albanian Organized Crime? By James Miller. APRIL 10, 2021 11:08 AM PT Once considered as the ‘sixth family’ by the FBI's criminal division of New York, ever after Rudaj’s arrest in 2006, it was safe to assume that Albanian organized crime in NY had been beyond crippled. But as most criminal organizations, when an individual takes the fall, others adapt & emerge to make the most out of whatever remains. Like several other groups, while their hay-days are far beyond over, reports suggest multiple small-time crews continue operating around Astoria & Queens. A striking feature seen among Albanians remains to be the phenomenon of brotherhood, which has continuously faded among other criminals over the past few decades. The most notable example is the involvement of an Albanian-American Police Officer Besnik Llakatura in 2015. FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge Sweeney stated, “Besnik Llakatura took an oath to serve and protect the citizens of New York City as an officer of the NYPD, while simultaneously pledging his allegiance to a violent organized crime group bent on shaking down local Queens business owners within the Albanian community.” Among the list of charged defendants, two notable names were of Pjeter Marku & Tony Bejko, both emigrated to the United States as refugees of war in mid 90s according to reports. Bejko who wasn’t found guilty on any charges has moved to Los Santos ever since, while Pjeter Marku, released in February after a five year sentence has been seen frequenting LS and spotted with Bejko on numerous occasions. Experts believe throughout the course of his stay in Los Santos, Bejko has continued to dabble into the LS underworld. Tried in 2020 for narcotics distribution, Bejko once again was proven not guilty with lack of testimony. With Marku’s unexpected move, the two are suspected to cash in further on what the city has to offer, going back to their old habits.

  14. Short description: Adjust the component pricing for the /createfood script. Detailed description: To the best of our observation, the component cost for food is calculated pretty simply. Component Cost for Item = (Item Value x 0.10) + 5 To those who do not know, one component costs $5. (Item Value x 0.10) means that the script charges half the item's value in components--this is why whoever creating the item pays half the item's value into the business bank, PLUS there will always be a 5-component charge ($25) added on top which the business eats. Item Value Required Components Component Cost Cost as Percent of Value 100 15 75 75.00% 200 25 125 62.50% 300 35 175 58.33% 400 45 225 56.25% 500 55 275 55.00% 1000 105 525 52.50% 5000 505 2525 50.50% Most restaurants on this server sell low-value items (usually $100 or less, but most below $500) The current system seems to suggest that you must sell something at or below its script value. While I've not seen this rule officially anywhere (not to say it doesn't exist in some thread) it's a reasonable assumption. If you make a $100 bowl of soup, your business will be selling it for $100. This makes sense for a lot of products on the server such as jewelry, musical instruments, or other consumer goods--especially since the extra $25 charge becomes a smaller part of the total and a 50% profit per sale is reasonable for consumer goods. Because of the relatively low cost of the food item however, that $100 bowl of soup costs the cook making it $50 and costs the business an extra $25 resulting in an overall profit of $25 for its sale. For food, however, this is a problem. Restaurants are already a relatively unappealing script type, and unless you're selling outrageously expensive food items a restaurant makes almost no profit at all from selling food. In real life, restaurants are usually turning much larger margins on their food--as an example in one restaurant I've worked in a $16 entree only cost the kitchen a little under $3 to prepare (18.75% cost as percent of value). This is a little more crafty on part of the chef than normal; most restaurants strive for about a 25-35% cost as percent of value. Commands to add: Turn the cost calculation for /createfood to be: Component Cost for Item = (Item Value x 0.05) Item Value Required Components Component Cost Cost as Percent of Value 100 5 25 25.00% 200 10 50 25.00% 300 15 75 25.00% 400 20 100 25.00% 500 25 125 25.00% 1000 50 250 25.00% 5000 250 1250 25.00% The person creating this item will pay the full 25% to the business bank. Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server? Restaurants are a good thing for this server, and they deserve to make a little more money. Additional information: None

  15. Short description: Add maintenance requirements to weapons and consequences for not looking after them. Detailed description: I'd like to see more variation in gun fights, to the point where realistically, weapons can jam or fail, especially if not looked after. This would include: Regular taking apart/cleaning of the weapon Replacing degraded parts Add cleaning kits to ammunation (to buy and do yourself) Weapon malfunction (will elaborate below) Effects of aging weapons on their performance Visual changes (dirty/rusty) Say you're buying an illegal firearm. You're going to want to inspect the weapon to make sure you're not buying something faulty. Turns out the seller is ripping you off and the weapon constantly jams. What do you do about that? PD, you pick up your weapon from the quartermaster, but don't care for it. It jams and as a result you or another officer are killed. What's the consequence? You're being robbed and end up in a firefight, but the robber's weapon jams. Do you let them run? To elaborate on the malfunction: Failure to fire - bullet never leaves the barrel, caused by a firing pin malfunction/build up of gunk, trigger mechanism issue or firing pin. Extraction - case sticks in the chamber (build up of gunk in the chamber, or a worn extractor) Ejection - Case leaves the chamber but not the firearm, (worn ejector) Feeding error - Bullet is not correctly loaded into the chamber (worn magazine) Double feeding - (worn magazine) Needless to say, I'm British and am NOT a gun expert. The above is brief research and I've cut out a lot of other causes of such errors, since technique for example, should be roleplayed. Commands to add: With a cleaning kit in the inventory: /Cleangun [ID] I'm sure there's others. Items to add: Various replacement parts. Firing pins, magazines, etc. Perhaps fixing a weapon is locked behind an expert at an ammunation, rather than simply "fixing it at home". Cleaning kits How would your suggestion improve the server? I think it will add a new variation to gun play. Right now, the "majority" of gun fights are who can kill who the quickest. Not "my character has fired a gun once and therefore would probably have poor aim", or "my weapon has never been looked after, but it fires flawlessly". One of these we can fix with a system, the other is up to the roleplayer. Additional information: I'm the opposite of a gun expert, feel free to correct me on things I've added, just a start to a hopefully fruitful discussion.
