  1. Disclaimer: I don't have any problems with mechanic garage being nerfed, in fact I'm fully supporting the idea of mechanic garages being nerfed in terms of money because they make too much money. I'm not making this thread to say otherwise. Hello, so I woke up this morning and saw Nervous posted an announcement for a game changelog and there's something that intrigues me which mechanic garages will now require 2x more components for mods installation. Game changelog thread: https://forum.gta.world/en/topic/95-game-changelog/page/44/?tab=comments#comment-453130 Now that's out of the way, I want to share how mechanic garages made their money. Here's how: Let's say for easy math sake, we'll say a player ordered a $1000 modifications, and we're a garage that charges $250 per crates for truckers, as well as giving our employees 35% cut. Here's how the calculation would go BEFORE the update: Amount paid = $1000 Components Amount = 100 (It's divided by 10 from the price. e.g $20,000 mods = 2000 components, etc.) Components Price = (100 / 50) * $250 = $500 (One crate from truckers consist of 50 components, so for 100 components we'd need two crates.) Employee's Cut = 35% of $1000 = $350 Total for garage owner = $1000 - $500 - $350 = $150 Not a lot of money in this scale, but do the math yourself for an Anti-theft that cost $20,000 then it scales. Anyways, now that we figured out how the math behind mechanic scrip works, now let's test this with double the components amount required. Again let's say for easy math we're gonna have the same conditions being a $1000 modifications, charging $250 per crates, and 35% employees cut. Here's how it would go AFTER the update: Amount paid = $1000 Components Amount = 200 (It used to be 100, but since the update it will be doubled.) Components Price = (200 / 50) * $250 = $1000 Employee's Cut = 35% of $1000 = $350 Total for garage owner = $1000 - $1000 - $350 = -$350 (Yes, they don't get any profit at all from the components, even with 0% employee's cut they're still not getting anything.) Components Amount = 125 (Nervous said he meant price / 8 rather than price / 10) Components Price = (125 / 50) * $250 = $625 Employee's Cut = 35% of $1000 = $350 Total for garage owner = $1000 - $625 - $350 = $25 Once again I don't have any problems with mechanic garages being reduced with how much money they're getting but this is definitely not the right way to do it since there's no way garages owners getting any money from the mods that they're selling. And they can't even make compromises such as lowering the components price to $100 since it's locked at $250 by the script and I would imagine there would be no truckers that are willing to deliver crates for $100 price for sure. If my calculation is wrong, I would love to be corrected and maybe property management could chime in on how it actually is. Refer to Nervous' reply, he did a typo on the changelog and he meant: Price / 8 rather than the usual Price / 10 for the components amount. I posted this thread so that we could have a discussion on what would be a better way to do it, from the math.. it's not looking good. Please share your thoughts. Thank you! Here's proof on the components amount being divided by 10, I ordered a suspension that cost $5000 and it requires 500 components: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flZ0emQ6Unk Here's how it is after the update when I bought a $6000 spoiler it took 750 comps from the business, thus confirming the Price/8: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HVNWnI1q9I

  2. Vespucci - Del Perro | is an area mostly knowns for it's tourism, resorts, and vacations. Because of this, many stores and hotels are located in Vespucci and around Del Perro. The most famous area is the Del Perro Pier & Vespucci Beach, where tourists walking along the beach go to shop for souvenirs, bicycles, and ice cream. When people are tired of walking the beachfront, they sit on the various benches that dot the sidewalk. Vespucci can get very crowded, especially Vespucci beach. Although Vespucci is also known for a heavy skinhead/peckerwood presence along with it's multitude of street gangs such as; W/S Goma 13, W/S Liberty Shoreline Crip,Vespucci 13, W/S Asian Boyz, W/S Wicked West Asian Bloods, Sons of Somoa Crips. W/S Culver City Boys 13 & Del Perro 13 (Formerly) Gang Background | Wicked West Asian Bloods a/k/a (WWAB) or a short alternative name; "Wicked West Asians - Westside Bloods" was originally founded in the early 1990s by a group of southeast Asian teenagers with no gang affiliations involved in the lucrative crack-dealing trade who originally went by "WICKED OUTLAWZ" on Success Ave but after the disappearanceof another street gang, they claimed turf on Melanoma. After a period of time in the mid-'90s they got into conflict with the infamous "Asian Boyz" gang over drug turf, which prompted the group to disassociate themselves from other southeast Asian gangs, by sporting red flags and "blood-related" gang apparel, such as Boston Red Sox & Pirate/Philly, Washing National caps you'd usually find in South Central, they also started claiming "Wicked West Bloods" keeping "Outlawz" as a clique/subset under the gang. due to the beef with multiple Crip sets in Vespucci over gang-colors and sports apparel, new gang affiliation. Both sides lost many members to the conflict, although the conflict started to disrupt due to the CRASH UNITS - Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums. By the mid 2000's the Wicked West Asian Blood gang dropped numbers heavily due to gentrification and increased heat from Law Enforcement. WWAB has a current rivalry against all NHC, 2x, 3x Crip cards, along with ABZ. "OPERATION ROOSTER" | Los Santos, San Andreas — The Los Santos Police Department announced the success of "Operation Rooster," which aimed at disrupting the Wicked West Asian Blood gang. The investigation, which began in 2015, has resulted in multiple warrants, 25 recovered firearms, $230,000 seized, and 12+ people arrested related to various criminal acts. Law enforcement also confiscated roughly one kilo of cocaine, 5,000 pills of ecstasy, and about half a kilo of Marijuana according to the numbers.Multiple affiliates of the gang have been charged, some facing 30 months to life imprisonment, if previous convictions are used against the current suspects in custody. Operation Rooster basically DESTORYED the small-street gang in 2015, although upon release of Nelson "Lazy" Dongon & Joseph "Flashout" Nisay the duo managed to uplift the gang back to a decent amount of members, usually recruiting Southeast Asian teenagers and non-affiliates residing in The Del Perro area. (( OOC INFORMATION - JOINING THE FACTION MISC.)) We aim to portray a group of teenage and young adults of predominantly Southeast Asian - Afro American backgrounds. We have high expectations on character development and encourage new members to fully develop their characters while being in our group. We require that everyone role-playing with our group stays In Character at all times, trolling will not be tolerated under any circumstance. 6. Family Affiliated Irish Mafia The Family Affiliated Irish Mafia (FAIM) is a predominantly Irish-American, but not exclusively, peckerwood gang based in San Andreas, which was formerly used by the Aryan Brotherhood to organize street-level transactions throughout low income white neighborhoods within city boundaries of Los Santos. Although founded in Hawick-Alta, activity related to the gang has been found in Blaine County, Vespucci and Murrieta Heights. During the early days, authories say that members made a small fortune during the 1990s selling methamphetamine and investing in local businesses alongside handling problems outside of federal prison walls for members of the Aryan Brotherhood, which often included murder, drug smuggling, extortion, kidnapping. It started out as a gang banging clique to protect white gang members from black gang members with the goal to sell drugs and make money. Later on membership spread to county jails and state prisons. The gang has the permission of the Aryan Brotherhood (AB) to sport shamrock tattoos. At times FAIM have worked closely with the AB to handle work for them on the street. The founders were John Sanders, Kevin Byrne, Tony Hogan, and Eric Foley. Sanders became the most influential member out of the founders and the de facto leader. Byrne would also have influence and be the leader when Sanders was incarcerated. Members sold drugs in the Hawick-Alta area to make their money. Sander's father was a meth cook who worked with motorcycle clubs. FAIM would use violence in order to get payments and run away rival drug dealers. The gang's main source of bread from 2002 to 2005 was a methamphetamine ring which they operated in the Hawick and Alta areas. The drugs came from Juan Suarez and Eladio Suarez, two Mexican brothers who were connected to the Sinaloa Cartel as well as to Hispanic gangs in Alta. In 2004, Sanders shot and killed Christopher Munson, an Aryan Brotherhood drug dealer. Sanders and Munson were cellmates in prison in 1999. In 2005 the DEA busted the drug ring operation and arrested Sanders, as well as the Suarez brothers. Eladio Suarez became an informant in the case against Simpson and testified against him. Drugs, paraphernalia, cash and a firearm seized during a Family Affiliated Irish Mafia bust (seen above) In 2006 and early 2007, most of the FAIM leadership responsibilities fell to Byrne because Sanders was in federal custody. Sanders and Byrne began to have problems during that period which resulted in Sanders putting out a hit on Byrne in 2007. Michael Iadanza, a member of FAIM, carried out the order by attempting to shoot Byrne outside a bar in Sandy Shores. The hit was botched and it resulted in the accidental death of a bar patron. Byrne was not injured. When Sheriff Deputies showed up, Byrne was arrested on an unrelated warrant. Byrne refused to testify against the gang and Iadanza, instead trying to maintain his status as an active gang member and follow the gang code. During that time he was in jail. in 2009, Byrne agreed to testify, after FAIM members attacked him and tried to kill him while he was in jail. Sanders was convicted of conspiracy and murder charges. He was sentenced to life in prison. Final words heard from Sanders upon his conviction: "You win some, you lose some". In early 2021 the leadership of FAIM was once again shaken, as Weston "Wes" Stigers faced an indictment with suspected AB member Joseph Campbell and Roland O'Kelly. The three inmates allegedly coordinated the murder of a man in Twin Towers Correctional Facility, utilizing the visitation system to carry a message from Stigers to O'Kelly. It is alleged that O'Kelly and Campbell then stabbed the man to death in the chow hall, that Stigers is a member of the Aryan Brotherhood, and ordered the murder for the benefit of said Brotherhood. Around this same period, SADCR reported an increase in the amount of FAIM affiliated inmates in the State Corrections System. The case remains in trial.

  11. When can we meet? ...because I may have quite the surprise for you. I'll meet you there too. You can say hello to my van. The problem, it seems to me, is really that there's too many people making unfounded generalizations about others. It's just tribalism. Simple tribalism. Unfortunately, when those generalizations and assumptions leak into various aspects of the game - like property management - that's where we start to get real problems. 🙄

  14. Ayup lads, this could be a shambles or a great tutorial, let's discover it together. I get asked how to do basic graffiti quite a bit on Faction Discords, so figured why not show you guys. You need to have some sort of basic knowledge in PS for this to work, I'll guide you as much as I can. Example here: (These are obvs basic for the tutorial purposes) Requirements: x1 Photoshop (GIMP/Photopea can work too, but for this tutorial I'm using PS) x1 Screenshot x1 Brain Spraypaint Brushes https://www.brusheezy.com/free/spray (Be aware, some come with effects so you may have to play around for desired result) Reference material can also help, base it on LA Gangs for full effects. Surenos/Hoovers/Crips, etc are all a good point. Alright, so first things first, you can use a multitude of brushes, spraypaint ones for the full effect. But for all tutorial purposes, I'll use the basics so you get an understanding. I'll be using the following brush: You don't need to do any fancy brush effects, just keep it simple. So, you'll want to create a layer, rename it to paint layer to avoid any confusion. (Lock the background later, trust me) On the paint layer, you'll want to draw out your basic idea over the top of the image. I'm using Sureno Art as an inspiration, remember keep it simple, if you want to make large memorials then that's another thing entirely, we'll purely keep it tag-banging and tags only. (Don't be afraid with imperfections, these can add to the tag authenticity) Now obviously, this doesn't fit at all, so you're going to have to edit the layer. CTRL + T is your friend here. (If you have a slanted wall like mine then you'll need to use CTRL when adjusting the tag as this activates perspective mode. A flat tag on a slanted wall will look stupid.) Now, we need to start using the environment, sun positions and opacity to mess around so this looks good. If you're looking for a quick one, "Overlay" "Linear Burn" & "Soft Light" all work really well for this effect. Now remember, paint fades in the baking LA sun, so you're going to want to drop the opacity down some more. There is no specific opacity that works better than others as it depends on the scene lighting, time and so on. For this tutorial I've dropped it down to 67%. It's getting there, but more tweaks are needed, this is where the environment will come into play. As you can see, we have white fences blocking spray locations and the bottom of the wall should be slanted a little bit more. There's two ways you can go about this, especially with fences, the fences themselves would be sprayed, but the colour would be degraded slightly more. So you can get this effect by dropping your Eraser Tool to about 30% and erasing small areas. If executed, you'll get an effect like this (Rushed but its there) OR You can outright just remove them from there as if the tagger themselves took a little bit of time on it like so, And wallah, you're done. Remember you can get real creative with it, you don't always need to use the environment, especially if it's a flat wall and such. Any questions, drop me a message on Discord or here I guess.
