  1. Since the last glasses guide hasn't been updated in 2 years, I decided to make a completely updated guide for current version and 1.1, including all new models, textures, and high res imagery at an angle to assist in profile. If there happen to be any mistakes, please feel free to let me know! I intend to keep this guide completely updated. It's about time you become fashionable, x. FEMALE: MALE: Thanks for taking a look! Hope it helps! xoxoxoxo

  3. Short description: Revert the change that replaced the old #86 hair for female characters and implement it back onto the server. Detailed description: As it stands, the grungy, choppy and ratty long hair for female characters has been removed and replaced with many haircuts that are simply too princess-like, removing the choice from more grungy and punk characters for (in my opinion) lacking reasons. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: Explained further under Additional Information. How would your suggestion improve the server?: A hairstyle that people are actually going to use. Additional information: Female #86 Hairstyle So, when I had inquired about the particular hairstyle's removal (pictured above), I was told how the quality (of the model, I assume!) and the size (of the file, I assume!) was a concern. Which I'd be okay with if there was something remotely similar to this hairstyle. Shown below are hairstyles that I believe will be seldomly used, and some are generally scuff central with polygons sticking out and all over the place. Below provided are hairstyles that just are weird looking or scuffed in one way or the other. I believe they'll be mostly unused because some look flat out radioactive with how much they glow on blondes. Some are very patchy with texturework and just look strange. (Examples: 85,87,165,173). Some just look (in my opinion) atrocious!. (Examples: 85,86,93,94,155) Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

  5. One of my earliest experiences on this server of seeing the government at play was a merry roleplay at Rob's Liquors in Vespucci. While my character was hanging out there, a government official (intentionally roleplayed as a slimy, unpleasant man) showed up and proceeded to shut down the business and levy a bunch of fines on the business owner for operating. While it created some roleplay, it also stirred up a bit of a derailing storm. I saw that government official show up to other businesses while they're open to similarly tussle with them over legal pedantry, almost always ending in the business being shut down. I understand what Smilesville is saying, and I'm open-minded to other solutions. Here's what I see as a problem: Currently, businesses are operated in wildly inconsistent ways across the server. Many businesses brazenly break the law on a regular basis, partially because their owners don't know the law OOCly, but also partially because many of these businesses are run by literal gangsters and rogues. To me, this is highly unrealistic and immersion breaking in a heavy RP server. Businesses feel so abstracted at this point that they're almost comical on an IC level, there's no intentionality in the vast majority of businesses on this server. it's all slapdash, low effort, cookie cutter, and tacked on in easily 60+% of the businesses we have on this server. Frankly, if a business licensing system weeds out half the bars and night clubs on this server because their owners are too OOCly lazy to go through a 30-minute licensing process for their business to handle liquor, GTA:W would not come out as a loser; the community would win as a result of this. We have so many garbage generic businesses on this server which are doing nothing but diluting the market and taking away the spotlight from the businesses run by passionate roleplayers who give a shit. I'd rather have 5 awesome, distinct, flavorful, well-staffed night clubs which open on a regular basis rather than 20 shitty, generic, copy/paste, unoriginal clubs which are all clawing at each other's throats opening at the same time with fly-by-night staffing usually recruited last minute over "/ad Looking for bartender right now!!!!" Smilesville raises some excellent concerns, issues which the current Department of Finance should be taking note on. I also agree, despite arguing for more regulation and more control, that we should carefully toe the line against being OOCly frustrating. But Smilesville, I will also posit: This is a heavy RP server. A business is not a car. We're not saying you need to go and fill out an hour of paperwork and stand in a line in the DMV for 3 hours to drive your car. We're talking about businesses, of which there are a relatively limited supply, and which require a lot of OOC dedication to succeed. I am 100% with you that it sucks when someone crashes through the wall of your business and decides to just rape your entire roleplay and waste your time and effort (see: extortion). But I'm not sure I fully side with where your argument is coming from. The people who had their businesses shut down neglected their licensing. This isn't a difficult process. I filled out the registration for both of my businesses and I'd say the entire process took about 10 minutes on my part. Licenses? Probably will take another 20-30 minutes depending on how annoying they make the application. That's fine with me. I spend HOURS running my character's businesses on a weekly basis, literally 20-30 minutes is the amount of time it takes my character to have a roleplay of smoking a cigarette outside with some friends. I agree that the prices are too high, everyone agrees that the prices are too high. We can stop talking about the prices. Those are being lowered. Nervous suggested 10% of what is proposed. Business licensing should be about the roleplay behind the business, not serving as a money sink. We don't want to punish business RPers for RPing, so don't. Look, I can ramble on this a little longer, but let me leave off on this foot: We can either deal with shitty businesses by OOC management or IC management. OOC management is great and all, but it's immersion-breaking because decisions which affect RP (often times RP which has been going for a while) just come out of "nowhere" and you have no way to RP it, it relies heavily on people snitching on one another OOCly (so more room for toxicity), and it keeps admins in the role of playing babysitter with everyone's RP. It's also not a sustainable system. I'd personally rather see more of our server's quality control done ICly when possible. Why? One, it serves as an IC conflicit which does NOT involve guns, shooting, stabbing, robbing, or whatever the fuck, and that's a good thing for this server's RP. Conflict drives roleplay, and legal RP currently has very little conflict because so much of our IC conflicts are taken OOCly before they can even begin with Property Managment, RPQ, and more. Two, it's more fun for the people involved. Unless you're a tyrannical person with low self-esteem, spending your hours on a video game telling people what they can and can't do and arguing about it for days is not fun. Roleplaying it all instead, however, allows for a lot more room for both sides to get entertainment out of it. Three, it creates a more immersive, heavy RP experience, and opens opportunities for more character types. Rather than abstracting businesses even further and saving most of their management to OOC administration, it creates a demand for consultants, attorneys, politicians, advocates, lobbyists, and more. Infancy or not, this is one of the most important developments for this server to step even further away from being a cops, robbers, and clubrats "heavy RP" server. If people are dicks with their RP, you can report them. If it feels like a government official is ICly just going around shitting on people's RP, it's fair to reach out to their admin handlers and be like "this isn't fun." But expecting that's what will happen right off the bat and not allowing this idea to develop is very pessimistic.

  6. Diego and Cesar Garza were born on the 1st of January, 2003. The duo were born and raised in Vespucci, Los Santos. Diego and Cesar are Latino-Americans. Twin’s father is an original Latino and their mother is Latin-American. Diego and Cesar were grown up in a violent family environment, their father and mother never stopped arguing and fighting, their father always beat them violently. Diego has been acting strange and violent since he was born, the little kid used to hurt his brother in numerous ways and his violence would grow day by day. Cesar was the good kid who would run to his parents after Diego has hurt him, which would cause the parents to fight again and Diego get himself beaten up. Their father believed their mother was /Cursed/ and called her that in front of the kids. The twins grew up and entered schools, they had no friends, everyone was afraid of how mischief Diego was and no one talked to Cesar just because he’s Diego’s brother. Cesar managed to do a couple of friendships because of his good nature but his friendships would later be ruined by his brother. Along the years Diego and his parents managed to affect Cesar until Cesar was just like his brother, brothers bonded by violence and mischief. On the 6th grade the twins beat a kid almost to death because the kid ruined a prank they were pulling on another kid. The rest of the kids’ parents were concerned about their kids who would go back home bruised or beaten or “The evil twins” so they were called took their stuff until the school decided to call for the twins’ parents. Why “Demon” nickname? Demons are angels who rebelled against God as mentioned in all the religious books. They are pure spirits who have never been human before. Ghosts are spirits of human beings who have died. Ghosts generally experienced some sort of trauma in their life. On 2014, their parents argued again while they were in the kitchen, their father attacked their mother and started beating her non-stop until the mother grabbed a knife and shoved it right into their father’s neck, their father died right in front of their eyes. The twins were in shock not because of their father's death but because they knew their mother “The only one they love and care about” is in deep trouble now. Judges later concluded the mother to be released as she’s been facing violence and she was protecting herself and her kids. The twins dropped school to work since their father “The source of income” died. The Twins were introduced to the gang life and found themselves the life that suits them which requires nothing but violence to make money. They made their way up quick and have been known for getting shit done. Diego was later on called “Demon” because of his evil nature which was obvious to everyone, Cesar was named “Ghost” because he somehow still had a human in him. The Twins are now ragged members of the Vespucci 13 gang, living with their mother in Magellan Ave. Diego's personal traits. Intelligent Creative Confident Deceiver Distorter Malicious Thuggish Acts as a bully or is a professional and violent criminal Crash Dummy This is a person that you could send off to do anything no matter how dangerous it can turn. 10. Vespucci 13 is one of the largest Sureño gangs on the West Coast. The gang calls Magellan Avenue it’s home. The gang’s presence dates back to the mid 1900’s, but is slowing down in numbers due to rapid gentrification. History: In the late 1940’s Los Santos’ development of freeway 405 forced Mexican American communities to move out west towards Vespucci, Del Perro, and Morningwood. As a result of the waves of lower income immigrants the Vespucci area earned the moniker “Ghetto by the Sea.” The area was known by the locals to be one of the cities largest tourist traps due to it’s easy access to the beach. Above sits Fernando Barela and Raymond Ayala from left to right. In the 1950’s Vespucci had a second wave of mass immigration with the population almost doubling. In this second wave came Fernando Barela and Raymond Ayala. Both were in their early teens when they met at Vespucci Middle School. Immediately the two grew a close bond and began to push marijuana and heroin for Ayala’s older cousin, ‘Magic’. The two were very successful in their trade and made a name for themselves. By the time they had graduated highschool they had younger family members selling for them. In 1964 they had amassed a group of almost thirty teenagers. It was then that the two decided to adopt the moniker Vespucci 13. The name clearly pays homage to both the Mexican Mafia and the area in which they lived. There have been several Vespucci 13 members who have affiliated themselves with the eMe such as Rene Blajos and Emilio Montoya, and the two groups keep a close relationship both in and out of the prison system. In the 1990's Vespucci 13 was one of the targets of a large gang injunction. Three gangs were tagged in the Far West Los Santos Gang Injunctions, and their activity on the streets was very low throughout this period. The gang injunction however did reach it's end and the gangs began to openly gather outside and resume to their ghetto lifestyles. Vespucci today: Vespucci trece is currently being led by Peter “BANDIT” Loyola and Tomas “SPOOKY” Ordonez. The gang has been losing power and numbers as a result of the rapid gentrification of far West Los Santos hoods, however there are quite a few active members spread among the organization's five cliques. The gang is known for its involvement in trafficking drugs for several organizations such as La eMe and Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations (MDTO’s). The key drugs pushed by the neighborhood are marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin. Vespucci 13 is no stranger to robbery. All sorts of robberies seem to go down in Vespucci, whether it be armed, home, or vehicular. Active Beef: CULVER CITY 13: The beef between Vespucci 13 and Culver City 13 is remarked as one of the largest current beefs in all of Los Santos both in measure of time and lives. Culver City Highschool and Venice Highschool were always bitter rivals in terms of sports. In the late 1960’s both neighborhoods claimed the same corner and had local drug dealers post up and deal drugs off of it. The two gangs did not like that the other had their dealers pushing on the corner they claimed as their own. Drug dealers from either gang were getting jumped back and forth until the fights grew larger. To protect the dealers and the claimed ‘turf’, members from both groups would stand on the block and press their rivals. The gangs were quick to involve themselves in massive brawls and fights, however guns were resorted to after only a few months. The homicide rate on the far west side of Los Santos shot up, and has yet to fall back down to where it once was. Each side has lost a lot of members and the beef seems to have no resolution because most current members of either gang have family who've been murdered by the other side. The picture above shows disrespect to the Del Perro 13 gang by crossing out DP13 tattoos and replacing them with Vespucci related calligraphy. 187 SMAKAS refers to penal code number 187 referring to murder, and "Smacks" being the DP13 gang diss. Del Perro 13: The static between Del Perro 13 and Vespucci 13 has been long going ever since the 1950's. The tension between the two groups originated as a school rivalry, however during a lowrider show in 2009 it escalated. Attending this show was a high respected Vespucci 13 member, Daniel Cortez, and a Mexican Mafia tax collector who were discussing politicks in Del Perro when several members of the Del Perro 13 gang recognized Cortez's tattoos. The Del Perro members instantly began pressing Cortez about his affiliations and where he was from before allegedly disrespecting the tax collector during a verbal altercation. During this altercation the tax collector stated his affiliation to the Mexican Mafia, and a Del Perro member disrespected said affiliation which was taken as disrespect to the Mexican Mafia. Del Perro 13 was ultimately greenlit by the Mexican Mafia and for months were the targets of a string of shootings. The best known attack in this web of murder is referred to as the Virginia Park incident. Isaias Lopez and Jose Romo-Soto were shot by Vespucci 13 members, killing Romo-Soto and gravely wounding Lopez. Lopez, on what he thought was his deathbed, attested that an African-American Vespucci 13 member was the driver and shooter involved in this incident. The shooter was eventually caught. Lopez ended up living and was marked as a snitch. This incident further alienated the two gangs and increased the already hostile tensions. The conflict between the two gangs has lived on for over 70 years and is still being acted on in modern times. Thread credits go out to @XIKand @Miggs

  12. Short description: Allow players to highlight multiple players. Detailed description: Having a character in the LSFD, I've come across situations where multiple FD members as well as multiple victims were involved. Needless to say, this was a mess on all sides to get a proper RP done. I've used the /highlight command, but it only works on one person. EMTs usually work in a duo or even with more EMTs involved on one patient, meaning this can be confusing even with the highlight set on said patient. My suggestion would to allow /highlight to be put on multiple people at the same time, allowing for more than one people to be highlighted with the pink "[!]" and the pink colored /me's and /do's. To turn it off, simply use /highlight clear or /highlight off. Commands to add: None, just a modification of the current /highlight to allow more than one person. Items to add: None. How would your suggestion improve the server? This is a basic QoL addition, allowing for less confusion on large scenes and better understanding of what's going on sometimes. Additional information: Sorry if this was suggested already, but "highlight" returned no results in a search.

  14. We deleted that photo as it got reported. People re-uploading is beyond my control. Secondly, I'd like to state that I'm not on the site 24/7 and have other obligations to attend to. Not to mention not all mods are actively staring at the site waiting for something to be reported, we check regularly between a couple of hours and sometimes a couple of days. @Tseard Secondly, > Yeah, so guns being illegal is something that FB staff wanted since it's accepted in-real life. thanks for claryfing. I'm not too fond of the attitude that comes with this, I politely recommended you forum PM me about a suggestion you wish to be put in place, so I wouldn't recommend coming at me with a patronizing tone, it's completely unecessary. Finally, FB mod / admins are looking to improve the site, constructive criticism is fine, I'm all for it, but once you begin to shit talk us and what not it becomes increasingly difficult. So I will finish this off with, if you have a suggestion, please forum PM me so that St3fan and I, including the mods + management can make good changes for the future of the website.

  16. Server would be better off not shafting business owners. This does not help people that run niche businesses that don't rake in cash. Business owners already got to: - Pay for scripts. - Pay for decorating. - Pay for donator. - Put in their time and effort. - Struggle to find reliable help. General conduct licenses are stupid and adding additional costs on top of the mountainous investment isn't doing anything but making businesses less generous/hinder creativity. I already feel discouraged having to donate because of the p2w approach the business ad system has. It is also demotivating finding people to actually work the business if you aren't X type of business. Why? Because they come and go to different stuff, never show up to begin with or have meh rp. Nothing is out of "thin air". Arguing against the bonus is also silly. General licenses are fine so long as they do not cost anything. The goal should be to catalog the businesses and regulate if the law is broken. Not slap money sinks left and right when the script system itself already works that way. Want to fix something administration? How about that I have to pay $15 a month to actually have a chance to compete. My business is really the only reason I play this server anymore. I work a full time job, like to have a life and do my business rp to relax. I already had to shell out hundreds of thousands to get it going, that subscription, put in my time opening which may get me anywhere between zero customers to nearing the max if I open a few times (Unlikely considering I have other shit to do...).... You get the picture, the people providing RP are not the problem. The people who are the problem are the ones that do nothing but drive around in race cars.

  17. So, I'm a trucker irl as well, and I can totally get behind this idea and personally, I would take it even further and add in legal weights and so on so you can overload your vehicle to earn extra profits but if you're caught its gonna hurt your wallet. Anyways, thats a thing for another time. Back on track to this suggestion. So, I won't get into the buying licenses part as I don't care about it but the thing with people getting out of trucks big trucks to unload crates by repeating the same commands all over? Nah, make a timer where they go to said location and the vehicle unloads itself by npcs or w/e, but don't lock the driver to the vehicle, let them walk around and socialize with other drivers around, lock the vehicle from moving for I dunno, 5-10 minutes for the biggest trucks (even longer of we one day get trailers working). Let the small vans keep the crate stuff as realistically, all they deliver are parcels and packages, big rigs would transport pallets and so on. Now, the grinding bit? I mean, leave some elements of it i guess so that not everyone in the city can go buy a pounder immediately. In my opinion, make it so that you icly need "experience" from the lower class license to progress upwards, now I know that's not how it works in real life but it's a compromise I personally believe would be beneficial for the server. But im talking like, 50 or at the very most 100 deliveries to be able to progress. The reason for this being beneficial in my opinion is that irl, you have to complete written exams and practical driving exams, as it would in my opinion be hard to make that a thing in game, the best substitute would be to learn how the bigger vehicle handles as you progress. Thanks my two cents at least.
