  1. Feature Showcase: Ankle Monitors Information Ankle Monitors for people on parole What does this do? This allows the Sheriff's Department to keep track of people who are on parole by placing an ankle monitor on their... ankle (clue's in the name lol). These are sometimes also called electronic tags. Can I tamper with my ankle monitor? Yes, you can but I advise against it since it does inform the Sheriff's Department of your last known location. Can my ankle monitor be removed? Yes, the Sheriff's Department can remove your ankle monitor or you can do it yourself illegally. How is this balanced for illegal roleplayers? Removing your ankle monitor illegally will usually give you a random amount of time before the Sheriff's Department is informed (anything up to 60 seconds). How can I know if someone is wearing an ankle monitor? You can use /examine to know if someone is wearing an ankle monitor since it will show up in their attributes. This way you can silently judge someone who is on parole. Commands /removemyanklemonitor - Remove your ankle monitor illegally which will notify SD within 60 seconds. WARNING: You are required to roleplay removing your ankle monitor. Failure to roleplay this can result in administrative punishment. (LSSD only) /anklemonitor [Player] - Place an ankle monitor on someone. (LSSD only) /removeanklemonitor [Player] - Remove ankle monitor from player (LSSD only) /parolemonitor [Trace/List] - Ability to trace a parolee or provide a list of all online parolee's. Photos

  5. LA county has a population of 10.5 Million people. "I went to LA and I didn't see any Nazis!" is pretty irrelevant when we have factual evidence to prove the existence of skinhead and peckerwood gangs in the LA area. The GTA map is also, as I'm sure your well aware a condensed version of LA. So yeah no shit your going to see them a lot more frequently IG, there's not hundreds of streets and blocks to spread out on sadly. We get it. You personally don't approve of their RP. It's also clear you have absolutely 0 understand of what these factions are trying to portray. The people who RP skinheads and peckerwoods (Including members of staff) do a tremendous amount of research and I personally know don't let cringe ass literal Nazi characters to exist in their factions. You might not realize it though because to you, anyone who has a swastika tattoo must be a literal Nazi. Had you done literally any research you'd know that they're for shock and counter culture purposes and that these groups are literally motivated only by money with 0 political aspirations. The Aryan Brotherhood was created with in the prison system as a form of self-protection for white inmates against black prison gangs eventually morphing into a criminal enterprise. Quoting the Southern Poverty law center: "Today, the gang operates both inside and outside prisons, and although it clearly has a white supremacist ideology, it is above all a criminal enterprise. Given the choice between making money and showing their racism, members virtually always go for the cash, meaning the gang has often worked with Latino and other gangs for profit." I hate to break it to you. There's a difference between what happens in the middle of bum fuck nowhere Indiana and what happens in LA. "Oh I never saw a skinhead in LA but in Indiana we treat them like pariahs that one time so that means it's like that everywhere!". We get it, your personally offended by their RP and therefor it's trash. But that doesn't make you right, that just makes you a crybaby. Edit and addition: Going back and reading your replies plus a few others, I gotta say. What the fuck gives you or any other community member the right to dictate when a certain type of RP is "Too big". You don't like how many mobsters or skinheads are on the server? Frankly, fuck you. Because for the people within those faction they're working tirelessly to provide the server with great content. Yeah, my mob faction has over 50 members. You know what we're doing with those numbers? We're actually trying to create good RP for everyone on the server. We're working to bring RP to the ports, we created a construction company that not only mapped city hall. They spent months RPing the construction of it as well. We've teamed up with the people running the churches in Blaine county to ICly renovate the Rockford church to bring not only religious RP to LS but all of the unique and fun social events that come with a church. The list goes on but I digress. Honestly more then half the shit we probably do has nothing to do with making money and everything to do with "This is a great idea for the server, we have the numbers to pull it off so lets do it." And that goes for a large chunk of the illegal factions on this server. So it really pisses me off when I hear people generalizing that we have too many of this or too many of that. Grow up, nobody on this side throws a tantrum because we have to many 26 year old lesbians on the server? We might say we don't like their RP but we're not nearly as vitriolic towards them as some players are whenever LCN RP or skinhead RP becomes popular. If someone wants to RP an LCN character? Good for them. If someone wants to RP a skinhead? Great! If someone wants to RP a 30 year old lesbian multimillionaire club mogul from the UK? That's their choice. When Sureno RP got huge over the summer, I wasn't sitting here thinking "We have way to many Sureno's this is trash" I was thinking "damn, those dudes are probably really enjoying themselves right now. Good for them." People really need to stop finding the smallest reason to hate a specific type of RP and start looking at the bigger picture.

  6. Let me just say this as someone who's very passionate about trucks and trucking. I hate the current mechanic that forces you to grind your way through shit vans to shit trucks to finally something drivable and something that makes sense to take out for long hauls. I think my suggestion, which was linked above by another member, is a good one and will provide us, players, with a choice - you will either drive in the city and unload to local businesses, or you will take your time going from a supplier to the city or other drop off point in a heavy cargo vehicle. I've spent legit hundreds of hours playing ETS and ATS and when I wanna do trucking I wanna do trucking. The good part about these aforementioned games is that you always get a choice. You can drive an Actros with 40 tons of cargo or you can get into a Scania with 10 tons and go on an easier, more relaxed and shorter drive from let's say Warsaw to Prague. On GTA World you don't have these choices most of the time, therefore trucking can be a very monotone, boring activity that offers no real fun besides rewarding you with GTAW$. Most of us truckers, we like driving. We want to take our time to drive realistically and have more freedom when it comes to what we're hauling. The current mechanic that forces you to grind your way up trucking ranks is responsible for a lot of problems, mainly shitty driving and shitty roleplay that can be observed around suppliers and drop-off spots, because people only want to get to drive that one truck they always wanted to drive. Ain't NOBODY wanna drive a god damn Speedo until they hit 100 deliveries, and they will drive that Speedo to finally get to the Mule. Why? Because the Boxville feels like a chore to drive, so people just cut corners in Speedos going from the clothing supplier to clothing shops to grind as many deliveries as possible until they get the Mule. The problem is not the trucks. Trucks are slow to drive, that is normal. When we apply to work as truckers, we realize that. The problem is how monotone, boring, and how much of a chore driving a slow Mule around the city is when you could be driving long haul in a Benson/Pounder in peace whilst other people drive vans/Boxvilles around the city. Now, instead of making us get out of the truck and unload our stuff, how about we get a simple script that makes you wait inside the truck as employees from the place you're delivering to take care of unloading? That is indeed realistic. Besides, there have been many instances of people robbing truckers at supplier spots because you're forced to get out, roleplay (if people are around) and type in commands to load up. When mentioning the problem in the paragraph above, I was talking about long hauls. If you're a van driver within the city, it makes more sense for you to load and unload your stuff. With bigger trucks it doesn't make sense because usually your crates will be placed inside your Mule/Benson/Pounder/other big rig with the help of forklifts. These forklifts will be driven by dock workers who can be NPC-ed, or you can write up a simple script job for dock workers who will be able to drive forklifts around and load things up for people. See? Talking about this system, and I came up with another job idea. Finally... please understand how this job works. Trucking is about EFFICIENCY. There are reasons as to why in real life we load up long hauling big rigs with forklifts and then let vans haul smaller doses of cargo around the city. It's both for the reasons of the aforementioned efficiency and because if you have smaller vehicles in the city, it makes for less dangerous operation (no need to take wide left turns for example), easy parking (A Mule is like 1/3 the length of a Pounder) and it allows less experienced people to take on the job of delivering goodies, therefore this system IRL is efficient and is the reason why you never see a Scania with a 20m trailer parked outside your local supermarket. You always see small riged trucks or vans delivering to your small local businesses. Do I have to go on? I think everyone understands why currently this whole system is not only inefficient but plain, fucking, stupid.

  7. Greetings Friends, Wow, it has been the most eventful week in our church calendar to date! This week both Pastor Scott and I have met with various members of the community, engaging in social events, and recognising the presence of God in this place. God is MOVING the people of Los Santos, and we stand with him, knowing that he will bless us as we step forward in faith. It is my pleasure that we can announce, as of Sunday, that the Paleto Bay Church will be reopen, continuing our weekly sessions of worship and praise. We invite each and every one of you along to join in with the services and to stand before God. Pastor Scott has worked very hard on returning the church to its once stable position, working with the local Government to ensure that it meets building standards and is safe for us to continue to worship in! We have also been working very hard to open up a connection with the Catholic Church within Los Santos, a local community coming forward to help us reignite the flame of the Holy Spirit within Rockford. We look forward to updating you with more on this in the coming weeks. -- As we begin this peiod of lent, we give up something important, sacrificially in recognising Jesus' own path as he walked into the desert, to be tempted by the devil for 40 days. This was a unique time in his own life, as he was tempted by Satan throughout this period. He fasted, and remained faithful, and part of our journey is being sacirificial, so that he could continue forward in his ministry during his time here on earth. Want to learn more about the period of Lent and why we go through this? I will be focusing my Sermon on this on Sunday Morning! -- This week alone, we have have great engagement with the local community, followed by a service today to celebrate the life of a local member of the community, Doris Malloway. We heard some wonderful stories, from a community very touched by her presence, one of which I believe she will be dearly missed. As always, both Churches and all the Pastoral Team across the churches are available for enquiries regardings Weddings, Funerals and Baptism's. Should there be an occasion in your life that you'd like to mark under the eyes of God, please reach out to each and any of us via Email and we will arrange a time to meet to discuss things further. In the meantime, when available I trust that you all know to reach out to the Pastoral Team via the Phone Number 7729 (PRAY) during the week, and we'll stand with you to support and guide where we can. Next week, I look forward to giving you more information about the ways in which God has continued to bless this community. Yours in Faith, Pastor Greg.

  12. This thread will follow the development of a sixteen years old Trevon Malemo. Trevon Malemo was born and raised in Davis, he was born on 10/17/2004 at Pillbox Hill Medical Center. Trevon is a real scammer and he's the best one to convince you the deal is going alright and suddenly all goes south. Trevon used to tell kids at his school he'll bring them, sweets, for their toys and he ends up taking their stuff and they never get it back, although it sounds fun but Trevon had a bad childhood. He was living with his parents, his father was an alcoholic and a drug addict, and his mother was no better than his father, the couple abused drugs and alcohol together which had a very big effect on Trevon as he grew up. One night, both of his parents were arrested for hitting a guy with their car who died, they were driving while drunk and they possessed illegal substances. They were sentenced to 10 years of jail. Trevon was only 10 when his parents were arrested. Trevon's parents didn't leave much for him and his brother after they got arrested, most of the money was spent on buying drugs and liquor. Trevon was the older brother and he had to take matters into his own hands to ensure both he and his brother are alright and not starving while his parents are jailed. A guy in his neighborhood heard about what happened to his parents so he took him under him. This guy was known for his drug-dealing but Trevon didn't have a lot of choices. He started selling small quantities of drugs now and then, working under the guy from his neighborhood. Trevon had been doing bad in school ever since he started making cash from being on the street and soon considered to drop out of school and focus on keeping himself and his brother safe. This idea came from one of the boys he met in his school called Timoteo who was stacking a lot of ideas in Trevon's head, inspiring him to try out different things with him, from drinking alcohol to smoking weed in their free time. The duo roams around Davis, trying to always earn cash even if it comes with little trouble, and more importantly have fun.

  14. I just stumbled on this thread after seeing someone randomly speaking about it on Discord. Instead of insulting me, next time just drop me a DM, it'll be easier. As for @Marksman, the code was credited so it's not hidden and it must be the first time we use something from RageMP resources since I found it quite cool. It has never crashed us on the test server, but I'll still remove it since it seems some computers handle it differently.

  15. i think it's lame that people were allowed to invest huge amounts of time in writing and roleplaying around this issue, only for it to be vetoed OOC - if the intention was always to veto, let people know before they waste their time. staff interference will drag this scene the way of lsrp's, where you can legislate anything as long as it doesn't actually matter.

  16. I'm unfortunately inclined to agree with certain people who have already posted here previously. Political roleplay is extremely interesting and I was hoping that we would've learned from LSRP and the mistakes they made there. I was super excited to see how things were going to play out on this server that advocates hardcore roleplay. Until an unelected official veto'd a law that would've been super fun to see unfold. Forcing the opposition to actually start caring about politics too instead of ignoring its existence. The OOC interference with these kind of things make it really dull for me and not even fun to follow as an outsider. I've seen staff say it might be a one off thing. But to me personally, it's already one too many. It just sets a really bad precedent and is a huge turn off. I do hope that in the future this'll be rectified and they'll be given the same freedom to roleplay that you'd expect any other player to get within the boundaries of the server rules. I respect the political roleplayers who sticked around despite the veto, that's dedication right there. I hope it'll be worth it in the long run. This community deserves it.

  17. The staff track record on these things isn't exactly superb, though - I've been involved in court cases where staff (all of whom are gone now, admittedly) intervened and caused it to drag on much longer than it had to - all because the PD couldn't get its prosecution together. They had a perfect opportunity to take a step toward realism and drop (or try to get a plea deal out of) the case, but instead delayed the entire thing by a month. Those staff members are gone, like I said, but I do very much get the sense the lack of intervention stems more from "we didn't notice" rather than a desire to leave well enough alone. I wish there were more of a commitment to leaving the system alone and giving it a chance to work.

  18. Plenty of players are using the gold / platinum for other things than the station, or use it for the station and do not wish to host it on our services. We'll not change anything to the current system : gold and platinum are fine as is, you can still create a station ingame exactly like before, we just offer hosting now for these who wishes to. For these who were only using gold or platinum to get a station, then yes you can now just use the hosting as it obviously grants you a station ingame. It's a win win situation in any cases.

  20. Cortes Aryan Skin Heads / PEN1 (https://forum.gta.world/en/topic/37799-public-enemy-number-1/page/31/) produce significantly better roleplay than you do. You're lecturing people on skinhead gangs while at the same time admitting that you don't know the difference between 'peckerwoods', 'skinheads' and 'white supremacists'. It's obvious to anyone even vaguely familiar with the scene that you don't know what you're talking about. If people need help with e-sexing their brains out or building a Second Life penthouse, I'm sure you'll be full of good advice. But on the topic of white crime groups on the West Coast - what are you even offering here but the same dumb, easily refutable opinion over and over?

  21. James, known to his friends as Puppet, was initiated into the Tongan Crip gang when he was 13 years old. For initiation, James was beaten up by his fellow gang members but, he said, afterward, "everybody gives you a hug and welcomes you to the family." "You got to take a beat down by your homies just to show them you're tough," he said. "And either you're in or you're not. That's it." James grew up with his older brother and sister and his mother. He said he "didn't have a father really," and his mother was always working. He chose to join the gang because all of his friends who he went to school with and played sports with in the neighborhood were getting involved. James's mother tried to get him involved with camps instead but, he said, he would always make his way back to his gang. Sometimes, when he was afraid to walk home from a friend's house, his mother would pick him up and bring him home. James's role model is his 31-year-old brother, Liam, who he has looked up to his whole life. After the first time James was shot, he said Liam stopped talking to him because he disapproved of his gang lifestyle. "I was sad because I figured that you should love me no matter what," he said. A few years ago, James called Liam and told him how hurt he was. They have since rekindled their relationship. Today, James lives with his mother and sister but, he said, the gang is as much a part of his family as they are. "I thought about leaving the gang before but I really can't because this is a part of my family, too," he said. "Even though I have a good, loving family at home, this is one of my families that I'm with all the time, too. I spent Christmas with them, Thanksgivings with them. This is my family, too. I'm not going to leave on my family." James will soon have a son of his own. His ex-girlfriend, who now lives away, is pregnant and due on Valentine's Day, so he is saving money so he can be a part of his child's life. If James gets custody, he said it will change his life. If his son chooses to join a gang one day, he said, he will be mad but will love his son no matter what. James aspires to be a paramedic because he enjoys helping people. He also has a love of cooking, especially steak and chicken. One thing that James likes about being in a gang is that it has introduced him to other people in his neighborhood. He also likes the fighting, seeing his friends every day and the rush it brings, which he plans to have for years to come. "I enjoy the risk of being out here. I enjoy seeing all my friends every day. I enjoy drinking with them. I enjoy seeing different girls all the time," he said. "I enjoy making bonds with my friends. The longer you chill, the more stuff you do, the closer you get together. That's something I look forward to. I look forward to it for many more years." Full article.

  23. Speaking from experience with this lockpicking system - I fully roleplay using the tools prior to actually doing the /vbreakin, then following the completion of the minigame I do another line or two of roleplay. Same for the /hotwire, I roleplay first then use the script for the minigame. The minigame idea itself is actually really good, it adds that layer of potential failure as otherwise people could ALWAYS roleplay getting the lock open. Whereas the minigame adds that percentage for someone to actually fail. Granted IRL there are devices you can buy off Wish that clone car keyfobs and you use them to get into a car and drive it away in seconds but its GTA5, its the best of a bad situation.
