  1. Short description: • Toggleable overlay for 2-3 main parameters: age range, height, weight (optional). • Appears in white text above character heads when holding down a specific hotkey. • Allows to quickly check the age range & height of characters around you, to define your approach & reaction to those characters. The main reason behind this suggestion is people roleplaying <18 y.o. characters. However, it can also help a lot when dealing with crowds and trying to quickly ascertain the situation for an appropriate response. Detailed description: One of the things I love the most about GTA V-based RP and GTA World is the ability to show a lot of things about your character without text. Text descriptions are great, but the ability to see someone wearing a black hoody and white pants and go solely on that knowledge is one of the definitive positive perks of roleplaying here. What you see is what you get. Not going to lie, this suggestion came as a result of a few scenes where I encountered people roleplaying teens and wasn't fast enough to do /ex on them. For example, if my character is responding to a 911 call and comes across a group of black characters in Vespucci Canals, it's sort of helpful to know if I'm staring at a group of teens or a group of adults; if that group of teens has an older individual that could likely be the authority figure, and so on. You can see how dealing with groups makes /ex-ing everyone... eh, not as practical. What I'm suggesting is to add an overlay system in a fixed format — no free-floating text, no tons of letters above character heads. Just their age and height in a "## y.o. / ###cm" format. This overlay would be toggleable with a specific button (say, "J" or any other that's unoccupied) — whenever the button is pressed, overlay would come on top of everyone's character. Filling in these parameters would be mandatory, same as /attributes — as a matter of fact, could add an extra field in /attributes for height, next to age. Commands to add: • Action to show overlay (hold to show) would require a hotkey. A command can be used though it'd be less practical • An extra field (height) would need to be added to /attributes, to the right of "Age". Items to add: • None. How would your suggestion improve the server? It would enhance interactions and reduce the number of times people make wrong responses due to unawareness that characters before them are young / old; most importantly helping people approach teenagers with knowledge that they're teens instead of assuming they're adults, first. Additionally, it would be a bit helpful to those roleplayers who pay attention to the details — like height — when interacting with people's characters. Arguably, in a 1-on-1 situation, they're quite able to use /ex, though understanding if a bunch of tall muscular dudes are ganging up on a shorter, smaller individual would be helpful in encounters. Bottom line, it just enhances interactions on the server and complies with GTA World's "ideals" — it's essentially an extension to the current attributes/examine system. Additional information: Talked to a dev here to ask if something like this would be even doable — it technically is. Appreciate your input, guys. Quick edit after my prev comment: "Age range" param should be hidden when the player is masked.

  2. ' Sylvester Rusca, 34. Known as a drug distributor from Redsands Shore in Las Venturas. He was caught in an ambitious attempt by the DEA to wipe the drug distribution rings of Las Venturas sometime around 2005. Sylvester was found guilty of numerous of drug charges and was sentenced to serve 15 years of imprisonment, and was refused the rights to be treated as a minor, having only 19 years of age at the time. Sylvester not knowing better than what he was taught in the environment he came out from, cracked a smile after the judge handed down the sentence and halfway through the time of his imprisonment, Sylvester had expanded his criminal network and got introduced to a variety of drugs and distribution methods with the connections he had made with prison gangs, along the way, he met those like Christopher Fali, and Raymond Malasso. All three had two things in common. They are cowboys from Las Venturas that can root, toot, and shoot. And money is what drove them. It did not take long before Christopher, and Raymond managed to convince Sylvester to work in their ring under Benjamin Sr and Frank Buschetta. Upon his release from prison, even more ambitious than ever, Sylvester re-established his connection with Frank, who is now leading the deprecated remains of "The Buschettas" with the hopes of getting back on the streets to rebuild his distribution ring out in the open.

  5. Short description: Add decal overlays to the clothing store Detailed description: If possible, add the ZONE TORSO decal overlays to the server. They're Rockstar's easy way of making event t-shirts for GTA Online - they don't create a whole new clothing object, they just make the decal and apply it to an existing shirt. Commands to add: Items to add: Decal Overlays How would your suggestion improve the server? There are hundreds of different overlays available. Nightclub DJs, radio stations, video games, clothing companies, stores, etc. People would be able to make more shirts/hoodies/etc for their character to fit their personality and hobbies. The possibilities are almost endless as well, since overlays stick to the clothing by default instead of floating in a set zone like the few emblems we have in the other category. Additional Information: Not sure if this is even possible until 1.1, but if it is I think it'd be a great addition. Worth a shot. Here's a quick album of the stuff I've made with them in Menyoo. https://imgur.com/a/59WGgw0

  6. Short description: Add privatised impound lots as a business type. Detailed description: As it stands, the only impound lot is in the middle of a city. Not only is this very unpractical, it's quite unrealistic as well. In a city as big as Los Santos, you'd see at the very very least, 4-5 impound lots and another 2-3 in the county. And surprise, these aren't run by the government, but rather, contracted. A person looking to establish an impound lot will buy (or lease) a piece of land, on which fencing will likely be installed to prevent people from getting their vehicle back without paying a fee, a booth (bare minimum) for a worker to be stationed at, handling transactions and vehicle returns. After that, they get in contract with the government, and fill up required paperwork, to hopefully get a contract going. Once a contract like that is active, police can now rely on that company to transport and impound the vehicle at their own lot, at no cost. Assuming the person who's vehicle got impounded is present, the officers would then inform the person of which lot their vehicle went off to. (This information should be available on the MDC for LEOs. Person's Profile > Vehicles > Lists off vehicles like usual (If that's still how it works nowadays, left PD a very long time ago, could have changed for all I know) but if a vehicle is impounded, it shows something like this: Sanchez - MKU826 Emperor - DYC371 [IMPOUNDED: Impound Lot Name : Location (eg Paleto Bay, Mission Row, Sandy Shores, Downtown Vinewood, etc)] Riata - URJ87 Anybody, after showing ID, is able to request that information at the PD, or SD, in case they forget before they're released, or their license gets unsuspended and they're allowed to retrieve their vehicle. Speaking of which: No license should = no getting your car back. (Unsure if it's currently like that though.) People working at impound lots could also, if their government contract allows it, impound vehicles parked illegally, abandoned vehicles on the road, or even impound vehicles on private property if the owner of said property is requesting it. Which means! A script revision on impounding is needed. This is the part where I am heavily open to community feedback, and will add to the main thread ideas posted by ya'll on how this could be done better than what I'm about to explain. First thing, we need a new business type/script. Impound Lot. Anybody who is hired, or owns/leases one of these, is able to impound a vehicle, at the lot they work for only. ("BUT KARMA, THEY'RE GONNA ABUSE IT" Yeah, just like anything else abuseable on the server. You can literally revive yourself in the middle of a shootout, leave me alone. Besides, I talk a bit further down about how this can be handled IC.) Upon impounding a vehicle, the employee who did the /impound command receives an amount of money determined by the business they're hired by, which comes out of the business bank. Considering impounding (legitly anyways) isn't such a common occurance, the amount should be relatively high to keep your employees. When it comes to unimpounding, here's how it would go: A business employee is online: The player retrieving their vehicle calls the business' number (which should be publicly available, as per government contracts), and the call (which requires the player to be near the business, to emulate some kind of on-site request system, since this is a game and you can't have someone parked there for 8 hours a day, alternatively, a whole different system/command could be used) is an automated system, like the insurance system, eg: /call number > Operator: You have reached *Impound Lot Name*, please state your full name. > Person says their name. > Operator: Thank you, now please state the plate number of the vehicle you want to retrieve. > Person says the plate number. > One of three things can happen: Operator: Unfortunately, your vehicle cannot yet be retrieved as it was impounded less than 24 hours ago. OR Operator: We currently do not have a vehicle with the plater number "*plate number repeated here*". Could you read off the plate for me again? OR Operator: Very well! I've sent a message to employees, someone should be available to assist you soon. I don't think I need to explain the first two, but the third, should then send a chat message to online employees, saying "*Name* is requesting the unimpounding of <vehicle model> with plate <plate number>." The employee can then choose to do one of two things: Ignore it fully: If after 5 minutes no employee has /c(laim)u(nimpound) the vehicle is unimpounded automatically, assuming the player stayed near the impound lot, and is charged the default price* for unimpounding, in which case the employee isn't paid a dime. Or, the employee can head over there and initiate roleplay with the caller, and discuss a price with them. The employee, from there, can list off prices for the lot (going by vehicle size, amount of time the vehicle spent there, etc, depending on how in-depth the lot has their prices set - This is handled fully ICly, not an automatic price you'd setup in /bmanager), or even, try to screw them over and charge more than the lot's usual rates and pocket the extra profit. Point is, RP is generated. If an employee claims the unimpound but doesn't show up within 10 minutes, the automatic unimpounding kicks in. No employees are online? Do the same, minus the 5 minute timer, just straight up unimpound the car for the default price*. As for making sure the person requesting the vehicle is actually its owner, a list of impounded vehicles and their owners should be listed in the business menu (accessed with Y), which emulates contact with the PD to identify a plate number's owner. *Default price: A new price (I believe it's currently $5000) should be determined to be the default price of unimpounding. A low price would encourage people to actually claim these unimpounds and roleplay with the person, by offering the possibility to make several thousands of dollars off an unimpound. It both encourages employees to do this type of RP, AND business owners to actually hire folks to do the job (or hell, do it themselves if they're a small lot enough) instead of abusing the business type by letting it run passively and without RP. For these reasons, I suggest $500. Countering abuse: There's two types of abuse. OOC abuse, and IC abuse. OOC abuse should be handled the same as any other form of abuse. Whenever a car is impounded, admins get that notification in their chat; "<Model> with <plate> impounded by <name> on <date> <time>. <number> vehicles impounded in the last hour." If admins think OOC abuse is occuring, they can look into it. IC abuse, on the other hand, is, believe it or not, an IC issue! False impounds could be severely punished by the government, should the victim of this crime(?) report it to the government, with proof, and with repeat offenses from one lot. Punishments could be fines for first offenders, forcing the owner/managers to fire the employee responsible for it, and for severe repeat offenders, it could be as severe as ending the contract prematurely and maybe even seizing the land (scriptly, the business). The thread is bound to change as people submit ideas and I think of more, or ways to better systems I've come up. If you hold any interest in the suggestion, make sure to check back once in a while 🙂 Commands to add: /p(rivately)impound - Distinction between /impound and /pimpound, as I assume assigning access to a command that is currently scripted to only work with LEOs, and tying it to a business as well, might prove complicated. A whole new command would probably just make it was easier on the devs on that regard. /c(laim)u(unimpound) - Lets an employee claim the unimpound of a vehicle, so you don't see 7 employees all rushing to handle one unimpound, and also functions in place of letting the automatic system kick in. /s(et)u(nimpound)p(oint) - Done by managers/owners, sets the point where the person's vehicle will spawn upon being unimpounded. Also affects automatic unimpounds. /requestimpound - Used by LEOs/Government to request an impound. Simply sends a message to all impound lots' online employees, stating X vehicle needs to be impounded. /claimimpound - Used by lot employees to claim rights to an impound, both claiming it for themselves as an employee, and for the lot they're employed by. That way you don't see 7 towtrucks and 3 flatbeds show up for a single car. /setcontract <business ID> <time> - Used by Government employees handling such contracts. A business without a contract does NOT receive requests from LEOs and Gov, and CANNOT legally impound vehicles. ** Items to add: None. How would your suggestion improve the server? - Improve realism by making the process a lot closer to real life. - Encourage player interaction by turning what was once a very banal system into one which rewards employees who do interact, while also not disrupting players should no employees be available to unimpound over extended periods of time, or mismatching play times. - Discourage unrealistic/pointless chases, as your unimpound might end up costing you a hell of a lot more, especially if you get your licenses suspended for a week. - Create a new type of roleplay which we currently don't see much of. - Clean up our streets of abandoned vehicle. (I'm sorry for bashing PD a while ago, having been back a while now I see you actually do have your hands occupied with a lot more important tasks than impounding!) - Allow PD/SD to continue their work and just quickly ping available impounders to handle the job. - Allow criminal characters to have a bit of a front for their chopping gigs. Picture this: You tow a car you plan on chopping, high end alarm goes off, cops pull you over for the theft of the vehicle - You can now claim the vehicle was illegally parked and you work for X lot, and you were impounding it. If the vehicle was reported as stolen though, good job, ya played yourself. Additional information: Government contracts, although being an IC thing, I'm just dropping ideas to paint a clearer picture, should include such things: - Government claiming the lot should illegitimate impounds occur too many times. - No charging more than $X amount of money for an unimpound. - No charging more than $X amount of money per impounded day for an unimpound. - The lot's location, contact number should be publicly listed somewhere, eg a website (forum thread). - Etc ** Considering an impound lot that has been approved by PM but not by the government would turn out to be completely useless, the government contract could straight up be part of the script/lease request, and the command /setcontract completely skipped, non-existant. As I stated above in the thread, I am very much open to ideas on how to improve these systems and ideas. If you do submit extra ideas, please do read the full thread before! 🙂 Ideas I like will be added to the main thread, with credits!

  7. Short description: Add people who would be able to hack/unlock/open mobile phones. Detailed description: As we all probably know mobile phones are an essential thing for all of our characters in gta:w roleplay. People are using these tools: 1. To communicate with each other; 2. Store all of their contacts. All the information inside your mobile phone is most of the time extremely important "contact and information" wise. There could be some "shady" messages, your FB logins, suppliers, customers and etcetera. At the moment LSPD/LSSD (maybe somebody else as well) has a right/permissions/abilities to listen to these phones and gather the info from them (not sure how it works). But from illegal side of the server, most of the phones that you are getting from X/Y/Z situations during robberies or whatever are quite useless (you don't need to rob, you can just found it on the ground or whatever). Why so? Because they have those "unbreakable locks" in there. My offer would be to add a separate role in the server of people who would be able to "hack" or "unlock" those phones script-wise & rp wise. It's something like "serial remover", just "phone hacker"?? On top of that these people could provide a simple service, like changing your phone from Contract to Pay-To-Go (because IRL it's definitely possible). Commands to add: /unlockphone [item id] or /hackphone [item id] (unlocks the locked phone); /changephonetype [item id] [payg] (changes the contract to PAYG if needed) Items to add: No need, I believe that people can RP that they are connecting the "locked" phone to a computer and "hack" them like that. It's more kind of a creativity type-o thing. How would your suggestion improve the server? I believe that it would add more sense for people to take care of their phones. Many "illegal side" roleplayers are just dropping them anywhere and that's it. End of story. Nobody can use them. On top of that I believe that many people have managed to find at least once a randomly dropped phone in "somewhere" with a lock on it and they can't do anything with it. With this kind of "thing" in the server people would be able to deliver that phone to a "pawn" or straight to "a hacker" and he would be able to unlock it for X kind of fee??? Then you can check the info inside and use it yourself or sell the phone. Additional information: We have people who like to roleplay around skimming devices. I believe that this kind of role would help them to extend their roleplay and add some extra on top of it.

  8. This goes for each and every admin/supporter without a VIP rank, I have been roleplaying since early 2007 on numerous games, including SA-MP where I witnessed the first days of LS-RP (Den_Connors, Jay_McAdam, Zoran_ Golubovic etc etc) and in 2012 the opening of Project: Los Angeles. With that being said, I must say that GTA World has been one of the best and most enjoyable roleplay communities I've ever been on. The players are respacting eachother OOCly on a level beyond normal, which is really amazing and can't been seen elsewhere (atleast I haven't). But, do you know what amazed me the most? The Administration team, Why? For me the fact that a team of admins on a roleplay based community can have such respect towards players. I never fear admiting something wrong I've did, by now I have violeted a few, but minor rules which after explained totally make sence, but isn't really mentioned in that way in the server rules. However, I atleast, expected to get in serious trouble for any tinie mistake. Whenever I've seen a green name in /b I'd froze. Each and every of them who approached me OOCly made sure to explain me exactly what I was doing wrong, seeing by how the conversations are going a man can see that they really don't want to punish you in no way, but just want you to unerstand the rules and actually enjoy roleplaying as much as posibble, showing massive respect and understanding. Due to all of this mentioned above, I would like to ask all admins & supporters to respond to this topic by somply replying below. I would like to share a few gifts in the Christmas spirit to those who I believe deserve it. On the end of Christmas day, exactly at midnight GMT +1 I will pick a few names. Non-VIP's got advantage, please add a [*] on the end of your reply, or even if you don't have a comment at all, a star [*] as a reply is enough. Thank you all and Merry Christmas!

  12. Something I and @DS ran into a lot running DRD. I had to teach a lot of people how southerners/country boys actually talk. We never roleplayed straight out of the south as Dirt Road Dollars, we roleplayed Country Boys. Country is Country Wide. No one in the Country, in any 50 states, says "Howdy" on normal dialect, unless they're some like 90 year old guy in Texas, and even than it's kind of far-fetched. No one says yer, and all that anymore. Country boys talk normal, with an accent. A lot of people use to do that back in the day in the Sheriff's Department as well, but that's obviously not a thing here since day one. They might have different words for certain things, but no one talks like they're from the Wild West anymore. I loved roleplaying in Blaine County with Dirt Road Dollars, and obviously still frequently do as a Deputy Sheriff. It's one of the best places in my opinion because it's normally a closer-knit community that knows eachothers characters a lot. No one wants to intrude on your roleplay, but we just ask you to not make yourself look silly with the Wild West dialect.

  13. Feels like i’m playing Brazil RP. Any time i’ve been robbed its on a public, main road sidewalk. Never in secluded areas. So I think I will keep my gun, yes! And roleplaying a constant fear of criminals robbing me in broad daylight and on main roads, and will continue to carry my legal weapon everywhere, because there is nowhere but admin approved areas you cannot get robbed. Ridiculous that criminals don’t have to RP any fear when robbing. Oh see a victim standing alone in the road? GET HER get the money get the gun! But what about fear of being seen? Passing people? Cars? Police? Why not lure someone to an alley and or secluded area? Nah just pull up on a bike real quick and up your TEC with a mask on. But if I shoot someone RUNNING up to me full sprint with a weapon out and mask on I’d be jailed for DM, even though its clear what someone in a mask with a gun is going to do to me. Yikes!

  15. If this is the stance you feel is acceptable, the real issue is abundantly clear. The justification that a few people may be unhappy does not give the carte blanche to assume everyone deserves to be unhappy so long as you alone are not. Roleplay, serious, heavy roleplay, is understanding that you play a role, even if it is not always that of the protagonist. I willingly and occasionally enthusiastically play supporting characters that never touch guns and lose quite often because it helps make the experience enjoyable for others, and that experience is enjoyable for me too when people recognize the script that they can totally play fast and loose with. At no point do I assume that my enjoyment should be the absolute priority even at the cost of others, and honestly? ...that attitude would end many of these problems if most people adopted it. Which brings us back to you. You can have that attitude too. It is entirely within your ability to organize an enjoyable roleplay scene, which in turn will give you reputation, money, influence, and power. These are things people will voluntarily give you if you are fun to be around. But this attitude of deliberately and immediately discounting that other participants in your scheme can be allowed to have fun, is not at all cohesive or pragmatic in a roleplay environment. You are going to find that the staff are not prepared to agree with your stance of realism taking priority over community health. Realism to some is murdering their mugging victims to avoid witnesses because "psychopathic murderers are a real thing" (example). Realism to some is being fast at the draw and killing a random, unaffiliated civilian because it is indeed very realistic for innocent bystanders to be mixed up in a conflict they know nothing about (example). Realism for some is a fifteen year old performing a 160,000$ firearms scam, because apparently the kids are sent to do the dangerous stuff (example). These situations are distinctly disallowed, as evidenced in the report section, not because they are too outside of real situations, but because it is not a practical attitude in a heavy roleplay community. We make reasonable sacrifices of realism for the health of the community. This is a roleplay server. Play a role but do not do so in such a way that it is detrimental to others. I am willing to do just that much for you, the least you can do is the same for me. Good question - did you? You can be part of the solution. If a particular family is causing problems, do not sit on it. Be active in investigating and making examples of problem players. It is always in the interests of every criminal organization to ensure every participant in the area is not enjoying an excess that routinely brings unwanted attention from law enforcement, or worse, angry mobs.

  16. Should be live on the UCP when the next update hits, usually in the weekend but Christmas. The export popup will let you know if tattoo's are included or not, most likely not. You can find it on your character page under attributes. For when it's released, I've only tested this on a couple of characters so if there's a bug let me know, I don't think there will be as the data is matching the game data buuut you never know.
