  3. Alright, so welcome to my weed growing guide, I am George and I will be your host on this guide. We're going to assume that you already have a seed (or multiple ones) so only thing you will need to start growing is following: An interior (can't be done in the exterior), a place to grow weed (this can be anything really, you can grow them in the floor of the interior if you want) and a any light source (MUST be light furniture object). Other than that, you will also need some materials from farmers market: 2 Cottonseed Meal 1 Phosphate 1 Wood Ash 1 Limestone 1 Kelp Meal The following measures are for 1 seed. So if you had 20 seeds, you would get 40 cottonseed meal and 20 of all other materials. Assuming that we have gathered all that, it's time to move onto our actual farm. While in real life farm will need a lot of things (I will leave you to research that, this guide will focus only on script growing) but all you really need is the above materials and light source. When it comes to pots or growing beds, I personally use furniture item called ‚‚long industrial storage bin'' as it's 3 large boxes filled with dirt which is ideal for what we will need. For light source I personally use furniture item ‚‚industrial overhead light'' but you can really use anything, even a simple ‚‚bulb'' item. Once you have place your boxes and your lights above them, it's finally time to plant our first plants! When planting plants, you need to have all aforementioned materials and seed(s) in your inventory. To plant the seed you use the command /plant which plants the seed right below where you are standing, so in order to make our farm nice looking, you will climb up the box and do /plant in the middle of each box until you used all your seeds. It's important to plant them in the middle or near middle as there needs to be some space between the plants so you can't plant 10 plants in a very small space. Once you have your first seeds planted, it's time to water them. You can always check the status of your plants by doing /weedstatus. The script works in a way that you need to water seeds twice, first time right after planting them and second time once they grow from seed into half-grown plant. Now in order to water them, you need water bottle and then all you have to do is /feed or /feedplant. The way feeding works is that it feeds plants in certain radius from where you are standing so you can really just water your entire farm using single water bottle by doing /feed in middle of it. Growing phases Once you have your seeds planted and fed, all you have to do is lean back and let them grow. There won't be any actual visual growth for around 3-4 days when your plant will turn from seed into half-grown plant. Once half grown, you will need to water your plant again and wait for it to grow to ‚‚fully grown'' status. Half grown plant model Fully grown plant model Note: not feeding your plant won't cause it to die or anything, it's growing timer just won't tick while it's not feed. Note 2: you can't harvest half grown weed plant, only fully grown one. After around 7 or so days if you were diligent and caring, you should have your first fully grown plants, hooray! Now that we finally have our plants ready to harvest, it's time to talk about harvesting. You might have noticed when planting that it said something about your growing skill increasing, well, same applies for harvesting. When you just start growing weed, it will take around 7 or so days for your weed to grow, and as you grow more and more that will reduce to 6 instead of 7 days. Same applies for harvesting, at start you will be getting 20 weed per plant and certain % to get your seed back and slowly grow towards 30 weed per plant and again certain % to get the seed back. Note: there is no actual way to check your skill other than harvesting and checking the yields. In order to harvest weed all you have to do is /harvest weed. However, they have recently added a feature that allows you to harvest seeds as well which only gives you 2 seeds in return, without any weed. This has since been removed. Seeing as I've seen some refund requests or bug reports, I decided to also make a small list of known bugs when growing weed: Sometimes it will say there is no lights nearby even if you put them down. To fix that just do /fur which is a command that reloads the furniture, fixing the bug. When plant changes stages (from seed to half grown or from half grown to fully grown) plants will completely disappear, HOWEVER, they will return after next server restart so there is no need to panic. Sometimes the plant will be visible but /weedstatus will say that there is no plants nearby. Same issue as the one above and it will fix after server restart. /reloadprop used to make your plants disappear until next restart, I do believe that this has been fixed since. If you have any questions or wish to report any other bugs that people might find while growing weed, feel free to post so in the comments and I will upload the guide.

  5. Okay, so, I know I am fairly new on this server but I have noticed something that really pokes my eyes. If you were to take the general populace of the characters in GTA: World, you'd see that probably over 80 percent are flawless supermodels that speak many various languages. This goes for both males and females. Now, you might say, "well, let them RP what they want", but I personally pick to RP a realistic character with his own demons and his own flaws. How does that go? I am immediately punished for it. I take far more Ls because my character isn't perfect and doesn't know everything there is to know on Earth. This translates also into daily interactions where you basically get mocked, laughed at and treated like shit just because your character isn't hotter than Hollywood actors. I'm not even going to begin with people who decide to roleplay obese or visibly ugly. This begs the question though, what can we even do about it? You can't force people to be more realistic about their characters. Am I alone in being bothered by this issue or are there more people feeling the same way? Discuss.

  9. Also as I pointed out a earlier a majority of the eastern European ones are apart of the same mega faction. In reality there's only like 8 actual mobs, the rest are pretty minor or just small cells/crews which aren't really that distinguishable from gangs.

  10. I get there's a whole balance thing going but it's so unrealistic. IRL, in a place such as LA, you can find weed within minutes of asking. It makes no sense to limit it so much. As the post above said, there's a reason weed is dirt cheap (even cheaper where I'm from, can get it for $4 USD a gram). We gotta stop limiting criminal RP, which is already hard enough to benefit from if you don't have a dedicated supplier. Truth is, I want to grow weed, mostly for the roleplay, profits come second. But now I won't even be able to do that without having to fork hundreds of thousands of dollars at seeds which I may or may not get scammed on, and lose most of them after a couple weeks of growing. It's ridiculous. I've grown weed outside of the game before, and you don't just "have a chance" to get a single seed back from it, that's just ridiculous. You grow different types of plants, some which don't make much or at all smokeable weed, but make tons of seeds, and some which yield a good amount of smokeable, but little seeds. That's simplifying a ton but it's the general gist of it. Bring back /harvest seed damnit. If anything, if you're that worried about balance > realism, increase the amount of time it takes to grow seed focused plants. Edit, cause I forgot to add another important point; Weed is absolutely abundant IRL. It's the cops' job to crack down on growers and distributors, not the admins'. If anything, if the cops wanna pull a big brain play? They'll let the market overflow with it so the price of it goes down a by a lot, and criminal organizations don't fund their more illegal activities with it. It's absolutely stupid in my opinion that big brain plays like that are stopped by OOC actions limiting roleplay because "muh balance more important than yuh realism".
