  4. This works in a perfect world where everyone actually roleplays an actual character that they value. A world where someone will choose to walk away from an altercation and not come back instead of coming back with a full car of people to kill someone that looked at them funny as if being a criminal automatically makes you want to kill someone. A world where the priority after killing someone isn't grabbing their gun, it's trying to flee from the murder you just committed because it's at least 25 years in prison if you get caught. Our community isn't that perfect world. There's too many players with what are essentially throwaway characters that will take advantage of this and kill characters with hundreds of hours of development behind them. Those throwaway characters are what @????????? is referring to. Even if you bring on consequences like CKs and longer prison sentences, they'll just name change because they don't play a character. Meanwhile the other side has lost a character they've spent months on.

  5. The Story Arturo Torres (born August 18th, 2004) is a 16 year old boy living in Chamberlain Hills, Los Santos. Arturo is affiliated with the Chamberlain Varrio Tortilla Flats 13 gang and is commonly seen hanging around with the older gang members within the area. He has recently been seen selling narcotics from his bike around Chamberlain Hills. Arturo was born to a single-mother struggling to get by in the housing projects of Chamberlain Hill, during his adolescence he frequently witnessed his mother get high on heroin which has been a trend in his family as his father died of an overdose also. As time passed, and Arturo grew older - he began hanging out on the block more and more with people who were in a similar situation as himself. In the streets was where Arturo learned what it was to be a man. Despite his difficult upbringing, Arturo was always an excelling student at school. His grades were good, however his behaviour was an increasing issue and Arturo was suspended many times from school prompting his mother to go to the school and argue for his return as swiftly as possible. Arturo has a very outspoken demeanour and is quite timid at times where he feels threatened. Arturo also is quite talkative, known for joking around with people. Due to his open nature, Arturo is easy to befriend and is a loyal individual to his friends. Arturo also appreciates the value of his culture and the overall cause for their race and aspires to be a loyal Sureno soldier. He is completely indoctrinated by the gang culture around him and is constantly willing to prove himself. This has been seen recently where he has immediately undertook any task appointed to him by his big homies. Arturo also abuses narcotics such as PCP and marijuana to cope with trauma caused by his day-to-day life. Arturo is often seen writing lyrics on his phone for his new music, aspiring to be a rap artist in a bid to make it big and represent his hood and gang on a larger scale. This thread will proceed to highlight his development.

  6. Airport Vehicle Leases - Remove Unregistered Option Simple suggestion, remove the unregistered option to "purchase" a vehicle lease from the airport leases. No company would ever offer vehicle leases without registration on the vehicle. Causes more complications than needed during traffic stops as well. For @Wirbelwind Short description: Remove the unregistered option to "purchase" a vehicle lease. Detailed description: Same as above. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? Vehicle leases in the real world do not work like this, and it would ease with complications during traffic stops. (Trinity pre-remodel!) RATING: ???? (4/5) When I'm out at a bar, I'm looking for a few factors. I'm looking for enough men to make it interesting but not too many to make it the atmosphere thick with testosterone and Axe Body Spray. I'm looking for good music that's loud enough to drown out annoying people but low enough that I can warn a friend about a rogue clown. I'm looking for drinks that don't require me to go to a payday lender named Rico from down in the deepest of the Vespucci Canals. Trinity struck the balance in every single way. The price is right. So I've never paid a cover charge there nor have I ever overpaid for a drink and had to Karen out on the manager. This is a really good sign that it's a solid place to get absolutely fucking trashed and make a damned fool of yourself. I've seen everyone from political lackeys to local college students in attendance which really cements the idea that people from all sorts of unfortunate walks of life can afford to have a nice drink and get a little dancy at Trinity every now and then. Cute Bartendress The bartendress is like one half manic and one half sweet so be sure to give her a hello when you see her. I never caught her name because I was honing in on a dude who had shoes more expensive than my car. Which brings me to my next point! Ample fields of dick Unlike many bars, this bar had a good amount of men ranging from slightly scary Eastern Europeans to slightly scary politicians even to the ever present Nice Guys and Gym-rats. I am an equal opportunity destroyer so I love it all. This was a big plus. SHADE BEING THROWN BELOW Alright so I like a cocktail, but lemme level with ya on this thing here. Look below. (The trinity cocktail.) This thing is Vanilla Vodka, Kahlua, Club Soda, whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. I've got a biiiig aversion to dairy-flavored vodkas and yet I love kahlua so this was a big conflict for me. As I tasted it, I felt my pancreas just packing it in and shutting down. It got me super fucked up, so no complaints in that department, but it definitely hits a little too sweet. Secondly, after I got trashed on three Trinity Cocktails, in the drunken haze I began flirting with this really cute guy. He was a little eccentric, but he was an artist and that always makes me put out in like... point-five seconds. His makeup was mysterious and when I spilled my drink he pulled this extremely long handkerchief from his pocket to dry me off. He was a perfect gentlemen. Until I woke up the next morning, turned over in bed , and saw him clearly (see below): My final take on Trinity is that it is all you could ever hope for what with the usual risk of fucking a clown that pretty much any Nightclub has and even factoring in the one overly sweet drink. Those don't outweight the manic and lovely bartendress, the decent selection in men, and the good music! Check it out! 15. Short description: Default Radio to Off on Login, Auto-toggle radio off when going "off duty", Allow /togr while "on duty" Detailed description: If you're in a law enforcement faction (or probably any gov entity), you are familiar with the following problems: Your (/r)adio currently defaults to being "on" when you log in game. If you go "off duty", your radio stays on You are unable to turn off your radio (/togr) while you are "on duty" I suggest the following: Default the radio to being "off" when you log in game If you go off duty, auto toggle the radio off. Basically the opposite of the current behavior which auto toggles the radio on when you go "on duty" Allow the radio to be toggled off and on when you're "on duty" Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? Defaulting the radio to being "off" when you log in: If you don't roleplay a homeless police officer/firefighter that sleeps in your faction's headquarters, they probably drive home at the end of the day. It's incredibly annoying to log in game, spawn at your chars home, and start seeing traffic stops, pursuits, shootouts, and other conversations taking place on your radio and have to /togr to stop them. In other words, it makes no sense to default this to being "on". Auto-toggling the radio off when you go "off duty": Just like how we currently auto-toggle radios on when we go "on duty", we should auto-toggle radios off when we go "off duty". If you're a cop or firefighter or something that carries your radio home with you and leaves it turned on while you make dinner for your spouse and kids/while you do other off duty things, that's a personal problem, but it doesn't (or at least shouldn't) represent the majority of LEO roleplayers. Allowing toggling the radio off/on while you're "on duty": The objective argument is that if you're doing an interrogation, interview, or other similar process, it's incredibly disruptive to see constant yellow and brown chat flooding your screen. And your radio is RPly off anyway during that. So we should support that via the script. The moral argument is that if a cop or firefighter wants to turn off their radio completely and not respond to things when they're on duty, there's no reason the script should prevent that. 17. +1 Couldn't agree more with everything suggested. My Patrick Cousins character is RP'ly a semi pro poker player who has moved from England to LS to make more money against higher rollers. This entails me almost solely making all of my money from poker. When things like the Ace - 5 straight are not counted and the kicker not counted that directly influences my (and everyone who plays) ability to make money from poker. Even for someone who's RP isn't based around poker this is more than just an annoyance as it has a genuine huge impact in the types of hands you can play. Where in real life poker Ace,4 suited may be a tempting hand to play due to it being a "blocker" it's almost completely unplayable on this server. Likewise I know I have lost possibly more than 100k due to pots being chopped when I have the higher kicker, this is something that should just not occur at all as it's completely unrealistic and no poker game would ever be like this irl. The issue Rory brings up about calling re-raises costing the full amount of the re-raise is another serious issue I believe. If I have a good but not great hand and I raise according to my value and table position (let's say I raise 5k) if someone then raises up to 7k in this position he's also likely got only a small amount of value in this hand and so I should be able to call for 2k knowing we have similar values. But if I have to call that full 7k (on top of the 5k I already put in) all of a sudden I am losing too much value and should fold. This situation is unfair on me as I should be able to play and see the next card and potentially win the hand based off it. Again this is completely unrealistic the way the situation currently is and I do believe this needs changing as poker continues to grow on the server. Rory is spot on in terms of showing position. This is literally one of the most important things in poker. As Rory says you literally do not play some hands in one position but play it lots in other positions. Take Pocket 4's as an example. If I am one of the early actors I surely must fold pocket 4's but if I am one of the last actors I am playing pocket 4's probably around 80-85% of the time, with that 15-20% only being when another player from an earlier position has raised/raised a large amount. Seeing position is super important! Fixing the players leaving mid hand bug is important. The other day I had 2 hands within 20 minutes of each other that got frozen out due to this bug. Ace Jack suited and pocket Queens. Both of these hands are money making hands! And I lost that ability to make money due to this bug. The second time this happened the player who left had been there when the first one happened and we all said in /b "why" etc cause he knew about the bug and he just didn't care. The fact a player has that kinda power is really harmful. I would love the ability to spec players. Some of my friends enjoy poker but don't have money they can afford to lose, some enjoy it but don't play it, they'd still like to be able to watch the action unfold. This should be a no brainer especially as blackjack has this feature. All of these features are hugely important to the standard of poker RP (with the exception of spectating but as stated it should be a no brainer as blackjack already has that) if these features are added poker RP is gonna be so so much better. but if they aren't added it's gonna remain fairly unrealistic and that's a huge huge shame in my opinion.
