  1. Short description: Set up a set of particular restrictions and modifications to the currently existing trucking script in order to incentivise more role play on the job. Detailed description: Step 1: Automate (and NPC out) the loading and unloading process of trucks, however add a timer for the completion of such process with the truck frozen in place, yet able to be departed from. Step 2: Set a limit to routes you can take per hour (or per day), however adjust trucks' crate holding capacity to even out the hourly profit as it is/should be with the then restricted/lesser amount of routes. PS: Consider (and likely do) lowering amount of deliveries needed to jump into a better/bigger truck for obvious reasons (limited routes per hour). Commands to add: N/A, just alter the currently existing ones. Items to add: N/A, just alter the crate capacity ratios of current trucking vehicles to even out expected hourly profits post route restrictions. How would your suggestion improve the server? Step one of my suggestion would get rid of the obnoxious two-emotes (un)loading process that people insist on calling role play and will instead add an incentive to human interaction/social role play around the job. Step two will replace a lot of the mechanical grind with free time to actually role play and develop a character, around the job/theme of trucking and otherwise. It will also further discourage truckers from racing around Los Santos for the sake of making an extra dollar. In cohorts these two changes of the trucking system will in my opinion change the scriptwise incentives the job provides and subsequently shift the mental focus away from speeding and grinding to an actually better paced and fitting one for a role playing environment. What's even better about my suggestion is that it doesn't (at least on paper) require a major/complete overhaul of the trucking-business inventory system. Additional information: Jobs like trucking and the way the script around them is set-up are by nature ones that actually financially penalize you for stopping and actually role playing on the job (unlike startshift jobs). Wether people are right or wrong for optimizing such systems and chosing to neglect role play for the sake of profit is a whole different subject. The fact is that the script allows it/that is its very nature and that is not okay for a role playing server. Such script setup is counterproductive in principle to the standards the community tries to uphold. People that chose to AFK out the timer times suggested and things a-like can and should always be punished. Just like racing people are now. Excuse typos or whatever, lmk if something is unclear.

  2. Welcome to Los Santos Republican Party's website. This is Alex Flynn's manifesto, candidate for the city's Central District. Los Santos citizens are facing many difficulties under the pressure of an unstable economy, a lack of public trust, and an inherent leadership challenge at the city level. For far too long have the people not been heard. Each individual constituent cannot settle for less in a time like this. Flynn believes in taking a proactive stance against issues that negatively impact Los Santos citizens, and solve them before it's too late. The City of Los Santos is in need of a fighter and a reformer, and Flynn certainly is both. As a former law enforcement officer with a career spanning over one decade with the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department (serving as custody staff, patrol staff, detective and detective-specialized field supervisor), he personally fought the problems faced by Los Santos' citizens on a daily basis, ranging from institutional corruption to violent crime. Flynn has dedicated his adult life to working for the State he was raised in, and this is why he is most fit to serve the Central District, and the city at large. It is time to put the will of the people first and make Los Santos great again. SOCIAL HOUSING AND CITIZEN WELFARE DEVELOPMENT There is no question that our city has several neighborhoods defamed by crime. This is why Alex Flynn is intending to set up a social housing program to provide housing of low income citizens. In a constant fight against inflation and crime in order to support the people's well-being, as well as in support of rehabilitation, it is his belief that pursuing a solid program aimed to supply the need for affordable housing in a safe district. The program aims to fund local real estate & development agencies who can provide low-rent apartments and make them available to those who sign up in the program. The Los Santos City Government will serve as the program's administrator, and respective funding being appropriated on a fiscal quarter basis. In turn, affordable housing becomes attainable, countless of both private sector and government jobs become readily available, as well as individual real estate agencies benefit from public funding. This program is believed to be a win for all if successfully executed. VETERAN AND PEACE OFFICER AFFAIRS The rights of our veterans and peace officers must also be preserved. The intention to aid them with counseling to continue their careers in other domains is coming under Flynn's tenure, who is in support of providing former military service personnel and peace officers with a number of services to help them to successfully transition into civilian life, such as access to social housing, income support, career counseling and mental health help. This is done through public funding and government assistance intended to support organizations such as the San Andreas Veterans Association in their endless fight for veterans. Alex Flynn stresses the need for centralized peace officers standards and training. Law enforcement agencies across the state have very different standards and training set forth for baseline officers, and this severely affects the public's perception of our law enforcers whilst it hinders effective collaboration. Regardless of rank or position, a law enforcement officer should first and foremost be a community leader, as they benefit from a great deal of public trust. Recent public events show how our police has a broad vote of no confidence. Individualization of policing to fit each community's needs is paramount to law enforcers' success in their common goal of fighting crime, and this is achieved through appropriate training and oversight. Initiatives such as the Los Santos Police Department's Basic Car Plan, which ensures community oriented policing, must be supported and expanded upon. Public funding to expand on programs such as the aforementioned one along with a civilian overview board in how law enforcement officers are trained is what will make a difference. This ensures public accountability, which is the number one concern for our citizens. SMALL BUSINESS LOANS Business is important to the Central District's economy, and not only. The central area of Los Santos is an entrepreneur's best opportunity to succeed. Statistics show that small and medium businesses managed by entrepreneurs with a limited budget are usually subject of bankruptcy, therefore thousands of jobs for our citizens being lost yearly. Furthermore, one of the most elaborate crime within Los Santos is extortion. Local businesses who cannot afford proper security are subject to extortion, and whilst the local law enforcement community is striving to target a broad array of combat methods, they often fall short. Businesses should have the possibility of standing their own ground without becoming dependent on anything else other than their own abilities to perform. Alex Flynn believes in a program that supports business owners in continuing to do what they do best, by providing city funded loans, financed on a case by case basis, with up to 5% APR. Investing in the city's infrastructure would lead to a multiplier effect—an initial investment leads to a more than proportional rise in real GDP (output). An increase in the output leads to a fall in unemployment, as more jobs are created. This entire scheme allows long term economic growth to take place and make the Central District more productive. 4. Short description: GTA Online's MC system added an option in the interactive menu to change your riding style, between Normal (which is what everyone rides like currently on the server), and Relaxed. Would be cool to have that on the server, either through the interactive menu or via command. Detailed description: I tried going on gta online to record the riding style in question but I couldn't get most of the animations to trigger, so here's two videos I found on the subject instead Commands to add: /ridestyle & adding a riding style option in the interactive menu. Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? It'd add some variation to bikers/riders' looks, allowing more laidback riders to look more relaxed on their bikes. Additional information: I'm not 100% sure if it's possible with RageMP currently but if it is it'd make a nice addition.

  6. (OOC) This racing group aims to portray a thriving part of real life Los Angeles Culture in the game of GTA W. Street racing is not only exclusive to mall rats, believe it or not a lot of criminals ranging from gang bangers to organized crime individuals get involved with street racing because it's such a huge money maker. With 516 Racing (516 being the Los Santos area code) we hope to establish an underground community of people who bring out cars for night events and bet money on there cars. We don't want this to be a community in which people bring out exotic/luxury cars, we don't intend on racing in the mountains or deserts this a straight street scene. I'll link some videos down below for reference.

  7. In the last few days I've encountered persistent issues with server side shortcuts and binds. It seems that, without any rhyme or reason, various command keys like U (anim wheel), X (siren), or O (action wheel) will stop working. Sometimes restarting my game will work. On a few occasions I've had to go as far as to delete my client resources in the RAGE folder. The issue still occurs at random and I can't seem to find a permanent fix.

  13. The way it works for us admins is that we have a brief guideline on how to handle situations, usually most admins will (depending on admin record and history) hand out either a verbal warning or a recorded warning. We only go to ajail if it's a definite rule break and your admin history is recent (and usually for a similar offence) but me personally? I tend to avoid ajailing and banning people, in fact I think we all do. We know that ajailing and banning people should be a last resort, thus, we avoid it. Furthermore, if you were in our position having to handle a report of lets say major PG, two players have history of doing this and let's add they also have only recently been unbanned for non-rp. You have to take into account previous offences and how this is effecting other peoples RP because at the end of the day us admins only want the best for everyone and sometimes issuing an adminjail is necessary for the situation to progress. Banning someone, as aforementioned, a last resort and it's usually for a serious offence; MG to a severe degree or running around DMing and so on, however, we don't do it intentionally to piss you off, in fact, we try to calmly and collectively make the other player understand the issues and why their actions have these consequences. If we don't inform and talk to the player we're issuing the punishment to then that'd be an easy "get out of jail" free card, likewise, we need solid and valid evidence before issuing a ban. I think punishments reflect behaviour of players and will make them think about how they approach a similar situation in the future and how to not handle it. It's all about giving everyone the best opportunity on this game. If you read through the staff update, Canadian includes statistics that we recieve over 15,000 reports a month (something like that) and of course not every admin and tester will get it right, hence why we have staff reports, we're all only human and make human error. Nevertheless, I think punishments should remain within the game as it only allows each player to improve and in my eyes, I think a punishment being issued can help other players to not do what they did. Sometimes punishments do come off as unfair, I get that, however, like I said above, we are all only human and again it's why staff reports exist. I know sometimes I've made a bad judgement and have talked it out with them on the forums and that resulted in me apologising and unbanning / unadminjailing them. Finally, I know it comes off as a negative thing to issue a punishment, but as I said, it's only to ensure everyone gets the same treatment and 9 times out of 10 we're usually kind about it (unless you tell us to go fuck ourselves etc) and we will talk it out with you. I know I'm always willing to listen. Hope this helps. If not well, sucks. EDIT: I'm not a perfect admin and I still learn how to handle different situations every time I take a report. We're all learning how to be the "best" admin we can be as a team.

  15. @Flame CATCH UP: Javon Moseby a/k/a Lil Drama#2 was shot and killed by rival gang members from Kelly Park Carson Crip in broad daylight. Under the hashtag #92Days92Nights, users on Facebrowser are issuing a stark warning: Two Los Santos gangs are betting which one can kill 92 people—in a gang, or innocent—within the next 92 days. The bet—which follows the death of “Lil Drama#2,” a member of the IFGB gang—was allegedly made the day of his death. There's been fuel added to the fire due to members of KPCC disrespecting the memorial set up for Javon Moseby. Here's where the war currently is: 92 Days, 92 Nights IV — Time to Play Ball I While in 57NHC territory throwing up graffiti, a known truck owned by a KPCC affiliate was spotted by KS#1 surveying the area. The duo quickly dropped everything they were doing and tailed the SUV to a red light not too far away from the original location in which it was spotted. When they caught up with the truck a barrage of shots were fired with murderous intent; although there were no reported killings, the shootings continued on all rivals of the IFGB street gang in order to send a message after one of their own was murdered in broad daylight. 92 Days, 92 Nights IV — Time to Play Ball II

  16. Short description: Adjust the in-game character statistics to be realistic, e.g Stamina, shooting etc. Detailed description: The in-game character statistics that determine stamina, shooting (The ones you can upgrade in GTA:Online), are all set to 100, this means you can shift-sprint forever (Usually, if it's set at 0, you get a small timeframe of sprinting before it begins damaging your character over time, meaning you can exhaust yourself into an injury/injured state.) As for shooting, it means you get ACTUAL recoil when shooting, rather than just lasering bullets like your character is a highly trained marine. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? Well, I was having a chat with @Maple and he agreed with the precedent that the current stat values for some attributes are allowing a lot of unrealistic roleplay to take place. Examples being people shooting like John Wick due to the 100 shooting stat, OR, as a recent example, people SPRINTING for a FULL marathon that took place from the Observatory, all the way to the end of Del Perro pier. They sprinted for the ENTIRE distance, which is hilariously unrealistic. If this was in place, it'd mean that people would have to bide their sprinting carefully, and only do it when their stamina goes up! This makes it much fairer and more realistic in my opinion. (Also, PD footchases that last 30 years because the guy won't RP running out of breath, I hope you cop players agree it's super fucking annoying sometimes.) Additional information: I'm really open to any counter-arguments on this! This is a VERY baseline for what I want, and I'd like to find contingencies if people have other suggestions on how to do this.
