  1. The O’Neill Mob, or sometimes referred to as the O’Neill Gang is the name of a criminal organization of county-based criminal elements and profiles gathering together under leadership from old-timer Reinhart ‘Rhino’ O’Neill. The organization holds base in Blaine County and is known to take part in anything varying from weapons- & drug-running, prostitution, gambling, robbery & murder. With most members and associates being found as locals within Blaine County, the members of the organization would generally be seen as members of the lower-income part of society. The group itself can be considered somewhat similar to the Dixie Mafia in many senses of organization and process. But they do not claim to be part of it or even affiliate remotely with them. The fact of the matter is that many Southern states originated criminal organizations get the term used about them, as a general reference. The roots of the organization lay many years back when Reinhart got discharged from the army. A dishonorable discharge for sedition. Reinhart will never admit to this though and holds fast that he left honorably at the rank of Sergeant. As a result of this, Reinhart got involved in a smuggling ring, traveling from state to state, crossing the lines in order to move whatever goods got moved. It was during these times he ran into three like-minded men and small-time criminals; Judge ‘JC’ Carter, Cash ‘Money’ Bennett & Hunter ‘Kenny’ Jackson. This was the beginning of the group or the mob as they liked to call themselves from time to time. A traveling group of criminals performing crimes as they passed through different states in search of an easy dollar. A charismatic Reinhart convinced the men that he could lead them to a life of wealth and respect, should they only follow his path of utilizing every member’s various skills for monetary gains. Very much so in the line of various categories with criminal elements of course. Reinhart’s violent past and nature caused the younger men of the group to follow his lead, and their loyalty gave the group their reputation. Reinhart likes to see the organization as one big family, and associates of the group get pulled in or even lulled into the family aspect of it all, where they force upon them their traditions and values. Not so much a brainwash, as bringing people in to be a part of something bigger - something of a collective. Taking outsiders and outcasts and bringing them into the arms of a welcoming organization that could provide them with help and home when needed, were always strong arguments for the man on his path to glory. Shaping and forming the organization along the way. The only price to be paid by members is that they make their worth and value to pay for what they’re given by the group itself. Protection and support at a very low cost. The organization performs a variety of illegal elements to fund its projects. They keep their strong family standards high and value their structure as a group more than anything. But on everyone’s mind in such areas, money stands tall - and the end game for many of the members is to make enough money to get out of the current life they hold. By any means possible. But many of the older members of the organization have found this to be the way of life, and merely seek to uphold what has been started, keeping the continuation going. Life of crime and violence has become every-day life, and although they shape themselves to modern times, the widespread county allows them to perform various actions without much policing and oversight to stop them. The group has used and continues to use this to its advantage. “They were just a loosely knit bunch of thug guys that got together that robbed, murdered, and killed. Anything that they could for a dollar they did.” Although leadership is loosely based within the organization. As every prominent member may call shots to different situations, the structure comes down to who holds the most influence and money to make things happen. Family ideals at heart, it is still widely recognized that when a prominent member orders something done, it gets carried out and the order does not get crossed. The group does hold onto Southern heritage and pride strongly. This probably derived from Reinhart’s strong opinions on the matter. Forcing his thoughts and ideas on the leading figures. Although not every member is discriminating when it comes to outsiders and other groups, the mob as a collective is known to throw both racial slurs and have strongly negative opinions in regards to outsiders in the sense of both trust and social actions performed. The organization finds itself focused mainly around their businesses around Sandy Shores & Route 68, but their associates and members have been known to spread all over Blaine County and take advantage of the widespread and empty land. Not all members hold a criminal record although many of the prominent members of the group have found themselves in constant trouble with the law due to their acting out. Out of Character The O’Neill Mob is attempting to portray a realistic environment for people that wish to roleplay within a county-based community. With both aspects of crime and legal enterprises at hand for any and all members, the aspect of the faction will always be within the bounds of an outlaw group based in Blaine County. The faction wishes to uphold and create RP within the county for anyone that wishes to be a part of it. We seek to entertain and create a roleplay environment and community for those of you that want a change from the city environment. Although loosely based around the Dixie Mafia structure and heritage, this is by no means based around that and will be considered more of a group of people getting together as a community of various personalities. The faction reserves the right to character kill people involved with it so long as the reasoning behind it is there. We will never character kill without reason and it will always be considered the final option. It is expected that people associated get permission from a full member before any screenshots are posted. Portrayal and quality stand high within the faction, and all members are expected to uphold these standards at all times. We welcome locals of Blaine County to also tag along in our roleplay, being a local does not give us the right to character kill your character. We invite everyone that wishes to tag along to get involved. Questions or the wish to join the discord can be directed to @Shanks .

  2. “Based on our investigation, what we have learned is that it’s an enterprise. And an enterprise is a legal term that refers to a group that’s committing crimes of all sorts. The types of enterprises that the government investigates range from street gangs […]. Based on our investigation, we found Armenian Power to be a very sophisticated enterprise because it has both street gang aspects and higher organized crime aspects. So, it’s almost like a marriage of the old Italian Mafia and street gangs. They have power on the street based on young individuals, who pose as gangsters, and they are people who carry firearms and do sort of the violent dirty work. But then, they have other associates who don’t get involved in the street gang, but they have expertise in fraud, money laundering, and things of that sort. And then there is a small group of people who sort of vie for control of these different aspects.” - Martin Estrada, from the Criminal Division of the Office of the U.S. Attorney General, in “Armenian Power is Like a Marriage of the Old Italian Mafia and Street Gangs” Panorama of Little Armenia, Los Santos Armenian Power is a criminal organization comprised of multiple layers ranging from a street gang identity to a more sophisticated, organized crime network with strong ties to major Armenian and Russian criminal figures, commonly referred to as “thief-in-laws”, “vory v zakone” or simply “Vors”. The fall of the Soviet Union enabled satellite countries to have a broader access to emigration, which caused a major wave of soviet-bloc citizens to relocate to the United States of America in search for a better life. Although Armenians were already spread throughout major cities in the United States prior to the dissolution, the West Coast had become the preferred location for Soviet-bloc immigrants, with small communities surfacing all over the Southern San Andreas area. One of the communities that was shown more interest than others was the Morningwood neighborhood of West Los Santos, which eventually became an enclave for Armenian immigrants as their population had grown significantly. With this, Armenian-owned businesses had started to appear throughout, and locals began leaving their cultural marks on the neighborhood which ultimately turned into Los Santos’ own Little Armenia. Similar to the majority of other ethnic criminal organizations in Los Santos, Armenian Power was initially formed as a small clique of Armenian and Soviet-bloc immigrants from the small community of Morningwood as a way to protect themselves against the abundance of gangs that were fighting for territory in the larger Vinewood area. With numerous Armenian Power figureheads vying for control, it was in the late 2000s when Rouben "Camel" Sevacherian and Davit "Caterpillar" Avetisyan, two notorious underworld figures renowned for their innovative and state-of-the-art schemes, rose to power.Their organization was set in stone by forging an alliance with an alleged “crowned” Armenian thief-in-law, Vrej "Benzin" Yuzbashyan, who collected a percentage of their earnings in exchange for granting them access to his overseas criminal network. This allowed the duo to become widely known and respected in a larger circle, with a reach well past the borders of Los Santos. In 2010, Avetisyan and Sevacherian had learned the hard way that their actions can have hard repercussions when they were arrested and sentenced to serve time in the Twin Towers county jail after a failed attempt to steal a high-end vehicle. Much like the outside, the prison scene was divided into cliques, the most influential of all being the southerners, whom ran the yard under the reign of Mexican Mafia leader Rene “Bosko” Blajos. This caused somewhat of a dispute between Avetisyan and Sevacherian, the latter not willing to risk serving additional time for the likes of La eMe and chose to serve his time with his head down, whereas Caterpillar ultimately connected with Blajos and resonated with the promises of protection and access to various pipelines when released. Needless to say, upon being released, the duo had split into two separate cells of the Armenian Power organization, each followed by their respective peers based on where their loyalties laid, with Avetisyan bringing the presence of Armenian Power X3 (or AP-13) and embracing the sureño lifestyle while paying dues to the Mexican Mafia, and Sevacherian’s Westside Armenian Power clique which chose not to operate along with Blajos’ Street Crew and instead follow his previous co-conspirator Vrej “Benzin” Yusbashyan and maintain connections to the Russian mafia and Eurasian organized crime. Sevacherian's ideology about the Mexican Mafia was also shared by previously convicted Armenian Power affiliates Arman “Slick” Vartanian, Arto “Kaz” Kazarian and Gevork “Sneaks” Karayan, who ultimately chose to stay close to their roots in Morningwood and operate alongside Rouben upon their release. Those, along with Arshen “Mad Dog Marko” Markosyan and brothers Vardan “Romeo” and Levon “Pitbull” Gasparyan were what became the "core" group within Morningwood's Westside Armenian Power gang, which engaged in activities ranging from extortion and credit card fraud, to prostitution and drugs and weapons trafficking. What followed was a fruitful period for the Morningwood-based gang, having registered a significant increase in membership and with that, more profitable opportunities through schemes devised by the aforementioned “core” members and Sevacherian’s connection to higher underworld authorities from both the Los Santos and the international organized crime sphere. Eventually, after having gained a higher status within the underworld and seeing his protegees’ ability to keep the streets under control, the chieftain was prompted to take a step further and distance himself from the streets of Morningwood and thus ascend in a more organized, closed circle of figures alike. That soon came to an end, though, when Rouben abruptly went missing after what looked like an attempt on his life in Las Venturas, which caused a period of restlessness both within the ranks of the Armenian Power clique and his respective higher circles. Rouben’s disappearance prompted new figureheads to step up and take control of the organization, forced to operate under the assumption that the notorious AP leader had died. -Snippet of L.S. Times article following Rouben Sevacherian's disappearance OOC This faction aims to portray a modern-day Westside Armenian Power gang based in Los Santos. We expect only the highest standards of roleplay and portrayal from any member that wishes to join the faction. 4. At the current time in server there is an overwhelming amount of law enforcement alts. I understand not everyone wants to play a cop for an extended amount of time and that the server needs police. But I feel like a balance need to be made, currently over half the police force aren't real characters. They have no flaws or weaknesses, no life outside of the PD to be mindful of. These characters in term don't show any real fear to any situation they encounter. It is common place within the PD to have people CK, and start a new character already in the PD with the approval of their higher ups. (I've seen it happen first hand) It is also common place to have a officer pick and chose when they want to CK in a situation where they would of otherwise forced the other party to, or even to hold off on CK's until they decide they want to seek more serious charges. (Not going to name any names, but you know who you are) I would like to see these characters and their players be held to the same standards of the rest of the community. Fear should be a massive part of every interaction they have. They should value the life of their character as much as anyone else they interact with, and be apart of the community their effecting. Now I know plenty of cops are going to come reply to this, trying to defend themselves with examples of all the great RP they had. Don't. If you don't feel like what I'm saying here applies to you as a cop, then thank you very much for your RP and please keep doing what you're doing. I know there is awesome PD and SD characters, I also know there is some not so great people who treat their time on duty like a time to cut loose, get into some cop chases, and shoot at people and would just like to remind them that they are playing characters on a roleplay server and need to be held to the same standards as everyone else.

  5. I've seen this pop up a few times. I've discussed this exact thing with FM and what you quoted here is a common misconception. There is no such rule on the server for any factions. Factions that do this restrain themselves, not the other way around. I've actually read this whole discussion and I'm sorry to say this but according to what I was recently informed of by management, you're all pointing fingers at each other without realizing you're all wrong. There is no ''you can't come back to x position after CK rule'' in place that blanket covers all factions on the server. There are a select few factions which choose to do this themselves, and that's completely onto them. Why does the LSPD choose not to make people jump through hoops after getting CKed most of the time? Not because it would be a waste of their time, no, but a waste of everyone else's time. Some of you may not know this, but a decent 40% if not more of the time spent ''playing'' the game for law enforcement roleplayers past their probationary ranks is spent writing documents. And we (both us and the LSSD) have made it our sole purpose to take out any non essential documentation. But that still leaves us with **a literal shitload** of work that simply must be done to achieve some semblance of realism within law enforcement roleplay. I think it's a waste of time for my 3+1's, detectives, sergeants, lieutenants, captains, commanders and deputy chiefs to go through the motions ICly and administratively with someone that for example has already reached the rank of Lieutenant in my faction and just happened to get himself CKed/arrested/removed for whatever IC reason if it's not necessary and the roleplay leading up to it was of good quality. These people who play this game as a hobby in their free time and do not get any financial compensation for behaving like they would in a real business environment spending countless hours teaching people who actually need that new experience should not be further penalized for having chosen this path, simply because of an arbitrary rule that defines who and when may start at what position, for no other purpose then ''the need for every character to start fresh from the bottom''. This might sound like mixing to you, but at the end of the day: You are not just roleplaying a character in the faction. Yes, you might be roleplaying a character who is a lieutenant. But that also means you are actually fulfilling the tasks of a lieutenant. Which means you are in command of a group of 20+ people, or multiple groups of people. This means you need to have experience. Real, over time gained experience. You need to be able to communicate with people. Not communicate in the sense of saying ''hello'' and ''goodbye'' every day, but you need to be able to ensure they do their jobs, that their jobs are done in a fashion that qualitatively is at the very least good enough for the LSPD and you need to manage the careers of these people. Deciding if they get promoted, deciding if they get demoted, offering new positions to these people... yeah, that's all part of the career package. Do not for a second underestimate the fact you need to be competent and experienced OOC to even get close to these positions. At minimum with restrictions in place, it will take you 7-9 months in the faction to get to Lieutenant. Only two people have ever reached the rank in the minimum amount of time it took to get there. Most people take at least 9-12 months to achieve a position this high or of similar workload in the LSPD. Losing people that you have spent 12 months training, guiding and evaluating for a particular job or part of the faction hurts. It doesn't just hurt the organizational readiness of the faction, but also ruins OOC motivation and makes it very difficult to maintain team cohesion. All of these things not happening were a big part of the LSPD being able to change so much already in 2020. When you create a character, you can have that character be whomever you want to be. I do not see any good reason why on a case by case basis in good judgement people can't decide that their character is a police captain who just so happened to go up the rank in unnamed district of the LSPD, because it suits the greater needs of both the faction and the community to have that OOC person retained in their position. Now don't get me wrong. IF people want to voluntarily step down, take a lower ranking character, whatever, that's fine by me. And they do have to go through the motions like everybody else. But in situations where it is unnecessary and causes an OOC brain drain of ANY faction, be that the LSPD or for example a much smaller faction in which that person getting removed is playing a pivotal role and absolutely cannot be taken away from their position or it will hurt/destroy said faction, it's unbecoming of any of us to ask that person to start completely from the bottom simply to satisfy our own needs. It's selfish and will hurt the quality of the server in the long run.

  7. I don't feel like anything needs to be added on top of what Jessica already said here. I've witnessed two lonely PD officers walk through a gang-infested complex, being stopped in their tracks and surrounded. What did they do? Started hurling racist insults towards the gang members. I'd love to see that actually happen in real life, out of their cruisers, in a complex surrounded by violent gang members. It's such an easy excuse to say: "Just report poor roleplay or portrayal". We did report the two officers and guess what? The admin almost sided with them, giving them a teeny tiny slap on their fingers, that's it. It's gone to the point where most illegal roleplayers won't even bother with reporting officers because the general consensus is that Legal FM and admins alike are more likely to side with LEO factions than with illegal factions.

  11. Yo. I saw some quick comments wanting examples and basis so; I have been within Judiciary aka the courts for 12 months, Sheriff's for 8 months and then Police for 18 months before Sheriff's. I have had 5 characters between Sheriff's and Police and 1 character within Judiciary throughout this time. I have never been PK'd or put into death-mode during that time on any of those characters during law enforcement role-play, I have had alternative characters within illegal factions and/or positions. This has only helped me understand better the state of illegal role-play and how to better contribute to the experience of this illegal role-players while on my law enforcement character. Personally, my opinion on the whole shebang is not a popular one. I believe that if you are PK'd on-duty, and it isn't a situation in breach of the rules, you should CK. Why? You have a radio in which you can call the entire faction over, some have a rifle accessible to them at a moments notice, you have armor on your character's body. If you died, it's tough shit and you should take the L and learn from it. Retreat, role-play fear, get colleagues over. Is your character seriously going to push against a gang when they are out-numbered? Do they care more about a license suspension than their own life? "This isn't worth it, lets get the fuck out." is something that should be said more. Now when it comes to the demotion part, I honestly do not think demotions are the way forwards. Perhaps resetting their 'progression', they start from the time requirements for the next rank again, something along those lines. There has to be a median between fair and fun. I have written manuals in both Sheriff's and Police which are still used, I'd probably jump out my window after spending hours on that only to be wiped out by a metal mall-rat bat and demoted. tl;dr imo there is an issue, there needs to be more consequences for law-enforcement and they should be held to a much higher standard than they are currently. However, these consequences should be set in place for everyone, illegal and legal. OOC bias will always exist, that needs to be mediated as well. I've got no idea on how though.

And yet it is always a surprise when it happens to someone we know. It is like walking up the stairs to your bedroom in the dark, and thinking there is one more stair than there is. V1P3R BACKSTORY "When I was first involved in the cliqua, I didn't even know it was happening. I was nine, and older boys from my barrio used to send me on jobs to collect stuff, giving me candy or money and telling me I did good. I didn't know it at the time but I was delivering drugs, running them across the streets of Jamestown" "I started living on the streets, mi madre kicked me out when she found out where my income was coming from. I'd stay at people's houses, sleeping on sofas and on kitchen floors. People would always be coming in and out, bringing drugs and taking them. I'd get woken up with a kick in the head and the older homies would give me drugs and force me to take them. They'd laugh as they watched a twelve year old kid tripping out on whatever they could find, I was their guinea pig." "I was young, and I was getting respect and money. I felt like I'm something bigger. People were praising me. I knew what I was doing was wrong, and I wanted to stop. But when I stopped - that's when the violence started. The other boys attacked me, and I joined a gang - a group really. Because I had seen some horrific things I had a high capacity for violence, I moved up the ranks quickly. I would rob everybody. Any person that I saw I would rob. I was getting into fights all the time. I couldn't go two days without fighting."

  19. I'm sure if you spent a bit of time playing GTA W you saw that some photos that your friends take of your character don't look right. For example... This ugly fella. Kill it right? Well he should actually look like this... Well...still ugly, bit less... and more done with life. (He's friendly, I promise...) So! How did I fix it that my character looks the same to me and people around me? A friend of mine helped me out ( @NoemiVic ) and it worked. So follow these easy steps and see if it works! 1. Go to a plastic surgery place. 2. Don't use this menu! As I tried to fix my face with this one and It didn't work. ? 3. Use the command /surgery When you see this pop up, start typing out the attributes from your character, that you got from the UCP. So! The trick is that you set the numbers in order AND if you have some attributes that are set to 100 or -100 it won't sync and mess up your face for other people, same with 0's. You want to set it up that it's not 100 but 95, not -100 but -95 and not 0 but 1 or -1. This is how my attributes look. As you see no 100's, -100's or 0's. It worked for me, so please test it out and comment if it helped you out. Maybe you won't need to do /hat on every second when meeting a new player! ?

  20. Wah Ching Founded in the 1960s in San Francisco, the Wah Ching (華青) gang is a Chinese American criminal organization and street gang known as “Dub C” or “Insane Dragons”. They have been involved in many crimes ranging from gambling, racketeering, narcotics sales, prostitution, murder and more. The Wah Ching gang’s influence spread to Los Santos after numerous conflicts with other Triad gangs in San Francisco’s Chinatowns and Chinese communities forced some of its influential members to move and set up elsewhere. The Wah Ching gang splits into numerous factions known as “sides” and is overseen by a chapter leader. The gang was founded by four different sides: Sonny-Side 23, Ken-Side 23, Paul-Side 23, and Taiwanese-Side 23. Other influential Wah Ching sides include Broker Park-Side 23, Ocean-Side 23 and Flip-Side 23, with Flip-Side being the Filipino faction noted as being influential in forming the close relationship between the Wah Ching and Bloods. Broker Park-Side 23 Broker Park-Side 23 (BP-23) was founded after a divide in the Paul-Side 23 caused some of its members to split away from the gang and move to form the Broker Park-Side. They are notorious for their active participation in narcotics sales and shootings. Though the Wah Ching gang is considered to be less territorial when compared to other street gangs, Broker Park-Side claims the three blocks that lie between the Los Santos Freeway to the west, Glory Way to the east, Mirror Park Boulevard to the north and Bridge Street to the south in East Vinewood. They have a very active presence in the Broker Park that lies on Bridge Street. The Broker Park-Side, like other Wah Ching sides, follow a traditional Triad structure. They are led by a Dragon Head who is assisted by a Deputy Dragon Head, a Vanguard and an Incense Master. They oversee the gang’s White Paper Fans (administrators) and Red Poles (enforcers/captains) who are the front of the gang’s operations. The Red Poles have their own 49ers (members) and Blue Lanterns (uninitiated members). Gang History The Wah Ching was founded by immigrants fleeing communist China from Hong Kong and Taiwan during the 1960s and originally formed as a political activist group that opposed the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) of mainland China. Over time, the Wah Ching developed as a street gang with Tong affiliations and received its first widespread media attention after a massacre at a restaurant in 1977 perpetrated by another Chinese American street gang, the Joe Boys (JBS). The Joe Boys targeted the Wah Ching after members of the Wah Ching vandalized graves of Joe Boys members. The event took place in San Francisco’s Chinatown and saw 5 killed and 11 injured, all of whom were innocent bystanders. The massacre resulted in the arrests of 5 Joe Boys gang members. The Wah Ching retaliated after the shooting by killing several members of the Joe Boys gang. Former leader of the Wah Ching, Danny “Ah Pai” Wong, was shot and killed by hitmen acting on behalf of the Wo Hop To (WHT). The killing resulted in the Wah Ching working with the Wo Hop To. The Wah Ching’s influence gradually expanded to Los Santos where today the gang recruits members from various backgrounds. Although Wah Ching translates to “Chinese Youth”, the gang consists of many Vietnamese, Japanese and Filipino youths who claim Wah Ching. Relations Asian Boyz (ABZ) and Vietnamese Boyz (VBZ) are the two main long lasting rivals of the Wah Ching gang which has led to numerous bloody conflicts between the three. “Summer Madness” was a period where numerous shootouts occurred between Asian Boyz and the Wah Ching which resulted in the deaths of 42 gang members on both sides during the late 1990s. The Wah Ching is allied with the 14K Triad, Bloods and several other Triad gangs and Tongs including the Bamboo Union and Hop Sing Tong. Influences & Activities The Wah Ching gang participates in a wide range of criminal activities and has an influence on many different markets in Los Santos and overseas as well. Some sides of the Wah Ching focus on legal fronts for making money whilst others explore illegal avenues such as drug dealings, gambling, prostitution, extortion and human trafficking. The Wah Ching gang is massively involved with the trafficking and distribution of Opioid drugs, primarily heroin, and as a result has held a large stranglehold on this market of drugs. However, the Triad gang avoids dealing heroin with its locals and instead looks to distribute it away from its communities. Ambitions The ambition with this faction is to develop a realistic Wah Ching side using the history of the real life Wah Ching operations in Los Angeles as a foundation. We are putting a lot of emphasis into both sides of the Wah Ching; the street gang side and the organized elements, to ensure that we are getting the most out of the gang and providing a fun, enjoyable experience for everyone that is part of the faction. We will be taking our time with developing our characters and the faction as a whole, being sure to enjoy every step of progression. This includes individual advancement through ranks in the faction. If you are looking to join a faction to get guns and shoot people, this is not the faction for you. If you are interested in joining our faction, it is highly advised that you join our Discord. We have numerous guides in place for creating and developing a character with us, how to approach the gang, as well as a channel where you can ask questions. We will be more than happy to provide you with resources and guidance. We don’t expect everybody joining the faction to be fully knowledgeable with Triad gangs, but we will respect and appreciate anybody who shows ambition and puts research in. Discord: https://discord.gg/Dmsz6uP Faction Membership Clauses By joining this faction as a Blue Lantern (uninitiated member) or above, you agree to be CK’d if it is deemed necessary and is granted by the faction’s leadership. Similarly, faction leadership may choose to remove your character from the faction if it is believed that your roleplay is not in line with our goals and ambitions or if you are felt to be portraying the faction negatively. 22. There is truth in the OP but perhaps it wasn't explained properly. I believe(?) the OP is referring to the fact that role-players within law enforcement factions value the OOC standing within said faction more than they value the character that actually holds the position. This stems from said law enforcement factions being run like a real organization where progression seems organic instead of focusing on the IC aspect of what the hierarchy means, and the OOC meritocracy and capacity of a member to ascend to a particular position. There are players from all walks of role-play who do that, so this isn't a law enforcement role-player concern. It's most visible in law enforcement factions because of how layered they are to an outsider. The same thing happens in an LCN faction where someone keeps recycling the same concept of... West Coast mobsters... if you guys want to get picky. This is an honest opinion from someone who runs a segment that is meant to filter specific police role-players and determine, on an IC basis, if a character promotes to a supervisor position, and on an OOC basis, if the role-player behind that character is fit to portray a sergeant, lieutenant, etc. Characters are infinitely important. The model we follow in the Sheriff's Department concerns OOC meritocracy and IC politics, and it was put forward by Bospy. In summary, it expresses how any member, no matter of position, can bring suggestions/concerns/discussions to the table and they will be treated equally. This happens — recent SD structure changes are the result of someone who just role-plays a detective. All suggestions are taken into consideration for as long as they have merit. We are consistent in expressing how members are equal, regardless of the rank your character holds. On an IC basis, characters cannot become sergeants, lieutenants, captains unless the character holding that position is fit to hold said position. Not just because they been there, done that and bought the t-shirt, but because they have the proper development and IC connections to raise to that level: be it by being a power broker, a sketchy quid pro quo individual, questionable morals, corruption, what have you. There is a whole process dedicated for someone who enrolls into trying to become a supervisor to explain what steps they have taken in role-playing individuals in this regard, despite just simply knowing they have those credentials because you've role-played with them before. The IC dynamic instates that characters who want to progress need to get there through IC means: politicking. The OOC dynamic instates that it doesn't matter how long you've been in the faction (past a probationary period where you are either trusted or not to role-play police in the first place), but how qualitative you are in portraying such a character whilst also possessing the OOC skills to run functional divisions, do administrative work necessary for the faction's operations, and so on. Sure, people's characters come to an end where they can no longer be cops. Cop role-players want to role-play cops so they'll just namechange to role-play cops. You're here to have fun and if you have fun by role-playing a cop, then role-play a cop. Now replace "cop" with "mobster", "gangbanger" and any other role-play avenue you can think of and make a conscious realization that you cannot expect someone to use their own free time in what you want. Rest assured, quality control is there.

Sunday evening in Los Santos is not without it's carnage or gang on gang action, and Sunday's night was no exception as a car rammed through a populated garage in Little Bighorn at around 23:00, ramming down anyone in its path. The failed vehicle to stop to lights and sirens, so a vehicle pursuit was conducted from Occupation Ave, at this time, it was around 21:40 roughly. From here, the driver drove South towards the Strawberry Area, continuing to be extremely reckless while in pursuit., The driver of the vehicle hit multiple vehicles on the way, and as-well, crashed into a Officer's vehicle that was responding to the pursuit, in which an injury occurred. From here, the driver went North onto the Los Santos Freeway, and then turned back around South. When it came back around South, it connected onto Little Bighorn Ave, in which the suspect vehicle continued straight on into the mechanic dealership. In which point, we had multiple injuries on scene, including the deceased driver. The Los Santos Fire Department assisted the Police Department, in which we considered a mass casualty incident" - Sergeant B. Vano Jamestown is no exception to violence, and had it's fair share of incidents on Sunday, including a SWAT operation following a distress call from a Police Officer, according to PD Media Relations. LSNN was on scene beforehand documenting the story. LSPD secure the area, following a deadly shooting "Earlier in the day, I'd say around an hour ago at this point - Officers were in the area of Jamestown Street, when an Officer needs Help call came out. Officers were patrolling in the area, when shots rang out from multiple shooters within the area. As Officers tried to suppress a shooter, they ended up running into a house, barricading themselves. Negations took place, in which the suspect did not want to budge at all. At this point, our Special Weapons and Tactics Team, commonly known as SWAT, SWAT did an entry, and now one one suspect in custody." - Sergeant B. Vano, Media Relations Division SWAT member on the roof, keeping point over a subject. lsnn.gta.world
