A Quick Guide to /bad and Emojis! So I've noticed that quite a few people are not entirely familiar with the advertising system and specifically the business advertisements (/bad), as well as what emojis can be used in advertisements. Hopefully, this guide will help clear any confusion and will provide you with all the emojis that work in-game! So let's start off with setting up the /bad. There's three steps to doing this before you can use the /bad: 1 - /badname [name of your business] ===> For example: /badname The Pint Shop 2 - /badblip [pill / dot / bar / music / stripclub / gun / star / cup / vehicle / garage / jewelry / toolstore] ===> For example: /badblip bar 3 - /badtext [Text] ===> For example: /badtext Join us tonight for The Pint Shop's GRAND OPENING | 9 PM | Location: Grapeseed [GPS] Once you have finished those three steps, all you need to do whenever you want to throw up the advertisement is /bad. This will create a blip on the map for your business which lasts for 30 minutes (The duration can't be changed). You can reset any of the three variables if you wish to do so by using the same commands. For example, if you were using (/badblip bar) at first and then wanted to switch the blip to a star, you can simply do (/badblip star) and it'll switch the blip the next time you use /bad. Now, you may see cool emojis in some advertisements and wonder how you can get them yourself: The way to do this is simple: Firstly, you need to search for the emoji that you want on Google and copy it from there or from the list below: https://gyazo.com/e7972304209bdc1b2bc589ca2a9d2ff1 Secondly, paste the emoji into your advertisement in the in-game chat (This is very important!!! I fuck with SD big time, got a bunch of great RPers in here and generally loved every encounter with them, keep the good shit up.

Short description: Bring more players, and therefore more RP to the rural areas of LS such as Grapeseed, Sandy Shores and Paleto Bay. Detailed description: We all know that probably 75% of RP currently occurs in LS, through the form of nightclubs and other events like car meets and such. Whilst Blaine County is experiencing a massive growth in players over the past couple of months (due to some factions being shut down, not throwing any names out there), I think this can be further progressed through the addition of some very small changes. Blaine County, and the characters within it, hold massive RP value on this server due to the complete contrast from, and I hate to use the term, mallrats. I think the main issue with Blaine County is how remote it is, and therefore how little services are available. For example, two very small stores that do however hold a massive weight, are phone stores and plastic surgery stores. There are two/three of each in LS but not a single one north of the border. Adding one or two of these to Sandy Shores/Grapeseed would not only be a massive convenience to the player base already situated there, but also make it more appealing to people who don't want to have to keep making trips (I'm assuming Grapeseed out-of-state and therefore a hefty drive in RP sense. One someone might not make just to purchase a phone IRL). I understand there may not be any lore-friendly stores to use as such, like there are for phone stores in LS - however I think the whole player-base would agree that we can over-look what it might say above a store if it means we don't have to travel all the way down to LS for a phone/nose-job. My second part to this suggestion, would be to add a new spawnpoint, licencing agency and rental car company in Paleto Bay. This is the complete polar opposite of the map, and people joining the server shouldn't have to be forced to spawn in south LS. The licencing agency could probably be within the Sheriff's office currently at Paleto bay, and the spawn points/rental car places could be up to admin discretion. This part of the suggestion is not my main focus, however I do think it would help in bringing a lot of new players to the other side of town. More housing would also be good, but I assume PM are already working on that. I believe with the rise in players in Blaine County, this would also give the Sheriff's department more to do to discourage them from travelling down to LS to support the LSPD. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? It would discourage the standard 'mallrat' bar scene RP, and encourage more players to partake in the rural type of RP that a lot of people are missing out on. It would also make it a hell of a lot easier for people already residing in Blaine County. Additional information: With regards to housing, spawn points, phone and plastic surgery stores, rental companies and licencing agencies - I have not put in the necessary work to locate available locations for these but if the admins deem this suggestion worthy, then I will happily do my best to source these for you. Short description: Add a timelimit before you lose your job after crashes. Detailed description: As a new player, one thing i have noticed straight away doing the Garbage job is if like me you fill up the truck and were unfortunate enough to crash to desktop or get logged out, the job you're on is cancelled and you can no longer enter the garbage truck. This happened to me and i was left stranded because my car was back at the garbage hq and my full cart could not be handed in, losing the money that would have provided. Could a limit be added to allow time for players to log back in and continue there journey or finish there route? I think this only applies to sidejobs as main jobs stay. The limit could be like 10 minites or whatever admins see appropriate. Commands to add: - Items to add: - How would your suggestion improve the server? It will give players a second chance to finish the job if they lost connection for unforseen circumstances or even if they had to temporarily log out. Additional information:

All the people on this shitting on the guy need to get a reality check, because guess what - to emulate reality is not the aim of this game. It's a game, albeit a roleplaying one, where you portray a character. Sure, there's a strong degree of realism, but I sure as hell didn't join so I could play some boring "real"-to-the-letter fuck who may as well be some side character in an utterly uninteresting B-grade movie. I played so I could roleplay the big black hitman who is past his prime, the Jewish gambling addict with debts to pay and an ever-growing eccentric personality. And if this guy wants to play John Marston, I say let him. It's all fantasy fulfilment anyhow.

Reality hurts, sorry dude. We're RP-ing a lore type California deal, and I'm 100% sure there's no cowboys with revolvers going around about their business.

The people who dedicate the most time to it - who often happen to be leaders of the community and roleplay - must believe it to be deep because they dedicate an astronomical amount of their life to it, and that justifies this. To the majority, it's a fun escape. I don't think you should plan your entire character before you create it. The best progression, the most excitement, comes naturally.

Players should be able to pick up others when they get put into BW by melee weapons (fist, bats, brass knuckles). Players should be able to walk up to another player and do /helpup ID after two minutes or so after the player gets knocked down. It'll help stop the flood of "I need a revive" reports that admins are complaining about.

All houses are already spawned, as for furniture unfortunately if it's not added players will just sell whatever they did and we'll lose all the nice and creative interiors that were done. Interiors created by players are a great asset to the server and shouldn't be lost.
