  1. Detailed Description The original request here was in reference to allowing taxi meters to be added to private vehicles via a garage or some similar option, if you had a valid taxi license. It also encompassed a number of vehicle requests/suggestions that would be valid for the line of work. Given the fact we're now on 1.1, it would make sense to consider some more of these. In fact there's a Los Santos taxi pack now on GTA5 mods that carries a great many lore vehicles with plenty of company liveries/signage (linked here). In updating this to properly match the template, I'm also asking for an overhaul to the taxi script itself. The last update, was that which added request numbers to the taxi system, adding to the difficulty of people who don't have active loggers/autohotkey to grab up fares. It seems to me that a distance-based or time-based dispatch system would be best. One which would first alert the closest taxi, the other which would send an alert in reverse order of who's most recently taken a job or been /paytaxi'd. There was, at one point, more control going to be leveled over the vehicles themselves, too. At one point there was discussion (alongside a dispatch system on these sort of basis) to allow manual control of the roof lights, which would be a great boon to show available/unavailable taxis. In addition to the above, I'd like to reiterate the original request for the use of standard vehicles. If you look at any major city in America, there are companies that work as 'taxi services' which use town cars or SUVs to get people around at slightly higher rate of fares. The closest we can get to something like that right now is to deck out a Victor in black, because every other taxi vehicle's base liveries are decked out with bordered letters. It would be interesting to see even taxi-fied versions of better base game vehicles, with fare functionality + a taxi certification/license sticker slapped on. Hell, there's a car in the game you can slap a taxi sign on the top of, but cannot be used as a cab. (Weeny Dynasty) Also worth addressing, albeit briefly, is the taxi meter bug, which to my knowledge still persists and ruins the ability to accurately measure cost/distance. Relevant Commands/Items The majority of the commands are there already. The main issue is allowing a better system for their use, in particular one that functions properly and gives everybody a fair shake. As for new commands, I'd ask for /rlight as a toggle for the roof light (or a basic hotkey/menu button), and commands associated with the furnishing of a vehicle with a taxi meter, if considerable. How will it benefit the server? I can't speak to the economy in the taxi world right now, it's been a little bit since I've done it. But I miss it greatly. The fact that it's still dealing with the same script issues, however, is what keeps me from considering going back. Well, that and the robberies. But that's an IC issue. Anyway, it would overhaul transportation RP in the server, and allow transport firms to expand themselves more fluidly. Further it would give taxi renters and generally people across the RP subset to have a better chance at RP itself, and enjoying themselves throughout. PS - This is an edited/updated post.   2. I have been roleplaying in that server for some good time, met a lot of people and RPed in some factions but this one? I roleplayed in that faction for two weeks or can be more for a little but I had the most fun in that faction and I know that it'll never go anywhere anytime soon and it'll always be on top. @VindusKeep this going, no matter what bro. And also anyone that be roleplaying around in that faction too. Thanks for whoever I roleplayed with and it's time to spend time on life and if it's able to come back anytime soon? Expect me back.

  4. Short description: A selection of lore-friendly low-medium range cars, motorbikes and vans. Detailed description: Okay so we all know that when cars are added to the server, a lot of the time they're of the higher end. But it would be nice to see more low-medium range cars added. So I've spent the time to look at multiple possibilities that I feel would make nice additions to the server and create more variety for players. This is purely a list for MODS, not base game cars to be added. I know a few will say "no, add base game cars instead of more mods" but for whatever reason, they haven't done that as of yet. SUV and Pickups Vapid Contender (Replacement) - So this mod replaces the current Contender which, if I'm honest is overpriced for what it offers and there are near enough little to no modifications that can be added to it. I have not personally looked at each and every one of these cars in game, due to the time that this has gone up, but I'm more than happy to check them out myself, with other players or the modding team to determine whether they are of good quality.

  5. Short description: Overhaul the fishing job Detailed description: Right, so to rehaul it. Commercial fishing is most commonly done with nets, and equipment etc, but we'll stick with nets to be simple. So why don't we introduce it? Just like the courier job, to go fishing as a fisherman, you need a boat. Either you buy it yourself, or you work for a company which has boats! So, how would this work? Well, first we'd have to move the fishing locations. Or, perhaps even keep the casual fishing in the game, as a novelty. And just add this system to docks around the map as jobs. It would work by you entering the job, and getting in a boat. You'd go out in the sea, and there'd be different parts of the map that depending on the time of day, the weather, etc, or just randomized, would contain different amounts, and quality of fish. If you didn't catch any fish 500 meters out from the LS dock, you could go a bit more towards the Pacific Bluffs, and boom, you catch fish, etc. It would have to be balanced to make about the same as any other job, and have limitations depending on the boat you buy, just like the courier job. The fish would have to be actual items, so you could have a weight to them. (I know there are fish items, they just gotta be balanced.) So, if you got a tugboat, you'd be hauling maximum. If you had a smaller, cheaper boat, not so much. It'd be like this as a progression system for newer players. To operate as a fisherman, you'd use a net, to cast the net, you'd use let's say a command called "/castnet" or something like that. The chat would prompt you to when the net had alot of fish in it, and at that point you'd "reel" or "collect" it with a corresponding command. (Example: /reelnet), it would net you an amount of fish, and then you'd do it again, perhaps in a different location. Value of fish would have to be decreased though. Maybe you'd also have to BUY the fishing equipment. And a commercial fishing license. Commands to add: /castnet, /reelnet, /fisherman (for the job location), could keep the /sellfish command, and just modify it to properly sell ALL the fish on the boat, once you're at the selling point. Items to add: n/a? maybe a few new fish items???? How would your suggestion improve the server? Another job, since fishing as it is right now, is not really viable. Additional information: I do not know much about fishing.

  14. Just a note: we've had a bunch of people show up at the camp looking to role-play with us, which is totally fine but I think people are getting the wrong idea. You're walking into a cultist community, you must expect some resistance. And please, please, please - stop showing up in sports cars. Your lowered sports car cannot make it up that hill - and it's really killing the vibe we're going for up here. Anyone is welcome to come along - just please be considerate to our role-play ?

  17. Feature Showcase: Forensic Firearm Investigation Introduction Forensic Firearm Investigation is a new system that aims to give a fresh and realistic look at Firearms. The key objectives are to give immersion to various Crime Scenes and boost detective/investigative type of roleplay. New additions that this update include are Spent Cartridges/Shell Casings and an Investigation Lab. Shell Casings / Spent Cartridges Upon firing a weapon you will now notice that a spent cartridge is left behind. If you are near one (or more) you can press Y which brings up an interaction menu that lists you the closest shell casings to your position. Upon choosing one from the list you are greeted with a couple of options. You can choose to either examine (1) it or pick it up (2). Examining a Shell Casing (1) If you choose to examine a Shell Casing, a message sent to you revealing some details regarding this specific Spent Cartridge. There are two pieces of information which would be of interest to you. Those are the Temperature and the Condition of the casing. The temperature value starts from around 370°C (~700°F) and drop down to environment temperature (which you get via /weather) at a decreasing rate. The whole process takes around 5 minutes which gives you a nice window to time events and so forth. On the other hand, there are four (4) different levels of condition. A shell casing can be Trashed, Severely damaged, Good or Excellent which is internally randomized whenever a round is fired thus a casing is dropped onto the ground and plays a huge role in the examination part of the system which is covered later down below. Picking one up (2) Dropped Shell Casings have a "lifetime" of two hours, they get automatically deleted if no-one picks them up within that window and are not stored in the database. They can be picked up anyone and is suggested that you do if you wish to avoid the Law's attention. Trying to use one (via /useitem) will display the condition, the cartridge type but not the temperature. Trying to use one as a LEO gives you an extra field called Label in which you can populate with some text and as you can see, it is now considered an Evidence Bag. It is expected that you roleplay picking and bagging them up when you do so. The Lab The Forensic Laboratory is a facility where Shell Casings are brought to for Analysis. By entering the premises and pressing Y, once again you are greeted with an interaction menu. Preliminary Examination Most notable at this point is the "Turn In Shell Casings" option. Upon selection, it runs a process that goes through your inventory items and extracts all the shell casings out of it. The Lab Personnel would then proceed and run a preliminary examination for each of the casings that you've just brought in that determines whether or not an Evidence Bag will be kept for further examination and long term storage. For a Shell Casing to be stored and be further examined, it needs to have a satisfactory condition and the cartridge must have been fired from a non-police-issued firearm. The second constraint is straight forward but as for the condition it goes as following: If a Shell Casing's condition is label as Trashed then it instantly gets discarded. If it is labeled as Severely damaged then there is around 75% chance to be discarded. If it is labeled either Good or Excellent then it is kept for further examination and long term storage. The Evidence Bags that are kept, they are assigned an ID and can be previewed using the /casing command or using the Mobile Data Computer. MDC Shell Casings Evidence Bags The Command Explanation option displays you a short help text related to the /casing command, the command functions are also explained in detail within this thread further down below. The Help Page option directs you to this page. Further Examination After a Shell Casing (effectively an Evidence Bag by now) finally goes through the submitting process the Lab immediately starts examining the Spent Cartridge for unique striations and markings. This process effectively takes ~40 minutes for a Shell Casing to complete. Keep in mind that the quality of the casing influences both the time needed to yield results and the amount of Evidence Bags/Casings needed in order to get a positive match. After the examination the Evidence Bag becomes available for checking/matching against seized weapons or Serial IDs. Effectively it comes down to a routine where everyone collects evidence, labels them and passes them onto the Lab for processing. Then when a weapon is seized from a suspect that in turn gets passed onto the Lab to match against all the processed casings and see if there's any matches. Here are two examples, one of a positive match and the opposite. If there are more than 10 casings relating to a specific firearm then you are prompted with expand option. The expand option would list the evidence bags like this Command For simplicity, all "commands" related to this system all fall under one command in a form of a tree. You can see the various "sub-options" and their corresponding actions below. Extra An additional /examinecasings command has been added to address the issue where there are multiple interactable dropped objects around you along with the casings while pressing the Y button to interact with them. The mentioned command works uniquely with the shell casings and brings up only the appropriate menu.

Gruppe 6, a company that has been shrouded within controversy after controversy ranging from the Chief Executive Officer being arrested, to a number of employees being arrested, and now onto the latest controversy, a civil suit accusing them of neglegence and battery. It simply doesn't end, it's always something that causes controversy. In a Freedom of Information request, the LSPD revealed that Austin Kern was arrested for Felony FB 204. Battery yesterday at 14:49. The person(s) in question are Austin Kern, a G6 employee who was arrested yesterday for violently assaulting a San Chianski 24/7 worker who was attempting to report on duty and it's alleged he was violently grabbed from behind and forced outside to be held against his will. Per CCTV footage that has been reviewed by LSN staff, Kern knew that the employee worked there and repeatedly refused to let him work, due to his injuries and reportedly slapped the employee across the face. According to court documents that have been filed, the plaintiff is accusing G6 of negligence, battery and false imprisonment. PACER users can track the case online or at the Davis Court House during normal working hours (9 - 5) The Plaintiff, Yoska Makula provided this statement to LSN. LSN has on multiple occasions reached out to G6 Security for a official comment, but our calls was met with silence.
