  1. My fellow players, After the great success of replacing the Rental Asterope with a Rental Asbo, it dawned on me that the hippies of Los Santos were in uproar. The carbon footprint we’re emitting is reaching unacceptable levels and the Blistas are costing the company a bomb from how many they’ve had to replace! So the executives up top knew what to buy. Two birds with one environmentally friendly stone. The Dilettante. The hybrid to make everything better. Yeah so tl;dr Hybrid Rentals instead of the Blista. Let’s keep this hype train going for the betterment of all roleplay.

  5. Unpopular opinion: People preoccupied with policing how other people roleplay are typically projecting their own insecurities about their own roleplay onto others because they are afraid of being called out for their own roleplay, so they preemptively attack others instead. Facebook IRL is stuffed with stupid shit all around, Facebrowser isn't any different. I'd argue it's better to just let them do their thing and ignore them, it doesn't effect you or anyone anyway. If someone is offering legitimate feedback about your character with the intention to help you you'll easily identify that, as opposed to someone just trying to get confirmation about their own perceived supremacy. Not directed to you specifically, but you should never let other people playing a game ruin it for you. If people get genuinely frustrated or bothered by a post on Facebrowser I'd argue they seriously need to reevaluate their priorities in life.

  7. Short description: A script, which allows players to acquire and posses a specific item in which they can write. Detailed description: Blank notebooks and books which players can acquire by purchase and upon possession can write in their notepad book or any other similar item. Whenever they need to write something down they can use the commands mentioned below which would open a simple text box or something similar, depending of the item they are using. Upon usage they could write whatever they wished into their item and save it for later usage. Commands to add: /notepad /book Items to add: Books ; Notepads or any similar items in which players can write. How would your suggestion improve the server? Upon feeling the need, people can write something down they might forget and need to recall further on. This can vary anything from names, food recipes to statements collected by the police. As in real life it's up to the person itself what they wish to write in their possessed notebook or any similar item. It would make it much easier for individuals to collect information they need without having to use anything not in-game or in-character. Everything can be simplified by possessing a simple and easy to use item. Additional information: N/A

  8. Gravedwellers (MC) leader arrested in East Vinewood stop Los Santos, SA (October 29, 2019) - submitted by HELM The leader and several members of the Gravedwellers Motorcycle Club were recently arrested following a traffic stop carried out by the Los Santos Police Department. Fortunately, the department's K9 unit happened to provide reasonable suspicion for a terry frisk on the members which led to charges of carrying an unlicensed firearm. Vincent Meadows is the president of the Los Santos chapter of the Gravedwellers MC, a close-knitted 1%ER motorcycle club who have only recently claimed the entire State of San Andreas. He is the only remaining original founder of the outlaw club. Trent Harper is the road captain of the Los Santos chapter of the Gravedwellers MC, the two bikers have reportedly been charged with carrying an unlicensed firearm. The club is currently under active investigation by the Police Department. The police department has carried out a raid on Tudor Autos and the neighbouring buildings, several bags of marijuana were seized in the bust. However, the outlaw motorcycle club have contested and filed a lawsuit against the police department for an unlawful search, given that the warrant was produced for Tudor Autos and not its neighbouring properties. Gravedwellers presence made clear in "Dogtown" Los Santos, SA (June 18, 2019) - submitted by HELM Following the burning of the Gravedwellers' clubhouse in El Burro, taking place only eleven months ago, the "outlaw motorcycle gang", as the media describes them due to their violent acts, has been reported to have set their sights on Vespucci grounds, in which they refer to as "Dogtown". The Gravedwellers have been demonstrating their presence in the city lately, they are commonly labelled as "stains in the city." The outlaw group have been reported to cause disturbances during barbecues, drunken nights and their obnoxiously loud motorcycles. Parkway Customs was reported to have shut down and collapsed due to the financial issues that derived from, allegedly, heavy extortion carried out by the outlaw group. Although a few of their "patch-holders" were employed in the automotive business, it would be no surprise for the Gravedwellers to have infiltrated the business for monetary benefits and enforce their legal agenda, as such has already occurred in the past. Despite their outlandish behaviour, many describe the group as "a good time overall". Not more than a few days ago, the group was seen assisting a family involved in a vehicular breakdown in the Hawick area, according to our bystander. They have been contributing to the community through charity runs, campaigns and general assistance to residents. However, there is no doubt they can be quite the burden to the city. State of outlaw motorcycle club unknown Los Santos, SA (December 26, 2018) - submitted by HELM The Gravedwellers have demonstrated their ruthless behaviour in the previous months, ranging from large-scale brawls to acts of violence involving shootings and knife attacks against rival club members. Such events have captured the public and media's attention. The outlaw motorcycle club has shown no signs of presence in Los Santos following Scott Haines' death, identified as the charter's President. Haines' death took place during a brutal shootout with the police. Detective Erin Morgan was also identified as a casualty. Their garage however, Parkway Customs, located next to the Los Santos International Airport, seems to be running by unaffiliated mechanics. Trails of the Gravedwellers have yet to be traced in the city of Los Santos. Los Santos Motorcycle Club expecting clubhouse renovations Los Santos, SA (June 29, 2018) - submitted by HELM El Burro based outlaw motorcycle club “Gravedwellers” are believed to be expecting changes to their home. The building was originally used as the headquarters for a car junkyard that belonged to the same club, locals claim that the building is used as a front for illegal business, however solid evidence has yet to come, as the group have been seen wandering the streets of Vespucci. The Gravedwellers' existence in Los Santos goes often unrecognized by the citizens, possibly due to their more "underground" work in the past couple of days. However, the biker scene isn’t unfamiliar with the bunch, as back in 2008 we have previously covered a major brawl going off between several motorcycle clubs at the annual “Bike Fest” in Liberty City, one of the MC’s involved being none other than the Gravedwellers themselves.

  9. The neighborhood of Chamberlain Hills has been home to violent street gangs since the early ’40s. Originally a middle-class white neighborhood, with the influx of African Americans and Hispanics to the area the demographics of the area quickly changed. A good dozen amount of gangs sprung up in the area claiming their territories with graffiti and fighting in parking lots, alleyways, and in the streets of Chamberlain. One such gang that sprung up during the ’50s was Los Lobos or simply the Wolves. It was started by a group of males who simply meant to protect their homes and the people that lived in the area. The Wolves were predominantly Hispanic although they allowed non-Hispanics to join their ranks. This allowed the gang to control its area and able to stand toe to toe with much larger gangs out of the area such as the Forum Boys, an African American gang that would eventually become a crip clique. A veteran to the gang warfare Gerald “Pops” Jackson recalls the violence from the neighborhood: “You had all kinds of fighting going on in Chamberlain Hills or uh C-Hills as people from the area liked to call it you know hehe. Things got outta hand I remember being with my wife one day on Carson Avenue where everyone would go and hang out, get a bite to eat you know whatever. Boys from my side of town were hanging out where normally the brown boys, the uh Wolves hung out it was a lot over by one of their streets. We were all smoking and drinking this was around the evening so you know we shouldn’t have been there but haha we were there. Suddenly, and when I mean suddenly it was SUDDEN a bunch of them brown boys and gals too were rushing us with bats, bottles, one of the girls she had like uh uh uh what you call them thangs that be on the cars. An exhaust pipe yeah yeah she had a dang ole pipe and clocked me upside my head with it. I’m thinking “shit I gots to get the fuck outta here or she might kill me” nobody died but people were hurt and some kid who had nothing to do with neither of us got injured. It was crazy back then y’all, was crazy”. During the 70’s the gangs of Chamberlain Hills had become increasingly more violent and Los Lobos had stepped up its game with the purchase of illegal firearms. The war with its rivals grew more dangerous as murders started to be committed with both sides feeling the loss. One of the first murders documented in this escalated war was when Gerald Jackson's friend Anthony Robinson who they called “Lil baddy” was killed by Los Lobos member Jorge “Buckshot” Zelaya. The story goes that Zelaya had been harassed by Jackson days before the shooting. Jackson had not only disrespected Zelaya's girlfriend but he had also disrespected Zelaya's gang, Los Lobos. Gerald Jackson’s comments on respect: “Nah see here, you cannot go around doing that. Disrespect in this world, especially when we talking bout these young niggas out here nowadays they will kill ya for just talking bad about they gang you can’t do that. It’s a deathwish. A certain deathwish as we found out with ole Lil Baddy's case”. Zelaya was arrested and charged with murder nights later by the local police of the Chamberlain Hills area. Police found it surprising that Zelaya had admitted to his crime with little to no remorse. Los Lobos at that moment of the murder were partly shocked because no one from the gang had committed such an act of violence. The gang was proud in turn for what Zelaya had done and was quick to follow its example. A former gang member, who wishes to have his identity concealed, told the crew about the time after Zelaya had shot the rival. “People were armed to the teeth man, hiding guns all over the neighborhood in shacks, in people’s yard. I remember as a kid I had found a twenty-two caliber handgun just lying under in a bush. Los Lobos stepped up the violence and Chamberlain Hills started becoming a very dangerous place. Every gang started arming themselves and if you were in the wrong part of the neighborhood you wouldn't make it home. There was no going home if you got caught by rivals without getting jumped, beat down, humiliated, or shot and killed”. Chamberlain Hills had become a living nightmare for residents and with the coming of the crack epidemic, the violence only worsens as gangs battled for drug turf and their reputation. Los Lobos had survived decades of gang warfare with little police disturbances but during the late ’80s and early ’90s started facing trouble. Rivals of the gang had cliqued up together and started forming larger and more deadly gangs that numbered Los Lobos 3 to 1. It was at this time that Los Lobos aligned itself with the growing Crooked Vigilantes gang that had been blooming out of this time period. The gang started to claim and show its loyalty to the number 13 and for this, they received assistance in the war against their rivals from other Sureno gangs that flew under the banner. MODERN TIMES: Today the gang refers to itself as the Chamberlain Varrio Tortilla Flats (CVTF). The gang is small in numbers but what it lacks in numbers it makes for in criminal activity & violence where Los Lobos had always established its reputation from. Like many Sureno gang, CVTF has members of not just Mexican origin. They have a range of different Central American nationalities and even Caucasians have been noted to be able to join the gang’s ranks.

  10. I always just laugh when characters that are supposed to be American start talking about rugby shit and British stuff in general, we don't talk about that shit nor do the majority of us have any care for it, everything else I don't really mind. IRL events are IRL events, it's only natural people meme about it or talk about it depending on how their character reacts to it (or they react to it if they're not a good RPer and cant separate themselves from their char) The only real issue I have personally tho is when you see people literally oocly posting on FB, whether posts or comment sections. I get it if it's like ((This is supposed to be that!)) to describe something, sure I'll let that slide but when someone posts smth another person doesn't like and they comment some shit like "lol where u get that, menyoo?" icly it's just as bad as people unironically using mallrat in IC chat when it's an ooc term from a whole nother server lmao it's just wack and shows me that they're not here to actually RP and/or have very low standards of RP.

  12. Short description: A bottom mounted camera for helicopters and planes. Detailed description: I'm part of the Air Support Division currently in the LSPD. We are able to follow pursuits and track pretty well however when it comes to the use of our camera, we can only see out of the front FPS window which is usually blocked by the console and window frames. Also the floor.. What I suggest is that we somehow tinker with the current camera system we have but maybe have it so that when you do /cam in a helicopter or plane, the view attaches to the BOTTOM of the vehicle, not inside. Most models we have currently have a bottom mounted camera, even civilian versions so this wouldn't just be for LSPD but for media companies and the general public too. I'd rather have a whole new camera command just for planes and helicopters but just modifying the camera we have would do the trick I feel. Commands to add: /acam /aircam /cam (Keeping as is) Items to add: No items needed. How would your suggestion improve the server?: This would add a bit more realism to the helicopters and planes we have and would give a lot more immersion to things like the LSPD, media companies and the general public who just want to snap lovely photos from above. 13. As an outsider to this sort of RP, I've noticed through screenshots and reports that every now and then that /me's end up containing phrases or descriptions using Slang or words associated with gang culture. I get that you're enjoying your character and you might find it immersive, but doesn't it make it harder for people to work out your actions or lead to issues when people are trying to RP with you? I remember a report a couple of weeks ago which ended up being mistaken identity because when he asked why the person shot him they responded with pretty much "Mandem got gatted blud no ting haha OwO xD" and so they reported them, but it turned out they were just messing around. This is me just being curious I guess. I'm not interested in that side of the server when I do play and this is 'General discussion' so...Why do it? I understand your character talking like that, but why make your actions harder to read when it's just that, explaining an action?

I know plenty of people connected with gangs in LA that RP on GTA. It's a way of escaping from the fucked up environment that they live in.

  16. AUTHOR: SHANNON BERNSTEIN 2 MIN READ LOS SANTOS, San Andreas — The Chair of the Conservative Party of San Andreas, Wilhelm Huber, has announced his resignation earlier tonight, dealing a blow to hopes of demonstrating unity in the face of the threat from the Republicans and the Democrats. He has been forced to step aside after internal discussion showed party officials actively favouring a shift in leadership to new hands for a better chance at achieving social and economic conservative values. “I have made the realization that in order for those to whom I may have caused pain and who need to heal, for my own health, and in the best interest of the Party that I love and to which I have dedicated myself for years, it is in everyone’s best interest for me to resign my position as Chair of the Conservative Party,” said Huber, 35. Internally, the resignation may reduce tensions. Nevertheless, the turmoil risks undermining public attempts to show that the Conservatives are standing on unstable ground and the requirement to fix its internal fracturing caused by this sudden announcement. It will also raise new questions about the source leading to Huber’s resignation, which had emerged spontaneously tonight. Earlier, Isaac Disraeli, the Party’s Treasurer stated: “I think he should resign, period.” “I don’t think he is qualified to be the Chair of the Party,” he added. “We need a party that reaches out to working people and young people. And I don’t think his leadership style, nor the values he possesses does that.” With this said, it is believed that with the resignation of Huber, Hartmann and Disraeli will take the reigns for now until the party decides to make a more formal announcement regarding its plans and ambitions to move forward in the near future. ### Topics Conservative SA Politics / News / 2020 SEC / Wilhelm Huber / Executive Committee

  22. It's a difficult one to try put into words. Facebrowser is the GTA:World equivalent of Facebook. Considering we're based off LA times, LA weather, It wouldn't surprise me if we based our primary news source as LA news. It's hard to constitute what is exactly classed as OOC mixing as surely everything on FB at this point would be classified as mixing. What I'm trying to get at is that we're trying to enforce a realistic website that allows characters to cooperate with one another, meet new people, post whatever (with the regulations in place) - and speak freely. On the other hand, I am aware sometimes it goes a step TOO far and you have one of two options: Report the post Send the post to a FB moderator Leading onto a separate point, the "e-thots" or "thots" whatever you want to call them have a right to utilise the website just like every single one of us, how they utilise their account is up to them. The website, I agree, do have a, let's say a different player base and it's very upfront with people showing off their body - don't be bothered by it, just scroll past it. Facebrowser becomes a toxic place if you're intentionally hating on someone's post of let's say in Lingerie. (I'm not saying that you shouldn't this is just my opinion, if you've developed to be cold, rude, whatever, or just opinionated (however you roleplay your character) just keep in mind it causes some sort of tension, like everywhere.) Facebrowser is a fantastic platform to allow people who aren't currently in-game to talk to people, work in businesses, auction cars, find a house, etc - it's a platform you must use correctly because there will come a time where it'll become so toxic they'll simply remove it - not saying that'll happen any time soon, I just could see it happening. As aforementioned, I don't think it'd be classed as mixing if you discuss LA news or just US news as we base our entire immersion on LA. I think we should keep in mind that despite Facebrowser being an IC platform there will be politics within it, news, toxicity and so on, but you don't need to contribute to it, you can simply ignore it (I'm sure lots of people suggest ignoring it) but it's one thing you could do, also, you need to keep in mind that everything posted upon the platform is completely IC - you need to consider how your character would respond not how YOU would respond if that makes sense. I think everyone's made clear and valid points but you can complain about it all you like, if you're not working on it or reporting it what use is that to us? Complaining about it may bring admins to regulate FB more often, but it won't weed out those who do mix, you know? So TL;DR: People have the right to use FB however they want Mixing with the news is fine to a degree Mixing with OOC hatred should be reported (( EDIT: You should also bare in mind some people who RP on this server aren't full adults, nor as mature as a 25-year-old, I'll use myself for an example, some people aren't 21+ and they may act childish, but then again that's put upon them. It's not really an excuse people can use, but it is something to keep in mind. )) This isn't necessarily true, I don't know anyone (I RP with) throwing hate at anyone with OOC reasons too - that's a prime example of genuine mixing if you're involving ooc interest to let's say sabotage the other character then yes, I would argue this is mixing and should be regulated. On the other hand, you can't exactly moderate all 101 people who sit on FB all day, there'll be the odd few and you do need to keep in mind if they're doing that you should simply direct it in the way of an admin, or report the post alone.

  25. What we should be talking about is people insulting each other and trolling OOCly through an IC platform such as FB, it makes absolutely no sense for an adult to behave like a teenager, or just insult or troll because OOC has a problem with that user, it doesn't matter if their character is 30 or 40 years old, if he is a serial killer, he belongs to a mafia or a businessman, they use FB and behave like kids, totally meaningless.

  26. Greetings everyone! As the title may suggest, I will be showing you a method you can use to replace physical vehicle models into just about any vehicle model you may find on GTA5-Mods. Before we proceed, you'll be needing the following: Have everything? Awesome, let's jump right into it. 1. First and foremost, you're gonna obviously wanna pick the vehicle mods you want to add. For instance I will be picking this BMW and in-turn I'll be replacing it with the "oracle." (If you're having trouble finding the vehicle name to replace by filename, you can either find it through OpenIV via files OR through RageMP's wiki here.) 2. After picking your vehicle mod or mod(s) go ahead and place them anywhere from now and sit them aside. THEN rename them to the vehicle(s) you've decided to replace them with. (I obviously had the name changed to "oracle") NOTE: This DOES work with ANY DLC vehicle. 3. Open up OpenIV and navigate to "select folder" then from there you'll look for the dlc pack folder which you've recently downloaded. Hit the "select folder" button once you've selected the folder. 4. Navigate all the way to "vehicles.rpf" then click on it... 5. Drag your vehicle files inside "vehicles.rpf" 6. Click on the "gta5" folder and drag the "vehicles.rpf" file anywhere for now. 7. Drag the "vehicles.rpf" file on "ArchiveFix" and you should see this... 8. Remove the "vehicles.rpf" from OpenIV (Also don't forget to go in edit mode) and add the new "vehicles.rpf" then exit OpenIV after adding it. 9. Like the "vehicles.rpf" from step 7, drag the dlc.rpf from the "vanilla_vehicles" folder, onto ArchiveFix. 10. Exit ArchiveFix, drag "vanilla_vehicles" in dlcpacks within the server's IP folder and you're set! The vehicle mod should show.
