  3. Her name is Lynx or u hrvatskom "Ris", even though stupid piece of paper, called "passport" stated Inna Radich. She was born in Croatian coastal town of Split on 10th of July 99. Her father Ratko was officer of Hrvatska kopnena vojska and her mother Ana is cybernetics scientist in University of Zagreb. She was expected to follow the steps of her mother, as she showed perfect results at the school. Inna even won her school mathematics and physics Olympic games for three consecutive years. But, as her mother said, Inna was swapped for the Lynx at the high school, right after her dad stupidly died in a bar brawl, leaving her when she needed him the most . Her grades went to decline, she wasn't attending the school, spend her time hitchhiking, drinking and generally living the real life of a free spirit . With grate effort Ana managed to secure the place in University of Zagreb for her daughter, but Lynx dropped it in the first semester. Which made Ana really upset and disappointed. After big and emotional fight Lynx just packed her stuff and booked the flight to Los Santos- as far as possible from home. Lynx being impulsive and totally plan-less person, of course, didn't prepared for the trip - all she got was one bag with clothes and laptop. Once she arrived to Los Santos first hand she went to the closest beach, which turned out to be in Vespucci. Totally new vibe, different smells, different faces and speech - she was just sitting there enjoying the moment and falling in love with the place. Lynx spent the night sleeping on the beach and in the morning she serf the net for a place to rent in Vespucci and also for no brainer job - IT consultant in Magnolia Records. Someone could see it as surprisingly lucky chain of events, but for Lynx it was usual flow- no plans, no preparations, just pure leap of faith. 4. General Information- Name: Aurelio Gutierrez Date of Birth: 06-27-1985 Place of Birth: Davis Community Hospital, Davis Gender: Male Ethnicity: Hispanic Status: In a relationship Face Claim: Juan Pablo Raba *More face pictures in the spoiler* *The title to each part is a song link. Music is a combination of Baldacci The Beast and Misfit Soto* Part I: A Seed Needs The Water, For It Grows Out Of The Ground Aurelio Gutierrez was born on June 27th, 1985, an only child born to Emiliano and Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez. He grew up in poor Rancho, his father a roofer and his mother a stay at home wife. He lived through the heavy gang wars of the early ’90s that plagued the city, saw the riots as a child. During his childhood, the African American gangs were large in number and terrorized the Hispanics. As they started to dwindle in power, and the Hispanics were rising in both number and power, Aurelio took notice, seeing the older kids in the neighborhood getting money. More importantly, they were giving back to the community. They were paying peoples rent, buying their groceries and keeping them loyal to the neighborhood and everyone in it. His parents were extremely religious, attending mass every day. So growing up, Aurelio had a deep knowledge of faith, charity, and devotion. He went to public school, excelling in academics, and soccer. But he always noticed the figures in the barrio. Part II: You Don’t Need An Invitation, You On The Guest List The turning point for him came when he was around 10 years old, a car came through one night spraying houses on his block. A little girl was killed while she slept in her bed, the bullet coming through the window and hitting her. It was Aurelio’s friend and love interest, Veronica. The next day, he showed up on the block with the gangsters, eyes still red with tears from the night before. They welcomed him in with open arms, comforting him and telling him it was gonna be alright. Over the next few years, he became ingrained with the set from his street, Dutch London Trece, taking to heart the words of his OG, Lino. He was tutored on loyalty, respect, and charity, things that rang to him from the church. At 13, he was jumped into the gang, trying to fight off four men in their late teens as they swarmed him. Try as he might, he was easily overtaken by the adults but it didn’t deter him from fighting back, never falling, and constantly swinging through the 13 second beating. He saw his life looking up as he was welcomed into the gang as a member of the family after that. He went under the wing of Lino immediately, riding everywhere with him, and learning how to rep South Side. Lino took a special interest in Aurelio, mainly because that Aurelio mourned was Lino’s little sister. He took him everywhere, teaching him the politics of the gangs in the city. Aurelio picked it up quickly and got a reputation as excelling at being a South Sider, earning the nickname “Goldie”, since what he touched seemed to turn to gold. By the time he was 16, he was selling drugs, a fixture in the barrio. People knew they could come to him if they needed anything. But he wasn’t greedy with his money. Following the teachings of his mentor Lino, he was giving away as much money as he was making, taking enough to be able to get by. New clothes for the kids who didn’t have any, putting food on the table for people who were without, it was a daily thing for him, and he garnered respect from the Dutch London Trece set. In the midst of all this, he found another love. Her name was Ingrid Escamilla. He met her at a party and was instantly enamored with everything about her. He showered her in gifts and attention whenever he could, and soon they were together, young and in love. On her 19th birthday, he presented her with a ring, wanting to be with her forever, he asked for her to marry him. She said yes, but all of that was about to come to a screeching halt. Part III: I Chose The Concrete Jungle Where The Drama Don’t Stop Always one to be on the lookout for deals that were too good to be true, he was blinded by the fact that everything was going so well for him. He missed the signs and fell into a trap. Some guys from Hills were selling some much needed cocaine. Feeling invincible and untouchable, he came up with a plan to rob the kids. He showed up to the deal with no money, but an empty bag full of phone books. When they presented the drugs, his crew pulled their guns and commenced with the robbery. What was unbeknownst to them was, the guys from the Hills were undercover cops. A SWAT team descended on them, taking them into custody. The judge threw the book at him. Slapped Goldie with armed robbery, and possession with intent to distribute. Two days after his twentieth birthday, a cold cell in Bolingbroke closed behind him as he started a 12 year sentence. Inside, he saw a lot of his friends from the streets. They quickly scooped him up and gave him the rundown on the lay of the land inside. He learned about how beef on the Southside between the Mexican sets were squashed when they came in because there were new enemies and new people in charge. He quickly cliqued up with the Southern Mexicans on the main line, riding with the car, falling in line with them. During one conflict with the Northerners, he got noticed for his actions, fending off a pair of Northern Mexicans on the yard as they tried to attack him. He got his revenge on the two, quickly finding them in the following weeks and dispensing his own brand of prison justice. The reports from the prison indicate that Romero Dominguez was stabbed 42 times in his cell and Salvador Lima was stabbed 38 times. While he was suspected of the stabbings, no conclusive evidence was ever gathered against him. However due to his uncooperative nature, and given he was a suspect in the two slayings he was moved off the main line and into the Secure Housing Unit. He was cut off from the rest of his race, living alone in a cell 23 hours a day. The warden of Bolingbroke put forth an initiative after pressure from the state and allowed convicts inside the SHU to continue their education and be entitled to reading literature from the prison library. It was there that Goldie found his insatiable appetite for reading and knowledge. He finished his GED and began taking college correspondence courses sponsored by the prison. It was also there amongst the books and the knowledge that he received the word. La eMe took notice and was watching. It was also during this time that the letters from Ingrid stopped writing him. He never expected her to wait for him, but he always had hoped, and the realization of all this nearly drove him crazy. He spent 5 years of his sentence in the SHU, being released back on to the main line after for what the staff considered exemplary behavior by an inmate. He never caused trouble for them, was never loud and generally did what he was told. Back on the yard, now 8 years into his sentence he was approached and tutored by Marcos Silva, a member of The Mexican Mafia. He learned the tricks of being a member and was soon inducted into the ranks, given the keys to Yard B. His job was to keep the Southern Mexicans in that yard in line and to pass orders from the Generals to capable people to carry them out, and he did so with a surgeon’s precision. Part IV: Guess I’m Waitin’ For You Now To Come And Save My Soul Knowing his time for release was coming, he got told he’d still be expected to put in work on the outside. And his job was going to be collecting taxes on drug sales. January 15th, the doors to Bolingbroke opened and Goldie stepped out through the gate of the prison with a hundred dollars and bus ticket back to the city. He found himself back in his old stomping grounds in the barrio of Jamestown, his old set long gone. The lookouts quickly descended on him, wanting to know who he was, and he ran the paces, his name quickly spread. He took up residence on Jamestown Street in his old neighborhood. Part V: Mexicano By Nature, I’m Livin’ Outta Zone Well intertwined with the local set on Jamestown Street, he started taking a vested interest in the people who live there. He started looking after them, buying them all dinner every night and treating them like family, as they’d done to him. He’s even found a love interest in his old neighborhood, a woman who understands him. Part VI: Not A Day Goes By That I Ain't Askin Why Goldie, in an effort to make some money to open a business to help bring some happiness to his neighborhood, started working out of town. He'd generally be gone for three to five days at a time doing his work. On his return one March evening he was shocked to find that while he was away, that the love of his life Valentina had taken her own life. The news broke him. The demons of his own doubt he'd been keeping at bay slowly took hold of him. For months, he drank himself to sleep every night. He found himself calling out for Valentina in the night, having nightmares about her blaming him for letting this happen to her. The shame of not being able to save her haunts him even to this day. He was a mess, becoming a shell of his former self on the inside, but trying to maintain his stoic, fatherly demeanor on the outside. He started using cocaine to bring himself up from his depression, and bring himself back down with the alcohol when he felt like he was too high. It ravaged his mind. He saw shadows of Valentina everywhere he went, heard her voice on the wind. It nearly drove him insane. He thought he was doing a good job at hiding this fact until he was on a bender one night around a year and a half later. He didn't hear the door open, as Avila crept into his house. She listened to him ramble on in the darkness about how he'd wished it was him that went. As he was passing out, he felt a wash of ice water hit him, bringing him back to life, followed by a flurry of slaps from her. Thinking at first it was Valentina he panicked, begged her to stop, and kept apologizing for failing her. That whole night Avila sat with him while he was in the bathtub. She kept him alive, telling him "Please do not do this to yourself, or me. The familia needs you.". She dumped out all of his cocaine, raiding through his house and finding his stash spots. She poured all of his liquor down the drain, and for a while, she took care of him, repeating the words he gave her when Jumper was away in prison, "No Bad Days.". She nursed him back to health. His embarrassment of losing Valentina was eclipsed by the notion that the woman he treated like his daughter saw him in the hole he was in. Over time he learned it was okay to be sad. He feared moving on without her like she would think less of him for it. Over time he learned he could function without her. With the help of everyone in Jamestown, he rose back to his own former self, a mark of personal glory. Now, years later he finds himself sober and clean once again. To Be Continued

  5. It's incredibly hard for anything unique to get any attention. I like to think my horse racing business is a unique concept, as it involves an interactive game for people to roleplay around. However, people roleplaying Americans would rather gamble at random blackjack tables in clubs or bet on European sports games that no American would ever have an interest in paying attention to.

  7. Short description: Add a search bar to the furniture system Detailed description: Just add a bar to search for items in the furniture system. The categories are a mess and there are too many to look through. Half the objects inside the categories don't even relate to the title of the said category. I've placed a fire extinguisher before but now I can't even figure out what category it's in. If I could just search through all objects I wouldn't have to spend an hour to find a specific one. Commands to add: N/A Items to add:N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? It would make the furniture system 1000 times easier to use and would cause me and many other people less headaches. Additional information:N/A

  10. I've long supported the option for players to work part time as EMTs and Firefighters, on various servers. As OP states it's very unappealing to play an EMT/Firefighter full time. On top of this, there are COUNTLESS real world civilians and LEOs that work part time as EMTs or volunteer firefighters. Fullest support for this. Absolutely consider making part time First Responder work an option. It wouldn't be super hard - i'd suggest adding a Job option with a much, much higher cool down time than other jobs. (IE if you pick to be a part time EMT/Firefighter you'll be locked into that choice for say...7 days? To prevent folks from abusing it and fast-swapping for convenience.)

  11. I'm just as fucked up as they say Navigating through fading memories. Lynx diary. [Sept'18] - Annoying Police Since I got to the blessed-leader-of-free-world-country-blah-blah, I constantly being abused by the police when I did nothing wrong, being treated as shit when I help them and being ignored when I actually need them. Did I mention that they didn't find the fuckwit who shot me and another one that tried to rob me? Anyways, time to protest those oppressive nazis! And again! And again! Mining Business Yeah-yeah, I know. Another coin, another startup, another weirdo trying to catch the leaving train. But what if ? Hellyeah! Startup or not, cryptodude honoured the deal and with fat checks from Magnolia I finally bought my very own place at Vespucci Beach. I even had some bucks left, which (of course) I spent right away. Why? Because, fuck you! When your friends are crazier than you Turns out, my suburb name is Thiefpucci Bitch. Some wanker just stole my car, but Lynx got eyes and memory to remember you, wanker, cruising around on your car. And guess what? I got friends too. Badass friends! [Feb'19] - Moving into Weirdo Bay So yeah, after I sold my cozy little place in Thiefpucci Bitch to cover the mess I created back in October, I had to find something and something was fucking Weirdoleto Bay. I just finished moving my stuff in and then this dickhead showed up What the actual fuck!? Took my phone and dumped me on the road kilometers away from Weirdo Bay!!! Had to walk to hardware store to call 911. Fuck-shit-fuck! Next day after kidnapping Went to police and guess what? They even didn't start to work on my case! FFS!!! Alright-alright, be cool Lyn. Remember Dad assembling and cleaning his pistol almost every day? He looked relaxed and ease- shouldn't be difficult to handle it. It's just a noisy piece of metal, right? I heard they got a shooting range here. Better take "adult" ID with me though, lol.

  12. I keep repeating myself to some extent here, but I'd like to think that I've played my part in trying to provide a unique business idea with my tattoo shop. Back when I first joined the server and tried figuring out how to bring my idea to life, I got told several times by both players and staff members at the time that I was just wasting my time, and that most of the server wouldn't care nor have any interest in visiting. But I decided to create my business anyways, because I was curious as well. Curious if it would work or not. During that time, I've gone through stages where I've dealt with leasing fees, tried out entry fees (which I've happily refunded if people didn't have money on them, for example), gone through stages where I've spent more on ads than I've made through my business, and eventually finally reaching a point where I own my business, got script support and feel like I'm comfortable bringing in more people to cover more time zones. So I believe that I have a bit of experience when it comes to this now, and it's been a bit of a interesting road so far. I feel like I've proven to the rest of the server that it's possible to provide this sort of roleplay, with some dedication involved. And that there is an interest in it from the server population as well. It's still a niche, but it's a been a enjoyable experience to provide that type of roleplay for that particular group of players interested. That being said, I can definitely see where you're coming from. I would love to see more creative businesses as well, and I absolutely appreciate and share the sentiment that you're mentioning in your first post. If people want more unique concepts brought to the server, then people need to support those concepts when they become more than just an idea as well.

  13. I'm very aware of this problem, and it's why I've been working on what I've been working on from a development perspective. If you look through what sort of interiors we have currently, it gives you a good indicator of our current situation. There's been a lack of variety and choice for what interior you can pick for several months: in terms of "public facing" businesses (so excluding things like offices, warehouses etc.), there's not many there to choose from: a handful of nightclubs and bars, and a few others like liquor stores, hairdressers and clothing stores, several of which have only got "proper support" recently. With the previous lack of a functional furniture system and a low amount of interiors available, it's lead to the vast majority of properties that we have requested to be mostly the same - we see a lot of nightclubs and bars requested, and most nights on the servers are the same situation - constant ads for nightclubs/bars/stripclubs, with other types of businesses being unlikely to crop up. It's been a problem in two key parts: 1) lack of access to diverse interiors & 2) lack of motivation to try out ideas that are different when it comes to properties. So, how does something like this get solved? Firstly, on the technical side of things we're pushing in several changes to open huge opportunity when it comes to interiors. I've just finished coding a feature today that allows us to spawn in Interior Props inside certain vanilla GTA 5 interiors. These aren't the same as furni objects, but rather items that are "physically attached" (unmovable) to some of the vanilla GTA 5 interiors. If you've noticed some of your interiors have missing sofas/beds/furniture by default, it's because the right Interior Props aren't spawned in. With this new system, players will have the ability to tweak and customise certain vanilla interiors, changing the variants/appearance of their properties. This will give us an increased variety to what we can do with interiors, and has some interesting potential implications for illegal RP that I'll be speaking to FM about in the coming days (nothing confirmed yet). Sneak peak of Interior Props system While Interior Props can bring extra variety, they can only bring so much. They'll definitely add some more options, and even though there'll be a decent amount of new interior possibilities, it's still a finite number of possibilities. Which leads to the next thing we're pushing for: mapping, and the introduction of more custom objects, enabling both players to get more creative with the businesses they want to create, and also allowing us to have a dedicated team aiming to create unique interiors to provide more variety to the server. We'll be looking to import more interiors to the server, some in the form of mods, and some tailor-made by the mapping team, which will then be distributed out to players (likely through leases). With both of these in mind, we're aiming for 1) more diverse interiors and 2) easy access to them, hopefully addressing the above problems. On top of this, we'll be pushing for continued improvements to RP jobs. Currently the payouts are low, we'll be adding ways for us to track earnings and then use this to improve payouts, and expand to new types of script stores (more information in the future). Roleplay jobs/businesses will become more attractive with more support, balance and types, which should hopefully lead to a wider variety of businesses opening up rather than just nightclub-bar-nightclub-bar-nightclub-bar. There'll be more information on this in the future, but I hope this helps address concerns about things being too samey. It's something we've wanted to tackle for a long time within Property Management, and the combination of the recent object fixes, the upcoming RAGE:MP patch for easier downloading of client mods (allowing for new objects), and the increased activity of the current Property team all coming around the same time have opened huge opportunity for us to make progress in this specific area.

  14. With the exception of people wanting to live in the poorer areas of LS (which should only be done by people RPing poorer characters, really, and those people should and usually do RP having less money as mentioned earlier) it's going to cost you 100k+ to get a place to live and 30-50k+ to get a decent car. That's most of the money gone already. I personally end up spending another 20k just on customization (tweaking stuff in the surgeon, buying outfits, buying tattoos, etc) with most new characters, at which point I'm left without much cash at all. The temporary 5k paychecks aren't a problem at all.

  15. Definitely agree. This has been a problem even back on SA-MP days to be honest. The thing is, I guess the unique roleplay, since it's not backed by the script, it doesn't attract people as much. Everything has to be roleplayed via the core of the script, such as talking in-character, using /me, /do and transferring money with /pay or /banktransfer. There's also no penalties. What I mean by that is: Let's take the Gaming & Tech Specialists idea for example. There are no scripted computers in-game which give you additional features. Neither is there a script to cause your phone to randomly stop working. If there was such a thing, hell yeah, Tech Stores would flourish. Because the script forces people to have to roleplay that aspect. But considering the script does not, I'm sure a lot of people think well why should I bother fixing a computer that's just fictitious in my mind, when I could be at the garage actually modifying my in-game vehicle? As long as it's not mandatory or something exciting such as mafia/gang related roleplay, being a cop, going to a bar because it's easy to roleplay your character getting pissed and so on, it's harder to get the community on board. And not only that, but unique roleplay tends to take more effort, especially to get it off the ground. And a lot of people I don't think are interested in the initial process. Most people want to just jump into the game, and have fun. Unless the idea is close to your heart or you're a serious roleplayer, you're not interested in devoting time to develop a unique roleplay idea. You just want to jump into something that's already active and exciting. For me, personally, I see both sides of it. But I welcome new ideas and I will always try to get involved. I only play casually when I have time, so I may not have time to devote to developing ideas, but I certainly try to take part. And I'm glad when new roleplay opportunities flourish. It brings more diversity to the server and presents more fun things to do than the same thing day in and day out.

  17. LSPD & LSFD AMBUSHED in Chamberlain Hills Published: 30th of January, 2019. The night of the 28th of January proved to be a calamitous time for emergency responders of the LSPD & LSFD. What begun as a standard vehicle pursuit ended in a mass shooting that tested both department's abilities. The pursuit led LSPD officers to the Crystal Heights complex on Forum Drive in Chamberlain Hills. The resulting arrest was interrupted by an unknown attacker who set a responding cruiser alight. Once the area was deemed secure the Fire Marshall's Office (FMO) was dispatched, with Fire Captain Jack Wolfsbane representing. Tactical and K-9 officers scour the Southern perimeter of the scene of the 28th on Forum Drive. According to police accounts the arson investigation was underway at 23:14 when bullets hailed down from the roofs above, Wolfsbane sustained fatal injuries while an accompanying LSPD Sergeant was struck in the arm. What followed was an unprecedented escalation to a "CODE 0" response. A CODE 0 requires all active officers to respond to the scene immediately regardless of their current status. Three shooters were contained in the Southern Chamberlain Hills area before the LSPD took them down. According to a later LSFD press release there were 6 victims afflicted with gunshot wounds and 2 victims. LSPD Officers sweeping the rooftops for shooters. With the area now on lock down and the LSPD on high alert; Any civilians within the cordon were either escorted out or questioned. A plain clothes officer was mistaken for a suspect and fired upon by a uniformed officer. At the time the officer was sequestered by an IA representative. Unfortunately the LSPD Detective died in the line of duty in what may be called a "blue on blue" shooting. An internal investigation headed by LSPD Internal Affairs will be determining the culpability of the uniformed officer. The LSPD have requested the detective's name to be withheld until their internal investigation has concluded. Captain Wolfsbane was later confirmed to have also died in the line of duty. A black SUV confronted by a LSPD tactical element for circling the area. The LSPD continue to extensively investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack, with our police source stating "we are determining suspects and the reason behind the attack". Tactical SWAT Insurgent moves down to the downsized Northern perimeter shortly before disbanding. Following this the basic units were dispersed past midnight and the cordon downsized. The tactical units were the very last to leave the scene minutes later. Tactical teams later cast a net over the area until approximately 6AM on the 29th. LSPD tactical officers confront another suspect in the early minutes of the scene. Police presence in the Chamberlain Hills and Davis areas have since stepped up. R&R spoke to a local resident with a deep-set Mexican accent who claimed he was harassed and had racial slurs thrown at him when detained. These claims were swiftly denied. Questions arise over potential gang activity in the predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, but are yet unfounded. LSFD Captain Jack Wolfsbane in ceremonial dress.
