  1. The long awaited property update is now in! How does it work, you may ask? Take a look at THIS for most of your questions answered. But, since I know lots have people who have come to me with questions already on how it will be run. Here, I will try to answer most of your commonly asked questions. 1. Okay, so how do I get started? I want to make money and involve myself in this roleplay. I want a thorough explanation. A. 1. You want to get into real estate? This is how you will get into it as a real estate agent and behave as a real estate agent. 2. You want to get on the construction side with your friends? 2. How do I acquire a business with this new update? Auctions are gone? A. Acquiring a business is much like acquiring a house now. You must meet with a Dynasty 8 Real Estate agent with your intentions of creating a business, where you want it, etc. This will be the process for acquiring the business. 3. How do interior changes work with this new system? How do I get a new interior? A. You may get a new interior via these steps. (Please note, this doesn't mean someone making a custom interior for you via the blank interior- This is simply for those whom want to change the interior of their house or business. If you want someone to decorate your house with furniture, that will be coming up in a following update, or you may advertise that you are looking for someone to decorate your property ICly. ) 4. Does this mean new areas of the map will be added? Do I have to get my houses and businesses through this system now? A. YES! We are now adding Vespucci with this new update. You will no longer be able to just go up to a house and /buyhouse like in an RPG game. You must be in contact with a real estate agent who will guide you through the process, and get you set up with the house, just like in real life. Just a bit more touch of realism, and plenty of opportunities to be had! This server strives for heavy/serious roleplay, and this is just one of the many things we have planned to bring you the absolute best experience that we can. Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have in THIS thread . Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. -Missi

  2. The announcement of the third official faction is going to be postponed. Faction Management decided that it's too early for the left unofficial factions to receive an official spot. Keep up the good effort, be active, be original and the spot might be yours soon.

  4. Isn't the yacht just like a bit of the map Rockstar put in? Not an actual boat you can use?

  5. While I think the idea comes from the right place, it's a no from me. Maltese did a good job highlighting some negative details. And it's not that the idea is totally bad, it's definitely got some benefits. But I think the fact it will make it extremely hard for players to report each other, and for admins to get to the bottom of who did what, outweighs the realism factor it could bring. Problem is even with ID numbers, what difference or immersion does that bring over the name-tag? It's still a block of text/numbers over a characters head. I just think this is an unnecessary change. Don't fix, what ain't broken. And for those of you suggesting OOC masks be brought back, that system was literally put in place to allow people to avoid role-play situations. There is zero benefit to them and they make no sense, want to hide your identity? Go put a real mask on.

  7. I'm not sure what your last paragraph is supposed to prove. My point is the IC mask at least makes it a role-play element, not an OOC one? And if you think the admin's don't check death logs or we're too lazy to, that's your problem and you're just poorly informed. In fact we do a lot of work, you know trying to fix actual broken systems. And I'm not sure how anybody can say you can recognize people in this game just like in real life, we're three dimensional graphic poly-models in this game lol. While on pen and paper this idea might sound good, the actual application would be a disaster, our avatars or whatever you want to call them already all look hellishly similar to each other because the GTA character creation is quiet poor, it's more about clothing items. Then we get into things like people getting reported because they killed somebody who they thought was someone else, and as an admin we're cross between what's fair and what's realistic. And all this will do is move people from using name-tags to MG, to taking SS's of people for later comparison. And yeah, reporting people via screenshots is an inefficient system, not that it can't be done, but it'd take us much longer to process reports in-game or on the forums. What happens when people start using the surgery place to change facial features and what not?
