He grew up like most kids of his age back then, playing outside or sitting by the windowsill and reading books borrowed from the public library. He got into trouble more often than not, but managed through a strange turn of luck to avoid the worst. After losing most of his friends to the penitentiary system he dedicated himself to getting out of poverty and out of the tiny apartment his parents and he, shared. The Younger Years His views and thoughts tempered by literature and learning, Silverio became an activist, fighting certain societal injustices with peaceful protest. He avoided the riots that marred his favourite neighborhood, always seeking to be the voice of peace and wisdom between opposing parties. His tongue, which along with his name earned him the nomer “Silver”, got him out of many a tough spot. Other times, however, he also got embroiled in certain eventful confrontations, for which he was never arrested, nor his name ever known. His view of authority and the world in general would change, however, when in 2001, terror hit his beloved city. The University Years The young man achieved what many would have thought improbable, given his poor background. He got a scholarship to the highly-coveted Vespucci University. For the next few years, he acquired his Bachelors and Master’s degree in Economics. The Years of Regret Recruited straight out of University he kept working on his PhD thesis while working in The Exchange for Ponze&Pharo as a broker and later, as an Asset Manager for clients. It was then, at around 2009 when the bubble burst, and the financial crisis began affecting him negatively. Though covered in a passing blanket of extremely high remunerations and bonuses, Silver’s world was shaken. Perhaps it was his background, growing up poor, or his Catholic-nurtured guilt, he saw, read, heard and felt all around him the pain and devastation his company’s, and his own, sins of profiteering brought upon the everyday people. That, along with the lack of punishment for his bosses and the whole of The Exchange, himself included, made him loathe his own existence. The Years of Atonement Silverio sold everything, his apartment in a high-rise of LC, most of his clothes and posessions, took the car his company had given him, and moved to the West Coast, to Los Santos. There, he lives his life somehow trying to atone for the sins of his recent past by helping. The fortune he had procured, and the money he made from selling off his livelihood, however, are a closely kept secret and where they currently lie noone knows but his parents.
