The Mazzanti Crime Family

The Mazzanti Crime Family was brought around by "Luca Mazzanti". The family was based in Los Santos, where "Luca" ran a Transfender auto body shop. He used this as his business, gave cheap deals to people that couldn't afford the extortionate prices of other auto body shops. This gave him a reputation as an honest salesperson and a businessman of the people. Luca had a son when he was 18, the son known by his full name "Joey". seeing as it was his family business Luca let Joey work as a technician, serving customers throughout the day he also shifted envelopes to other employee's that didn't work within the business but came in and out, unsure of what it meant. Business was good and it started to go well for the family.

After a few years, the income got significantly bigger and he jacked up the prices slightly. There were always customers in and out of the Transfender and it was heaving all of the time. They received outstanding reviews and continued to make progress. As Joey reached his eighteenth birthday, his father, Luca. Handed him a small shop down the road as an extension to his own. It was known as Mazzanti's Auto Body & Repair. and with his father's reputation, they still managed to get a heap of the customer's flood through inside to the business. Everybody thought the family was legit, owning multiple businesses and becoming the most known town folk for their food, but the business wasn't completely legit.

The family decided to shut up shop, recent competition around the city started to drown them out and Mazzanti didn't want to continue a business so many people started, the new age of the mafia had arrived and what comes with the new age; is new heads with idea's to make money.

The late years.

8 months passed and a Caporegime by the name of "Luchino Valentini" had a small time business with the "Pope" Brothers, Joseph and Eddie Pope. They ran a small-time construction business and quickly earned a good reputation for constructing buildings for the city. Unfortunately, the two brothers found themselves getting into trouble with drugs and street gangs. They were racking up the debt more than the cash the brought in. This threatened the business and soon the Pope brother's wrongs would be found out by the officials that look over and inspect the construction companies that operate in the city. Because of the income Luchino was bringing into the family, Mazzanti decided to take care of the Pope Brothers and become the CEO of the business, and hire Luchino and another Caporegime Arthur Baccalieri to run the construction company under a new name "Covington Engineering LTD" with both of them being full-time managers. This lead to a legal construction front that was officially registered under the government as a genuine business.

After year's of work the family secretly earned the name of "The West Coast Mob" being active at night and staying under the radar because of the illegal poker clubs, they were running. Unfortunately "The Mazzanti Crime Family" were involved with a RICO act due to the Consigliere "Stefano Benedetti" made a deal with the Federal Bureau of Investigation to take down the crime boss of the Mazzanti Crime Family "Luca Mazzanti" himself. He was found on charges of "Racketeering" with multiple different cases. The family was crippled but spread a new life in Los Santos letting the next in line, Underboss "Mario Ricci" step up to the plate to run the Mazzanti Crime Family. Being a new role model for Luca's son so hopefully one day he could step up to the podium himself but for now, the family was under the new rules of said boss, Then The West Coast Mob started their unique business ideas once again.

Stepping into the Modern Era

The first steps of Luchino's plan were simple, to step up to the plate as a Construction Firm owner and start earning for his family, bringing in money to the pocket of Mario Ricci to ensure the survival of the family. With the RICO act tearing apart the leadership that once held strong ideas; left Luchino, Arthur and Giovanni known as the newly made El Burro Heights Crew to fend for themselves, the only thing they had was the firm. It started off with the reputation Luchino built with P.O.P.E Industries, they started a few construction projects and after the first three initial jobs Luchino took the company by his grip and renamed it into "Covington Engineering LTD" This was the main step of their recently founded crew. And that decision is what started it all.

Covington Engineering wasn't any normal construction firm, they began gathering side materials and delivering them to their warehouse in the county, sorting out Refined Iron into a separate part of the warehouse. Luchino realized the legal front was just a front, he started dipping his toes back into the very water he grew his roots in, organized crime. The Burro Heights Crew began boosting cars when the sun dropped and the moon lifted, they took the cars to a local mechanic shop ran by "Noah Okonma" who was an African American male operating out of a small industrial garage hidden in the alleys of Cypress Flats, they started stripping down cars for parts and then loaded up the warehouse.

Whilst working and gathering up materials to expand into a small business of selling parts to mechanic garages that need them they bumped into a male called "Jebediah Graves" who was reaching out to the public trying to purchase parts for his garage. Fortunately, Luchino knew Jebediah from the garage he ran in Rancho, Atomic Garage. This is where something special happened, the first relation reached out from the Mob to a biker club known as "Gravedwellers MC" after a few weeks of exchanging materials with each other Luchino managed to meet the President of the MC, known as "Scott Haines" through the trust built up over the months of contact, Luchino offered to work together closely with Scott and the Gravedwellers MC and began offering employment to the Bikers on needed construction jobs, this built up trust between the two organizations and eventually they formed a slight truce. Helping each other out when they needed it to ensure the success of their business.

A Turn For The Worst

The established peace between the Gravedwellers and The Mazzanti Crime Family was at a strong point but it was tested by a problem that was breaking out in the Rancho area. "The Mongols MC" began causing issues for the Gravedwellers, engaging in fistfights and leading to Murder with firearms, this was bad for business, Luchino reached out to sort the problem but got caught out with the wrong people. An Associate known as Riccardo Marchesi was caught by The Mongols MC and was followed back to the yard of Covington Engineering, which lead to Luchino being noticed by the Mongols MC. This went as far south as south can go, leading to constant fights and constant threats to business and even exposing the construction business the crew were running, after weeks of back and forth Luchino decided to go down to the Baratas store to engage in a conversation but waited in the car park for Giovanni, Arthur, Ricardo and Giuseppe to arrive. The plan was simple, to try and settle things so their business could resume untouched, unfortunately members of the MC approached the car Luchino was in and started harassing him, the rest of the crew showed up and the two groups engaged in hostile conversation, leading one of the members of the MC to withdraw a Colt.45, it got tense and shots were exchanged, Riccardo Marchesi took a hit to his right shoulder and was rushed to hospital, two members of the Mongols MC were shot and killed with the others being injured from a variety of wounds. No arrests were made and there were no witnesses or statements to lead anyone into jail.

After the Baratas massacre, "Mario Ricci" reached out himself and hosted a sit down with the El Burro Heights Crew and discussed the future of the company, leading on the conversation to the issues the crew brought to the family, Luchino had to deal with the problem himself without any backfire onto the family or for Ricci to deal with the issue and then deal with the mistakes the crew made. Luchino took the route and responsibility to do it himself. Giovanni came up with an idea to create Molotov Cocktails and fabricated three bottles, they met up on the "30/09/2018" in an abandoned warehouse in Cypress Flats, they gathered two vehicles that were for sale at a local scrap yard for cheap and ripped the plates off. The group slowly closed on the Store where the Mongols were present, cruising up to the front as they lit the Molotov's and threw them, one landing on top of one of the members of the MC and the other flying straight through the window of the store, causing a huge explosion from an open gas line inside.

The Store blew up and hit the news articles the next morning, riddling Rancho with "The Los Santos Police Department" accidentally causing issues with the Mexican street gang down the road, no evidence was found on the scene leading to nothing. The benefit of such an attack left The Mazzanti Crime Family crushing The Mongols MC and forcing them to leave the town, this gave a good Impression to Gravedwellers MC and forged an unbreakable bond between two groups, forging the start of their crew.

Step Into The Future And The Past

A step into the past of The Mazzanti Crime Family is The Mirror Park Tavern, showed in a picture from the year 2000. The bar was used as a local gathering spot for the family, this is where they spent most of their evenings drowning their sorrows or celebrating the success of business, the bar was closed to heart and was owned by an Italian gentlemen known as "Christian Santarossa" Christian wasn't directly apart of the mob but more of an associate that wanted to stay out of the dark past that consumed his family in the earlier years of his life, he ran the bar and hosted regular events for the family to enjoy.

In the early stage of 2018, Christian Santarossa was involved in a major car accident involving a semi-truck. He was placed into an induced coma for 6 months, leaving The Tavern to be empty and out of business, Luchino took it personally as a friend and as a trusted agreement of becoming a made man in the mafia, taking responsibility of the Tavern for Christian, he began opening it regularly again and brought in a variety of customers, setting up pool events for people to practice and for people to understand and gain experience from so Valentini could finally host a pool tournament for the city, bringing attention to the Tavern once again and making it a bar that stands out from the others. The choice was a successful one.

After two months of Christian waking up from the coma, his memory was shot, he was weak and he realized that he couldn't carry on his family business until he was better, yet Christian took the choice of handing over the entire business to Luchino Valentini himself, letting Luchino take control of a promising legal front for the family, bringing in profits nearly equal to the construction industry that he runs as full-time employment. The bar is still open today and there are plans of changing the name to honor his friend Christian. Christian is still around and has been discharged from hospital but leaves his choice with his firm decision of giving the bar to Luchino, now from his previous career of being a registered state bar attorney he represents Luchino and any other employee he has in case of any issues or speed bumps they hit in the future.

The Rise And Power Of Luchino

Through everything that has happened, Luchino Valentini earned himself a name and earned himself the power of what backs the reputation of a man. Covington Engineering LTD was a huge success, raking in cash every week for the crew, splitting 30% of the shares with Mario Ricci, The Boss of The Mazzanti Crime Family. This was the main mafia success as it brought in the most and reformed the family's economy.

Unfortunately, "Joey Mazzanti" got himself involved deep with the debt of drug dealers in Chamberlain Hills. Joey Mazzanti after a course of months, buying Heroin from an urban street gang lead to his addiction to the substance. Through months on end of drug abuse and Joey being a no-show to the family left Mario Ricci to no choice but to cut ties with the son of the very mob boss who started the family. Because of the difficulty of the situation, Mario contacted Mister Mazzanti himself leaving the Father of Joey to give approval of the murder of his very own son, making him show up as the grim reaper in human form. This left Mario to make the call and Joey Mazzanti vanished off the face off the earth...With everything happening and the growth of the family, it means someone had to step up to the plate, luckily, now with Luchino opening up another business and taking it over from Christian Santarossa he was the proud owner of The Tavern and a successful businessman of Covington Engineering. Now with his toes wet in the cash he was called upon by Mario Ricci himself.

The meeting was set with Mario Ricci and unfortunately a proper sit down could not take place due to issues the family were facing from the authorities, yet in the end the attention died down. Mario Ricci took place as The Boss of The Mazzanti Crime Family and made the decision to give the chance of Luchino Valentini stepping up as the new "Underboss" of The Mazzanti Crime Family. Which inevitably left the position of the Capo for the El Burro Heights crew wide open, given the situation the family was facing, Valentini left it a few weeks before he made his decision. Calling a meeting with Mario and Luchino's right-hand man, Riccardo Marchesi, the meeting was set again, leading "Riccardo Marchessi" to become the new Caporegime of "The El Burro Heights Crew" This shifted the family into business, now more than ever; leaving the new Capo, Riccardo to step up to the plate and show the family the idea's he has to bring to the family.

Who We Are

The West Coast Mob is an American and Italian orientated American Mob currently lead by "The Mazzanti Crime Family" with it being situated in Los Santos. There has been recent activity within the Crime Family with investigations being lead by The Los Santos Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation into recent activities that relate and link back to the Family. These investigations breached into the family's hierarchy and crippled their activities letting the rest fend for themselves.

Covington Engineering is the biggest construction company in Los Santos which is run by an Italian family. It is lead by Luchino Valentini and Arthur; Luchino's father was an Italian architect and they both followed in his footsteps, Luchino being an architect and Arthur by a Constructional Engineer. The two have both backed themselves up with experience and have worked for other companies in the past but they have now stepped into their own limelight. The duo employs homeless or people with a low income or no income at all and bring them onboard for years worth of training, if for a high maintenance job then certain employee's are tested and then handpicked out to carry out the work for the company.

Covington Engineering's main focus is delivering maintenance and construction of properties at the right cost for the right time with the right people, we're all about our customers and our customer service aspect is what we value most, we've never missed a deadline and we've never overcharged. We're here to help as a business and we're here to help businesses strive.
