Forum Drive Hustler Crips

The Forum Drive Hustler Crips (FDHC) are primarily an African-American street gang on the West Side of Los Santos. The Forum Drive Hustler Crips originated in the early 1980’s, originally known as 107th Blocc. The group contained a majority of individuals who are willing to commit any crimes to show that they're down for the gang. The group is willing to slang illicit drugs, as well as taking a rival gang members life to prove to the older affiliates, in order to get initiated into the gang. The Forum Drive Hustler Crips function on the West Side of Strawberry, and reside in the Projects on the northern side of Davis.

Police Interrupt Revenge Cycle of Compton Gangs

January 16, 2007 l JOE NOTTINGHAM | Times Staff Writer

Strawberry — "Django Locc" Roberts was just 5 days short of his 18th birthday when several bullets ripped into his chest as he stood with some friends from school in Forum Drive on a recent Friday. Semi automatic handgun shots had been fired from a passing car, wounding two others in the group. But only Robert's succumbed to his injuries.

The following Monday night was the, and retaliation was the motive in the hearts of young affiliates from the east side of Strawberry.Twenty-Six year old, mother of two Lashounda Higgins was standing in a street-corner crowd near Carson Park, a few blocks north, when a gunman jumped from a slowing station-wagon and sprayed them with shotgun blasts. Higgins died instantly-- an apparently random target who happened to be standing in front of a house in Piru gang territory--and three others were wounded. Some of the ammunition from the blasts strayed into a nearby home and peppered the living room couch only inches from where a 12-year-old boy sat watching television.

"It's a complete surprise any of these kids reach the age of 21," said David Velasquez, a Los Angeles County deputy district attorney assigned to the hard-core-gang detail.

The Forum Drive Hustler Crips and the Lueders Park Piru had begun to war it seemed until Velasquez and Strawberry's police stepped between them. Last Thursday morning, on what would have been the birthday of Lashounda Higgins, a task force of 43 officers swept into the middle-class Forum Drive neighborhood and silently encircled eight houses and a bus used as a gang "crash pad." At 7:01 a.m., they began either knocking on doors or, in two cases, kicking them in.
