History:   Magnolia Records was founded by Raheme Bell, a local artist from the east side of Los SantosRaheme's older brother was killed when he was ten years old, after that took place raheme took to the streets trying to figure out who he was in life.  Growing up without parents and now the biggest role model he ever had is now dead (His older brother), raheme grew up trying to figure out who this thing called life had to offer.  At the age of twelve, raheme found a passion for music while growing up listening to old-school hip-hop.  He later starting raping in his local neighborhood with some of his friends, he often rapped about the harsh reality he witnessed first hand growing up.  Raheme was kicked out of school by the ninth grade as his music starting circulation around the school which talked about murder, drugs, and other illegal activity.  The school board decided to remove raheme from his current school and offered to send him to an alternative school two hours away from his city.  Raheme declined the offer to go to the alternative school so he started spending more time in the streets trying to perfect his craft as an artist.  As time flew by and raheme learned more and more about the music industry, he was offered a record deal from an out of town record label.  The labeled offered raheme half a million signing bonus to sign with the record label, raheme was broke at the time and only had ten dollars to his name but after considering the long-term end of things, he declined the offer and decided to open up his own record label.  Raheme named the company Magnolia Records, the name "Magnolia" was the name of the projects he was raised in with his brother Chris.  He figured the best way to keep his brother's legacy alive and to represent where he comes from would be to name his company from his childhood neighborhood.

In order for an artist to get signed, do they need some songs irl or can it be done purely through rp?

The faction looks good tho and I like the idea, good luck with this!

I appreciate it! Yes we don't require players to make rl music in order to get signed, we currently have 2 people (including myself) who make rl music for their character.  For those who don't make music, we match a rl artist with your character (of course with your permission) for rp.  I hope that answered your question!
