How to make a proper general discussion thread:
1.  Make sure what you are writing is understandable & logical.  Nobody wants to have a pointless discussion in that section.

2.  Make sure to know that what you are writing will be criticized by the community.

3.  Do not report people for giving input you don't agree with, unless they're saying something insulting.
4.  Make sure the topic is well thought out, not just how you feel from your own perspective.  Discuss things that will benefit the community, not your feelings.

5.  Be sure not to condescend, be sure to speak to the community members, not at the community members, in your general discussions.

What to expect:
1.  Expect feedback.

2.  Expect criticism.
3.  Expect people to disagree with you.
