Creating a GTA World related website

 

We understand that in some cases you would want your faction or business to eventually have its own website to operate, whether it is for IC information or OOC information/uses, and we know that it can highly contribute towards the development of your faction/business and highly encourage it.

 

If you are interested in having a gta.world subdomain, you can redeem it using your GTA World account's World Points here. (subdomains under gta.world are not necessarily official GTA World websites).

 

 

Guidelines & Rules

 

There are a few set guidelines/rules that you/your website needs to meet:

 

• Security
  • If you have a registration/login system on your website, you must make sure that all passwords are hashed using a recent and secured hashing algorithm and all user data is secured.
  • You must not design your website/web pages in a way that the user may think he is currently on an official GTA World website.
  • You must not collect, store or request the user for any personal information, including but not limited to: email addresses, telephone numbers, residence addresses without prior approval from GTA World management.
  • Your website must not include an authentication system that offers users to register without prior approval from GTA World management. You can request approval here.
     
• Data
  • All data related to GTA World official websites & services must be hosted on GTA World's servers.
  • You cannot use any scripts that pull data from any GTA World website unless it is done via GTA World API .
     
• In Character / Out of Character
  • The information on GTA World may be used to process IC information only if all parties agree to it, unless the website is an official GTA World website or service.
