Davis Mega Mall

In my opinion the Davis Hall needs to be reworked heavily, I'm not personally sure how limited the furnishing/mapping is for gta v but I'm not fond of it at all. I like the idea of having a mall on the server, but I do find the interior rather bland and that all the windows make a weird mirror image which should be fixed. It also has no color contrast, it's basically all white and too bright. There's also no markings above the doors to show what store is what inside, so I didn't even bother checking them out.

While viewing over the interior, it's just a bunch of doors with an escalator in the middle. It's not very creative. Not every store has to be an interior of where you must press Y to enter. For example, you can make a cafeteria, 24/7 or a clothing store in the main hallway that is visible as soon as you walk in, and that you can interact with to give the place a little bit of life. I get more life from a 24/7 store that you walk into, rather then this mall and that should not be the case.

Overall this mall is no where near being finished, needs a lot of work for it to be an attraction or a place that'll actually be used. I'd rather give you my honest opinion about it, so you can make it better for everyone. ❤️

Agree completely but the post said it's not near being completed

The interior does seem very bland, but as for businesses needing to be in different interiors, I think that's a necessity due to the script. Or best case scenario you'd be able to have a single business inside the interior of the mall itself. One other thing to take into account is the people lag. I have a medium sized casino which is very detailed and has between 1000 and 1100 objects and usually 1-2 people complain about lagging really badly each opening, I can only assume there are more lagging but don't bring it up. On an interior of that size, they could easily go to anywhere from 2000 to 3000 or more objects if they wanted to make it really detailed, but no doubt a lot of people would start having issues with lag. It's a bit of a balancing act that needs to be found in my opinion.

Sure, there needs to be consideration of the amount of objects. But in all honesty, so much more could have been done to add some color contrast while being mindful of the objects. With all due respect to those that made it, walking into the mall feels like a knock off palace that someone only half finished.

I just want to say that the mapping team got no notice of this mall being released. There were some more details added to bring the place to life. As for reflective glass and store signs, those things are not possible with the current mapping system. Hope you all enjoy it a little more now that there's been some detail added to the main mall area. There are still several stores that need to be mapped, so please be patient.

I do recommend checking out the stores that are mapped though! You just might enjoy them.

It was big mistake releasing it before it was finished. People were all hyped up to see a cool mall just to end up disappointed when they saw that it was barely furnished. At this point people won't bother as they already have a poor impression of it, unless people do some events or something like you'd see in a normal mall.
