springie Posted August 24, 2020 Share Posted August 24, 2020 London alone is a pretty varied area in terms of cultures, linguistic lines and pronounciation of words - whilst for a relatively small island nation(s) the UK is full of different people. Saying they are from London is one thing; but which part of London? What are they doing in America? You don’t need to to overboard using British slang. It’s pretty traditional and it will be hard for someone to try to use artificially. English in the US are more likely to adopt simplified English terms anyway Link to comment
