Suspect Arrested Following High Speed Pursuit

A high speed pursuit, which took place over multiple postcodes including Davis, Rancho, Mission Row, and Strawberry, ended at 2:25 am on Sunday when the suspect's vehicle was physically boxed in by LSPD. Approximately eight LSPD vehicles took part in the pursuit until the suspect vehicle, a silver Pfister Comet, spun out of control at the corner of Strawberry Ave and Adam's Apple Blvd. It was then that police vehicles surrounded the Comet, effectively preventing escape.

 

Using a megaphone, LSPD ordered the suspect to remove his keys and throw them on the ground before stepping from the car and kneeling with his hands behind his head. Weapons were trained on him until he was handcuffed and taken into custody. He was not treated for any injury at the scene.

 

The suspect kneels as police train their weapons on him.

 

The suspect's vehicle is towed.
