The end of a story, the start of another.

Cedric Nativel is born on the 24th day of January 1989. His dad is a Navy Pilot assigned to the Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia. His mother used to work as a cook on a French navy base (BAN Nîmes-Garons), where she met his dad during an exchange between the two countries. Nativel's mother followed Nativel's dad to the United States once the exchange was done, where she married him and gave birth to Cedric.

Cedric Nativel grew up in Norfolk, where he went to middle and high school. He was raised around the military life of his father and mother, which were both working on the base but had very different jobs. This whole environment grew into him a wish to serve and follow his parents' footsteps. During his young age and most of his adolescence, his mother would only tell him stories about her family, how it is in France and what she did there. Generally speaking, Cedric's childhood is stable and without any complications, he goes through school flawlessly and makes a good group of friends with which he would most of the time go enjoy the adolescent life in Virginia Beach.

By the time Cedric reaches college, he already had a few under the table jobs that he would occupy during the summers. Cedric goes to the University of Virginia to complete an Aerospace Engineering degree. Cedric begins a new life on the campus, he is far from home during the year and only goes back to his parents during the winter and summer vacations, which creates a distance between him and his family. During those four years, Cedric accumulates the small jobs, and therefore the money. He uses part of it during his last two summer vacations in University to go visit for the first time his mother's family in France. Cedric's attachment to his French origins makes him learn the language of his mother (french), which he barely heard her use as a child.

Tragically, in his fourth year of University, Cedric loses his dad during a training exercise. This death breaks apart his heart and family. Nativel's mother, that never settled in too well in Norfolk, decides to sell the house and use the money to return to her family in France. However, Cedric is given the choice by his mother and decides to stay in the US, but throws away his wish to enlist. For a good year he accumulates the small jobs, in great grief, and unable to find anything with his degree. Some day Cedric comes across an ad on the internet, it's the LSPD recruiting. This ad, unexpected as it is, relives in him a wish to serve and be useful to the community. He applies and forgets about it. After a month, against all odds, Cedric gets invited for Academy to which he goes with no hesitation. He uses the money he had accumulated to make the move.

Now at the age of 31, Cedric Nativel is well settled in the department and has reached the rank that he wanted. The LSPD is the only family he has in the US, but he remains in contact with his proud mother through regular calls. Cedric now doesn't have specific goals, he got caught in a redundant circle but remains dedicated to his only reason to get up in the morning: work.
