The Beggining

Richard Davis was born in Austin, Texas, at a ranch on the outskirts of the city. At a young age, Richard was interested in riding horses and taking care of the ranch. With his father and mother, he would often ride in the sunsets, sometimes having picnics near the lake on the ranch. From the get-go, Richard was a stubborn child, who would always want things going his way, and only his way. He was one of the smartest students at school, but he was made fun of as he lived in a ranch, working long afternoons taking care of the horses. The bullying only made him more stubborn and selfish, until he met a girl by the name Susan. She was in the same class as Richard, and live in the ranch opposite to his. After school they would hang out and take care of the horses, go on long rides, and do homework together. Susan and Richard dated all through middle school and high school, as he developed into a young cowboy, fixing his stubbornness and becoming kind. Susan and Richard both attended the University of Austin, Richard studying Finance and Accounting, with a minor in Real Estate. Everything seemed to be going fine for Richard and Susan, two lovebirds that live next to each other, attending the same university.

One day coming back from lunch with Susan, Richard found the door of his house broken, glass shattered everywhere, and some casings on the front porch. Immediately he told Susan to call the police, as he ran inside the house, finding both his mom and dad dead, each with a bullet hole in their skull. He was confused, who could have done this? As he held his parents close to him, the police arrived, quickly inspecting the entire ranch. Richard followed the cops, as he found the door of the stable broken as well. As he entered, none of the horses were there, all the saddles were taken, all the family's work was gone, just like that.

Family Business

That day was devastating to Richard. As he kept studying hard for university, now with no income, he had to find a way to start earning money. The family business used to be raising horses, and breeding them. Now with no horses, Richard had nothing to start with. Susan's parents gifted Richard a couple of horses to get him started. He started to breed, and soon the business started to flourish. He got himself a license to purchase firearms, and bought himself a couple of revolvers. With university almost done, he decided to hire a young cowboy to help around the ranch. James took care of the horses, cleaned up the place, and most importantly, kept the place secured.

Richard graduated, and quickly landed himself a job as an accountant at a local firm. He was doubtful about the decision, but the extra money was perfect. He worked really hard during the day, to come home to Susan and the horses, taking them on sunset rides, galloping through the fields. Eventually, Richard was preparing to get married, Susan was the right girl for him.

After a year of working hard and earning a lot of money, Richard was able to expand the ranch, building another stable, as well as buying some high class horses from Morocco. With all the new income, Richard bought a wedding ring for Susan. He had the perfect plan. On a Sunday evening, Richard took Susan on a ride on the ranch. It was warm, summer, with a little bit of breeze, the sun coming down. They stopped under a big tree on the bed of the lake, as they sat in each other's arms, watching the water move slowly with the wind. Richard proposed to her, and without hesitating, Susan accepted the proposal. As they were planning the wedding, Richard left Susan pregnant. A couple of months passed, and they decided to host the wedding after Susan gave birth.

One day, Richard was at the stable, hoofing the horses, as he heard a couple of vans approach at a fast velocity, with some trucks in the back. Richard immediately picked up his revolver, as he headed towards the house. Susan came out of the porch, asking who the men were, and before she could say anything else, one of them shot her. Richard heard the shot, sprinting towards the house, taking some shots at the men on his front porch. He hid behind a tractor, as he kept shooting them, eventually hitting one, which made them retreat.

Richard rushed to the house, to find Susan and his kid lifeless. He called the police as he cried, hitting himself in the head with his fist, fired up about these men. The police came, trying to sort out what had happened, and they quickly left... Richard gave Susan a last kiss, a kiss to her lifeless body, crying over her.

During the night, the same men came to the ranch, killing all of the horses, burning down the ranch. Richard woke up to an extreme heat, flames all over his room, as he ran outside of the house, to find that the house was on fire, the stables burned down, the fields with flames. He got on his knees, looked at the house, and watched it burn slowly, as thoughts of his family passed his mind....

Los Santos

The weeks after the events, Richard decided to move, to go to a new life. He went to the airport, and saw the first flight was to Los Santos International Airport, as he got on the flight, leaving everything behind.

He arrived to Los Santos, not knowing anyone, clueless as to what will happen. Already as he arrived, people were making fun of his cowboy outfit, of his accent. He was starting to regret moving to Los Santos. As he looked for some sort of job, he found his university friend Russell Jeffress, who recently moved to Los Santos as well. Both Russell and Richard had a ton of experience in finance and real estate, as they were enrolled in the same degrees. After giving it some thought, Richard and Russell decided to open up R&R Auction and Realty.

With the spare money Richard had from Austin, they bought an office in Rancho, and quickly started working on developing the business. Richard focused on the auction side, while Russell on the real estate side. Richard quickly made friends with Yosef Maluka, who Richard called Yoska. Yoska was the one that helped everything start up. He gave up trucks and vehicles for the auction, which were quickly sold, and Richard was starting to get cash. All of this was still not enough for Richard.

The Los Santos Government had an open position for Budget Analyst, and he applied for it, interviewed with Leon French and Marcus Cambridge, and finally got the position. Richard backed away a little from R&R, letting Russell take care of it, as Richard worked hard in the government. In the government Richard has met tons of bright people, including his two bosses Marcus and Leon, as well as coworkers Freya Hill and Robert Strenge. He made close friends with Lotte DeVos, who still share a close friendship.
