Beth
Introduction I started messing with "graphics" in roughly 2010 when I was at the height of my Habbo phase. As I was in that phase, pixel art became something I was really interested in. It started with a few edits of characters and gradually I started drawing my own things. On Paint. With the eraser tool. Pixel by pixel. I was so against Photoshop back then but it worked for me. Gradually I gave in and started out on Photoshop, beginning with basic titles (Stroke was the bomb) and eventually dabbling into very basic image edits; by basic I mean... put a pattern over it, added a border, some text, called it a day. But it worked... More recently I've found myself enjoying creating flyers, both for my actual job and for online. I don't consider myself good by any means, but it's something I somewhat enjoy when I'm bored and something I continue to discover new things about. The below will feature some of my work and in a way my progression. If you have any questions on how I did something, feel free to contact me. Please note: A lot of the newer ones were made for either irl companies or Facebook groups so there's blurred out bits. Please also note a lot of these are from SA:MP... Sorry! JuanTwoThree
This is actually really nice! I think it's actually really cool how you can see the evolution of your skills from several years ago to what it is today, especially how you went from smaller projects to designing website front-ends. If it even matters, I'm a graphic design student. My biggest advice for you is that you play more with that fx button, if you use Photoshop. Once you master it, it'll be your best friend for little projects like logos and whatnot. For example, I designed this logo (a really long time ago, not my proudest work!) pretty much entirely with fx. The only exception to non-fx visual elements on that image is, of couse, the text layers for "Timeout" and "Autoworks", and the sparkles, which are essentially a pre-existing image with a changed layer style to get rid of the background. TLDR; Looks great! I'd suggest you play with fx to make the final products look a bit more polished or generally just nicer. Giving depth or even adding a low-opacity stroke and be a big change to an image which someone might not notice when it's there, but they could notice it not being there. Keep going and good job! ? 1 Link to comment
