Easily and accurately creating your character in Menyoo + Installing server mods to singleplayer

Recommended Posts

Some people like making their characters in Menyoo but make them in a way that looks basically nothing like they do in-game. I like my character looking exactly like they do ingame. So I made a program that lets me do it. Then, a cool UCP dev by the name of Mike added it to the UCP. So now that program is useless, but, it works better.

Making your character:

Spoiler
 1. Navigate to your character on the UCP and generate the .xml - https://i.imgur.com/mz9TUMX.png
 2. Move the .xml that was generated inside your menyooStuff -> Outfit folder - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\menyooStuff\Outfit
 3. Go into Menyoo ingame and find your character looking slightly off without any hair or eyebrows.
 4. Put clothing, tattoos, etc. on and save.

Getting GTAW Client Resources in your game:

Spoiler
 1. Install OpenIV - https://openiv.com/
 2. Go to your game directory and find the "update" folder - "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\update" for most
 3. Copy the update.rpf
 4. Go back to your main game directory and make a new folder called "mods" if it doesn't already exist.
 5. Make a "update" folder in the mods folder, and paste the update.rpf in the newly created update folder.
 6. Inside update, make a folder called x64. Inside that folder, make a folder called dlcpacks.
 7. Download https://mega.nz/file/XwozGQRS#Nv9WcjOoK5WYWndjUlMPoI8YE4Qxf4a2cvuKnLq9bw8 and copy the folders into the dlcpacks folder you just created. Alternatively, you can also copy and paste the 3 folders listed below from the GTAW client resources.
 8. Open up OpenIV, select Windows under Grand Theft Auto V. Select your game installation if needed.
 9. Go to Tools -> ASI Manager and install ASI Loader (you probably already have this if you're using Menyoo) and OpenIV.asi - https://i.imgur.com/juQJxGv.png
 10. Click the "Edit mode" button up near the top - https://i.imgur.com/pApnmVI.png
 11. Navigate through the folders until you get to this path here:w91j8rG.png
 12. Right click on dlclist.xml near the bottom and click edit. Add 13. to the bottom of the xml. It should look like this https://i.imgur.com/VLmbeLn.png
 13.
dlcpacks:/gtawberd/

dlcpacks:/gtawhairfemale/

dlcpacks:/gtawhairmale/

dlcpacks:/gtafemaleclothing1/

 14. Click save. When you start your game, you should see the serverside hairs/clothing now and be able to use them.

Note: If you want the old hairstyles, https://mega.nz/file/2pZXVYRQ#Fijo7Thu3uZOSfDDPvxd2-JLiygNZUxiKDcIBBRVW5w

Does that include the serverside tattoos? And if not, do you know which dlcpacks folder I should copy this way to have the tattoos on Menyoo?

I don't believe so, sorry. I'm looking through the old client resources and I can't see anything which would look like it would contain tattoos. You'd have to ask someone higher up on the server about that I'm thinking, since I have no clue.

I am so glad I found this! It works amazing and I feel like a hacker using it. My characters kept looking off and I could never figure out why, this fixes it.

Glad it worked well for you! Making your character but having it look slightly off was annoying to me too. I made it for myself mostly, then it got shared around and all that.

Updated the program to v2.2. Just added a small notification to use the numbers instead of names of Head Blends since apparently using anything other than a value crashes the program. Whoops. That's wacky.
