Red Ragging - The story of Richard "Little Midget" Para

Richard Para is a 15 year old Hispanic Male, living on Bay City/Magellan in the Vespucci beach area. Richard Para is a known affiliate of the PJBS (Project Boys) clique of the Southerner Culver City Boys 13 gang in his area, going by the moniker "Little Midget". In its prime, the Culver City Boys 13 gang was considered to be one of the most dangerous gangs in LS, responsible for the 1993 Thanksgiving firebombings of African-American and Senegalese-American homes and cars. Although the gang bangs a red flag, they consider themselves to be a Sureno gang and have no ties to Norteño or Blood alliances. The gang beefs with various Sureno and black gangs located on the west side, the most notorious of them being the Vespucci shoreline Crips. The gang to this day is still considered to be one of the most active and largest Hispanic gangs located on the west side.

 

Richard Para was born in one of the many low-income neighborhoods located in Vespucci's west end. Behind the attraction of beaches and rides, Vespucci is a very crime filled area. Growing up Richard had a single mother Elizabeth Para, who spent most of Richard's childhood trying to put food on the table. His father was shot to death by a Vespucci shoreline crip member, under a case of mis-identification. Without a father, Richard lacked parental guidance and since kindergarten he has been a troubled kid. He would commonly get in fights with kids on the playground and because of this he would get in a lot of trouble with his teachers; and gained a reputation among the gang members in his neighborhood at an early age. By the time he was nine years old, Richard would commonly be seen hanging around and affiliating himself with members of the Project Boys clique of Culver City boys 13. Attracted by their wealth and criminal lifestyle, Richard wanted to be a Culver City boys 13 gang member at an early age.

 

After hanging with the gang for quite some time Richard had earned his respect among his peers, and was jumped into the gang at the age of twelve earning his nickname "Little Midget", after being apart of the shooting of Shoreline Vespucci Crip member Raymond "Little Ray" Thompson. Around the same age as Raymond, Richard had identified Thompson as a Shoreline Vespucci Crip affiliate through school, commonly getting in fights with him and his friends. While cruising through their turf, Richard had spotted Ray at a bus stop. Richard notified his homies, and they circled back around this time with guns. They pulled up in front of Ray, and began to shout at him throwing up gang signs. A few seconds after the confrontation had initiated Richard seated in the front passenger seat stuck a fully loaded Glock 45 out the open window and into Ray's face. Ray turned around and began to sprint down the street, Richard firing at him from behind. Richard had fired three shots at Ray, missing the first one, the second one hitting him in his right arm and the third hitting him in the back of his head. Immediately after the rounds were fired, Ray dropped to the ground and the group sped off. Ray was only in a coma and came out a few months later. However, Richard was still credited for the shooting, and was jumped in the set a week later after the shooting.

 

Now an days Richard a jumped in member of the Project Boys Clique, remains active in his hood. He commonly flaunts his wealth and gang on social media.  Flashing stacks of cash, throwing up gang signs and dissing dead rival gang members. He is also a prominent tagger in his hood, one way of flaunting his gang affiliation along with dissing rival gangs. He usually gains his money by robbing and committing break-ins.
