Renovations are pricy. The worth alone probably doubles the price of the normal apartment, if not further than double. You'll be hard pressed to find a renovated home that doesn't atleast go for double or triple the market price. If you don't wanna pay that much? Find a standard home that hasn't had renovations and designs. Otherwise stop trying to shit on people's classifieds. If you really wanted to know, you could've emailed him privately.

Asking a question isn't shitting on people. Just wondering what warrants people to flip a property for 2-3 times the value when it really isn't worth it at all.
