Detective Bureau seizes two millions worth of weapons, drugs - 28/MAR/2020

Davis, Los Santos — Members of the Area Detectives Division supported by Metropolitan Divisions C and K9 platoons executed a number of search warrants following a thorough investigation of a murder in Vespucci Canals, seizing two millions worth of weapons and drugs in Davis area, biggest in cities history, putting a serious dent in illegal guns trade in Los Santos.

Detectives started their investigation in the aftermath of a shots fired at Vespucci Canals area for a suspect armed with an AK47U and a body riddled with bullets. Following a foot pursuit that involved various resources deployed by the Los Santos Police Department, suspect was apprehended. Found on or near him were the murder weapon (AK47U), eighty rounds of munition for said rifle, along with fifty grams of Marijuana.

With a working theory of a deal gone wrong by the investigators from Area Detectives Division and through a thorough investigation conducted, a number of Search Warrants were approved by magistrates. Armed with the Warrants and supported by the Metropolitan Divisions C and K9 Platoons, Detectives executed a total of five Search Warrants on various locations around the City.

With Narcotics and Firearms sniffing canine deployed to assist with the search along with their handlers, a stash house was found in 1025 Covenant Street, Davis, Los Santos. Adjacent to the House, two millions worth of weapons and drugs were seized from the Garage; connecting directly to the suspect involved in Vespucci Canal shooting.

Following items were found during the search;

5x Compact Rifles

2x Pump Shotguns

3x Machettes

2860x Pistol Munition

722x Rifle Munition

700 grams of Ecstasy

200 grams of Marijuana

He was a powerful idiot, said the supervising Detective of the investigation, who was not in our radar. Detective Bureau did some great work along with the officers from Metropolitan Division, making a dent in illegal gun trade. Five less assault rifles and a considerable amount of drugs taken off from the streets of Los Santos and the City is safer because of it.

The Los Santos Police Department has announced they've hit hard at drug and weapon dealers within the city, within a statement, their Area Detective Division confirmed a huge bust at an estimated street value of 2 million dollars of firearms and narcotics. The raid was in conjunction along with the Metropolitan Division C and K9 Platoons who executed a series of raids in Davis, following an investigation into a murder in Vespucci Canals, which is the largest ever bust in the City's history, beating out the former drug bust back in 2018.

A total of five houses was raided across the city by Metropolitan Division teams, and the drugs were said to be located in 1025 Covenant Street, Davis. It was not made immediately clear if the suspect had been arrested and or detained at this time, LSNN has reached out to the Los Santos Police for further information. Along with this, it's believed the firearms and drugs taken from the streets will make the city a little bit safer at night knowing the firearms aren't in the hands of criminals.

A comment from the unnamed supervising detective was "He was a powerful idiot, who was not on our radar

Crime in the city has been steadily on the rise, especially in economy stricken areas such as Davis, which makes the selling of illegal weapons and drugs a fairly common occurrence, on most of the corners of Chamberlain Hills especially people post upon them, occasionally selling marijuana or cocaine.

Los Santos News has reached out to the Los Santos Police for further comments on the raids.
