fivexfiver
^^ of all of the responses I would agree with jcat the most. For me the defining factor between the different levels of roleplay is the level of consistency, thought and immersion to the roleplay. One of the things that bothers me is that a lot of people equate heavy rp with "hyper realistic" rp. I don't think it has to be a real life stimulator to be heavy or serious rp. I think heavy rp should have a clear setting and that the roleplay and characters should be well thought out and executed within that setting to uphold the standard of integrity and immersion. I think that fun story telling requires a certain amount of imagination and freedom that isn't necessarily accurate to how it would occur Irl. As long as the roleplay reflects the setting, physics and consistency it can still be high quality even if it isn't a carbon copy of real life. Think tv show episodes versus irl. Mostly believably but with enough freedom to be entertaining. 2 Link to comment
eTaylor
Light RP for me is pretty much any RPG/Dark RP based system. Medium is what we have here, and heavy would be the extremely regulated niche communities not found on GTA servers. Link to comment
