• Stop with any rider who experiences mechanical difficulty – allowing the rest of the group to proceed to a safer stopping area. If they can not continue to ride or delay the ride, the TG needs to communicate with the RC.
• Keep an eye on any new or inexperienced riders to ensure they are capable of safely riding with the group.
• Notify any rider if his signal lights are not working, if there is an obvious mechanical problem or an unsecured bag. The tail gunner will stop and collect any bag or luggage that falls off a bike if it is safe to do so.
• Communicate with the Road Captain if the group has been split or if a split group re-formed.
• Report to RC if riders are not up to par with grouping and their buddy system.
• Will assist the Road Captain in the performance of his duties.
• May be required to assume the duties of Road Captain in his absence.
