We're innocent cause we're white

Innocence Boulevard, Rancho

The area now known as Rancho (Watts) began its modern history after the arrival of Spanish-Mexican settlers, as part of the Rancho La Tajuata. As on all ranchos, the principle vocation was livestock grazing and beef production. With the influx of white Americans into Southern San Andreas during the 1870's, La Tajuata land was sold off and subdivided for smaller farms and homes. The arrival of the railroad spurred the development of the area, and in 1907 Watts was incorporated as a separate city; named after the first railroad station built in the town, Watts Station. The city voted to annex itself to Los Santos in 1926.

Along with more Caucasian Americans, Mexican and Mexican American railroad workers ("traqueros") settled in the community. Blacks came in later and many of the men were Pullman car porters and other railroad workers. Schoolroom photos from 1909 and 1911 show only two or three black faces among the 30 or so children pictured. Watts did not become predominantly black until the 1940's, as the second Great Migration brought tens of thousands of migrants from Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas who left segregated states in search of better opportunities in San Andreas. During World War II, the city built several large housing projects (including Rancho Projects, Crystal Gardens and Ganton Courts) for the thousands of new workers in war industries. By the early 1960′s, these projects had become nearly 100 percent black, as the majority of whites moved on to new suburbs outside the central city. As industrial jobs disappeared from the area, the projects housed more poor families than they had initially.

eW7gZH6.pngLongstanding resentment by Los Santos' working-class black community exploded on August 11, 1965 into what were commonly known as the Watts Riots. The event that caused the chaos was the arrest of Marquette Frye, an African-American motorist when on parole for robbery, was pulled over by the highway patrol for reckless driving. A minor roadside argument broke out, and then escalated into a fight with police; an officer pulled out a shotgun. Backup police officers attempted to arrest Frye by using physical force to subdue him. As the situation intensified, growing crowds of local residents witnessing the exchange began yelling and throwing objects at the police officers. Frye's mother and brother fought with the officers and were eventually arrested along with Marquette Frye. Six days of civil unrest followed, after community members reported that a pregnant woman was kicked by police. Nearly 4,000 members of the National Guard helped suppress the disturbance, which resulted in 34 deaths and over $40 million in property damage.

Watts suffered further turmoil during the 1970′s as gangs gained strength and raised the level of violence in the neighborhoods. Between 1989 and 2005, police reported more than 500 homicides in Watts, most of them gang-related and tied to wars over control of the illegal but lucrative drug market in the area.

Nazi Lowriders

The Nazi Lowriders (NLR) originated in the 1970's but weren't really noticed by law enforcement until the early 1990's, by which time the authorities had been cracking down on the Aryan Brotherhood. As opposed to other white criminal gangs in San Andreas prisons, the NLR gained a reputation for being very violent. They are labeled as a prison gang by the San Andreas Department of Corrections. The "Nazi" part of their name is more a sign of a racist belief in white supremacy than anti-Semitism, while "Lowriders" is a play on the term used for Hispanic gangs. The gang eventually progressed from being muscle to a fast-growing gang in their own right. Unlike other white supremacist gangs in the US, they appear to be well organized and have developed links with other white organizations throughout the West Coast, including the Ku Klux Klan. Paroled gang members have been known to move East to further spread the organization's reach.

On January 28, 1999, San Anne prison officials recognized the NLR as a prison gang. Consequently, in an attempt to disrupt the gang's criminal activities, inmates verified as members were subjected to removal from the general population, as well as other restrictive treatments. The NLR responded by striking an alliance with Public Enemy No. 1 (PENI), another white disruptive group, which has since taken over the reins on San Andreas' white prison population.

Subculture and influence

As in most gangs, Nazi Lowrider (NLR) members have created a subculture of graffiti, hand signals, tattoos, attire and language. However, while much of it has been based on Nazi symbolism and icons, usage has varied from place to place. Unlike other skinheads, Lowriders have not adhered to specific rules regarding appearance, making immediate identification of gang members more difficult for law enforcement.

NLR members are not required to wear any particular tattoo, for instance, though symbols like the swastika, SS lightning bolts and other Nazi-related images, including pictures of Hitler, frequently adorn members. Others prefer eagles, skulls and demons, while tattoos or patches with "WP" (White Power) or the number "88" are also popular. Abbreviations of less obvious white supremacist phrases like "WSU" (White Student Union) and "AYM" (Aryan Youth Movement) are common as well. The group's "business card" (a tattoo of the letters "NLR") commonly appears, often on the stomach, back or neck. Some prefer the full words "Nazi Low Riders", frequently written in Old English font.

As of right now, we're portraying a small community within South Central that has been influenced by senior members of the Nazi Lowriders (NLR). With the neighbourhood we roleplay in being predominantly white and all other surrounding neighbourhoods being run by black or Hispanic gangs, local kids find themselves being the minority. We're going more for an environmental showcase, probably won't include a lot of personal character development.

Just now, #Emil said:

Put in a request for a faction request, I've heard that some people don't like when post a faction thread in this part of the forums. I like the idea however, Anyhow goodluck, we need more white G's ❤️

already have, figured we'd post the beginnings here while we wait for a review. we're not focusing as much on the NLR side of things since we lack the validations and prison system, so for right now we're just showcasing the local kids and junior NLR member, Ryan Tillman.
