The Democratic Party which is ran by Daniel Zavala has released it's latest Manifesto to the public, in it, it proposes many changes from gun law tweaks, healthcare reforms, education reforms and a large crime reform. We aim to break down it and cut through the legalese so you can make a informed decision.

Healthcare reform

The Democratic Party ('The Party' has pledged to invest in all of the Hospitals around San Andreas which include hiring mental health specialists to psychotherapy to allow patients to be seen much faster. The Party plans on investing within the Los Santos ERT (Emergency Response Teams) as it claims it to be quote 'underfunded'.

How will they pay for this? They plan on raising the tax by a cent to every dollar on income tax. Example: Every $10'000 will have a $100 tax. (This is for CURRENT tax rates)

(Editor Comment: I'm struggling to see how exactly raising the taxes by a tiny margin will raise the right amount of funds to cover all of these mental health specialists, they're not exactly cheap | Also, we're confused why they're mentioning State Wide benefits when the Party will only take over the Los Santos Government, not San Andreas)

Education reform

The Party will introduce State Curriculum from Elementary school to College to bring people more into the 21st century economy. The Party plans on bringing in a Student Loan Company to pay for tuition fees to SA citizens on a inflation-fixed loan to be paid off once the student has found employment. They plan on working alongside local businesses to open the doors for apprenticeships.

The investment into education will come form the current budget surplus without raising taxes.

(Editor Comment: The Student Loans problem is huge and is effecting our economy more than ever, with over $1.4 TRILLION dollars in debt because of Student Loans, they're a problem and they need to be forgiven or fixed properly. Source: HERE )

Businesses

The Party will launch a new Government Subsidy Grant Scheme in which it will reward businesses that help the 'public good or provide a vast amount of jobs' but it's very scarce on details on what exactly 'public good' is defined as. They aim to fund this through current taxation policies, no planned raising of taxes.

Crime

The Party plans to decriminalize Marijuana and to bring regulation into the market. The Party alleges it supports rehabilitation and that it'll work with the Los Santos Sherrif's Department to provide job opportunities and inmate education programs to reduce the risk of re-offending. Along with this, they plan on stopping the war on drugs and decriminalizing several vehicle laws and issue specific licenses based on modifications

Our Rights

The Party says it'll protect Constitutional rights, such as Right to Bear Arms (2A) and that it'll simplify gun processing. Freedom of speech will be a main point, the Party will engage with the press and allow citizens to submit complaints and comments.  A online map will be published (No date was listed) and lastly the Party plans on investing in public defenders and expanding in their capabilities, along with motivating additional lawyers to serve as public defenders.

(Editors Comment: The Current Rockford Government allows Citizens to submit complaints and comments via their website, Crime Data can be requested via a Freedom of Information request through the Government also. )

---

We'll be reaching out to the Democratic Party to ask them to expand on the Online Map and how it plans on motivating additional public defenders. There's a lot of issues within the Manifesto, so we'll update when / if we get a reply.

We did also note a few errors within the Manifesto but we'll be leaving that up to a 'lack of coffee'

FTC notice: This is NOT paid for by the Democratic Party nor do we receive funding from any foreign entity, this is a Ad-Free platform.
