I don't think it's menyoo itself that actually "Made GTAW worse". I'd rather say it was the certain type of player that doesn't know how to actually make the tool useful.

I've used menyoo myself for a couple of screenshots, mainly because there's certain anims and stuff that ingame are either bugged or not ingame at all. (i.e: yoga poses). But most of the screenshots in which I've used menyoo are either scenery pics, inside jokes, flashbacks, dreams, or drug related hallucinations. If any of these count toward the "making GTAW worse" types of menyoo users, then it's my own fault I guess.

It hasn't made it worse, the quality is still the same as it is so if you're noticing an increase in mallrats - don't actually think it's something new. FB is just a platform to bring them out when they use Menyoo.

Menyoo has its pros and its cons, however, I do think more pros than cons. Yes, Menyoo causes people to NOT roleplay, however, those who utilise Menyoo correctly will know they should only create photos that have been done in-game and fully roleplayed.

I, myself do not take any photos that I have not roleplayed because I personally think that it's the only correct way to use Menyoo. On the other hand, I do see where you're coming from in respects to that other people make up situations or scenarios and just post a photo to show that they're "active". This usage of Menyoo I completely disagree with and do think that it should be regulated. It's simply unrealistic and classed as powergame to show and present a photo of a scenario that has NEVER happened and that is why Menyoo decreases the server image in a way.

However, I am lenient when it comes to businesses and how Menyoo can help promote businesses more. Due to the lack of animations in game I can see why people resort to Menyoo and that's completely fine, however, I still stand by my point. Roleplay your situations before heading into menyoo. For those who use menyoo will know that menyoo consumes a lot of time, especially when you don't have all of the animations/mods/clothing for your said brand/business or for the scenario so you could be looking at 1-6 hours of looking through 13,000 animations and an additional couple of hours for modding your game. Using menyoo to benefit businesses I do agree with to an extent, my own personal experience has been great. I think using menyoo to show off brands, businesses or promote others can be really useful and it can really show off people's abilities, skills, and talents when it comes to menyoo and photoshop.

I use menyoo a lot when it comes to Elegance, primarily because it's a marketing company and it does include positions that GTAW simply does not support yet. This side of menyoo (as long as it's roleplayed as aforementioned) is acceptable. I spoke with @Jura in discord about the entirety of this discussion and we're basically on the same page.

One of the cons which do get on many people nerves would the fact that Menyoo characters do not look like their in game characters, this I find really confusing for those in game. If you're going to use Menyoo at least be meticulous and spend time making it look as close to your character as possible. It benefits the server, yourself and your pride. Don't make a menyoo character not looking like yourself in game, that's just dumb in my opinion.

The moral is; don't use menyoo to create a situation/scenario that has not been roleplayed. Release photos that have been rp'd and save the screenshot in case of accusations of PG. Don't mess around with it because that's the only misuse, I find of menyoo and it is, I agree tiresome and somewhat laborious.

EDIT: It's all about the way you use it too. Most people use it with good intentions, however, others do abuse the entire plugin I think, personally.

menyoo's fine its just misused by cringey bad characters/rpers

the tool isnt the problem its how people use it, making stupid unrealistic photos/videos that dont ever happen with things they dont have is bad

if you're just using it to get better camera angles for selfies and/or modeled photos, or to re-make what you've RPed (i.e my videos i make with 40oz are usually just remade scenes from RP that would look stupid cause of desync and bad/unrealistic camera angles we're restricted to ig, so i started learning the editor to remake the clips we film icly and make them into edits similar to skate videos etc) then its fine. anyone that says otherwise is pretty much just a butthurt for literally no reason other than "why the fuck does this guy get more attention than me on facebrowser fuck menyoo!!!!!!" typically.

Menyoo's harmless, and the people that do dumb shit with it typically face the consequences icly (i.e people getting investigated/arrested for shit) it hasn't "ruined" the server. Most the people using it are just using it for good camera angles and shit and still log in and do the same exact roleplay they always have. It didn't really change anything.

This bothered me since day 1. It's really annoying to see that a character on gtaw is meh to ugly but on FB looks like the hottest porn star. What's the point of try harding with photoshop, faceapp and PRIVATE mods if your character doesn't even look the same? I understand improving a picture but not to the point it looks like someone else.

I understand everyone wants their character to look like this but if IG you can't then you probably shouldn't.

Another issue is that I've never seen some of the characters IG at all. I wonder if they're there just to flex on FB and milk those likes.
