Galaxy Incident Report

The full incident report for the Galaxy incident will be provided below, excluding any details which may compromise private employee or client information. This, from the start, is simply a blog which should not have to be written. Had Saints News, and the writer for the article in question, Ryan D. Price, done their due diligence, fact checking, or even asking for comment from anyone involved other than a single witness, this would not be necessary. Also included in this article will be snippets from LSPD's manual on Guard permits which will pertain to the roles and responsibilities of private security personnel.

Saints News have proven they do not seek truth, nor intend to report on it. At the very least, their most recent article has shown their incredible lack of journalistic integrity, an absence of professional ethics, and how willing they are to throw objectivity to the side when it comes to a matter of their personal agenda.

Before we get to the report, we should clarify. What is the role of private security? You can read the full Guard Permit manual here, but we've also included relevant snippets below:

As you can see, the primary focus of a security guard is to protect the safety of clients, their customers, and the property itself, but also to observe and report. In these reports, it should include various details mentioned above. Now, at first glance, one may suggest that security failed in this instance, as the victim in question allegedly lost her hat. While losing one's favorite hat is indeed regrettable, there were no reported injuries, in a situation in which nine potentially criminal actors were instigating an innocent couple. The situation was deescalated, a full report was made not only to the company, but to police, and evidence was provided.

So in essence the guards on-site prevented an escalation to physical violence with 9 potentially criminal actors, who may  or may not have been armed, and instead, opted to stay by the couple's side, keep patrons safe, and wait for police to arrive, then pass over evidence and thorough statements. The perfect outcome, of course, would have been for the victim to keep her favorite hat- yet the worst outcome could have been many wounded, or perhaps worse.

You can see the full report below, minus sensitive client or employee details which were blacked out or cut entirely:

Thank you for taking the time to read this, instead of only paying attention to one side of the story. Perhaps Saints News will endeavor to get the full story on articles they write from here on, or perhaps they will just continue to write articles based on statements from the first person who pops up and agrees with their agenda. Only time will tell.

Comment: Nobody besides the guards on duty and the alleged victim were named in this report. Only the name of motorcycle club was mentioned, as, while individually not identified, they were wearing vests stating their affiliation.

Comment: Pathetic how you're accusing Saints News of lying while you're the one tilting facts. You completely dismissed the lady being grabbed and harassed and made it sound like it was all about the hat. And in fact, it was the other club members who pulled their friend away, not guards or anyone else. The club members who you're accusing blindly had nothing to do with the incident but they actually stopped it escalating.

Comment: You forgot "chasing down victims and shooting them in the back". Because the city has not forgotten about that, and this statement isn't fooling anyone.

Comment: I would like to see how many brave souls would stand against 9 biker members of a known and potentially dangerous motorcycle club over a Binco's hat. You're all pointing fingers but you refuse to see that there was no injuries, no one got hit as the man only ATTEMPTED to assault the other guy. No actual physical harm was done.
Look at yourselves first and don't think you're John Rambo tough enough to confront 9 bikers who were possibly even armed by yourselves over a hat. Not escalating the situation, avoiding injuries and kept everyone safe. A hat was lost. I think it's a good outcome given how wrong it could've gone. Calling a lost hat a "Nightmare" is quite the hyperbole.

Comment: I can see that Executive Security won't even admit that they were handling a task they couldn't and that they prefer to straight-up lie and misinform instead of sharing the truth. Sensei above claims that nobody got hurt, sure, while it is true it doesn't mean that they did not try to. If it wasn't for his friends, the one attack that was dodged would have surely escalated into a fight. Sure, Saints didn't speak to the other side, but at least they've shared the truth. Galaxy can spend more money next time on security instead of having two DJs argue over the microphone with half-assed music and actually get enough personnel to handle the issues inside.
