ChickenOffSky
Short description: Businesses can become suppliers for the shipping system. Detailed description: Businesses can apply to become a supplier for shipping. Once they get accepted they would have a pickup location which displays how much of an item they have available. Items would be restocked similar to current fish selling system. It would be ideal if only employees would have access to placing the items in the pickup location. Another feature would be to have a set of ordered tasks depending on what goods that business is supplying. Example1: A food supplier business would need a station for cleaning incoming food, preparing it, and packaging it. Example2: A vehicle parts business would need a station for, forming the parts, welding, packaging, etc. Items to add: Items that would correspond to the tasks of each supplier. If someone interacts with a station in the business it would output an item needed to interact with the next station until final station outputs an item that can go into the company's "pickup location". How would your suggestion improve the server? It would further round out the shipping system even more. It could even become a bridge to even more work opportunities such as mining, farming, oil drilling, etc. Suppliers would need some type of input in order to process and output an item. Overall this could become an opportunity for implementing even more types of jobs. Additional information: Just a concept I had been thinking about for awhile: Reworking the current brewing system to become a brewery or alcohol supplier. People could maybe brew custom items in correlation to their companies. Example: A brewery called "Bob's Brewhouse" would output an item called "Bob's Summer Logger" or "Bob's Light Brew". Somehow it would be cool to ship those out to bars or liquor stores who then could serve/sell the custom items. 1 Link to comment
ashamar
Might even save brewing. I went into that thinking it could be sold to liquor stores only to find out that had been removed. It would be fun to RP as a supplier and go around promoting your brand and such. Link to comment
