Maritza Rojas, age 18 (born on 7th July 2001), currently resides in Los Santos without valid immigration papers. She arrived in the United States with her father, both of whom were brought over from Colombia in a cargo ship. Her father, Pablo Rojas, was a politician in Colombia. Pablo Rojas was indicted for corruption, a crime that he swore he never committed knowingly. Maritza's mother, Camila, was killed in an assassination attempt on Pablo.

Determined not to fall in the hands of blatant corruption of the courts, Pablo decided to live a new life in another country, using his connections for assistance in doing so. Bringing Maritza along, the duo boarded the cargo ship that had been arranged for them to slip out of the country. Pablo's connections also landed him a job in construction.

Unable to bring Maritza along to live in the workers' dormitory, the duo lived under a bridge, in the vicinity of the motorcycle dealership.

Maritza Rojas currently resides in the vicinity of Grove Street, under the care of the Ghetto Boyz 27. Despite not knowing a word of English upon her arrival, Maritza is now trying her best to learn the common tongue. Maritza's father assured her that he would earn enough money for the duo's survival. However, Maritza does not plan to sit around idly for money from her father. She has been actively looking for employment, and in the meantime, collects scraps and goes dumpster-diving in her free time.

She has strongly rejected the idea of betraying herself for money, although the pressure of not being able to find any source of money may lead her to think otherwise. Will she eventually betray her morals for the sake of cold, hard cash? Only time will tell.

Maritza, having lived through an assassination attempt on her father, protestors wreaking havoc outside her home, and scrutiny from the public due to her father's alleged corruption, has suffered deeply in her childhood. Maritza never faces hostility bravely, often making her escape when there is any sort of confrontation. Despite her timidness, Maritza is a fiercely loyal friend and associate, never abandoning her friends in times of trouble. Maritza is also a strong patriot of her country, Colombia, although she isn't fond of the political situation. As the daughter of a politician, Maritza has always been taught to uphold the right morals, and never to succumb to external pressure.

This was, of course, how she was before she had to flee the country with her father.

Damn that's crazy how Los Santos works as an assylum for political refugees now
