The Neighborhood Crips (NHC) also known as N-Hood Crips or Hoodsta Crips, is made up of several individual African-American street gangs, located primarily on the East Side of Los Santos, San Andreas. The Neighborhood Crips are originated from the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips and are one of the fastest growing organisation in the history of gangs.

The Neighborhood Crips became prominent in 1979, after the feud between the Rollin 60's Neighborhood Crips and the Eight Tray Gangster Crips. The aftermath of this war, left gangs choosing Deuces (2x) or Gangster Crips (3x) also known Trays (Deuces & Trays). The Deuces (2x) represents Neighborhoods alliance, and the Trays (3x) represent the Eight “Tray” Gangster Crips.

However, there are gangs that falls under the “Deuces 2x,” card, who don’t carry the NHC moniker, such as the Raymond Ave Crips and the HardTime Hustler Crips as well as the Geer Gang Crips along with West Blvd Crips. The Menlo Crips were originally apart of the Gangster Crips (Menlo Gangster Crips) movement.

However, they turned Neighborhood Crips (Menlo Neighborhood Crips), after feuding with the Eight Tray Gangster Crips and several of their allies.

Sub-sets of the Neighborhood Crips are bitter rivals of sub-sets under the Gangster Crips (3x) umbrella. However, a number of gangs are known for going against the grain, by forming alliance’s with gangs under rival cards. Example, the 40’s Gangster Crips, which consist of the 42 Gangster Crips and the 43 Gangster Crips as well as the 48 Gangster Crips.

These three gangs are known for having strong alliance’s with the Neighborhood Crips, such as the East Coast Crips (Movin Coast 2 Coast). This alliance is forbidden, and is considered an act of treason. By the Mid 1980s, there was over two dozen Neighborhood Crips in South Los Santos, San Andreas. By the 1990s, there was over 30 sub-sets of the Neighborhood Crips.

The Neighborhood Crips have spread outside of Los Santos, into different regions throughout the United States. Today, the Neighborhood Crips are worldwide and became multi ethic race organization. "40's to 100's N-Hood Crips".

The Rollin 40s Crips (R40s) also known as the Rollin 40s Neighborhood Crips (R40NHC) Rollin Forties or Rollin Foe-Os, are an active and long standing African American street gang founded in West Los Angeles, California during the 1970s. Their territory covers a large area from Crenshaw Blvd. in the west to Figueroa Avenue in the east, between Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in the north towards 52nd Street in the south; an area which falls under the jurisdiction of the LAPD's Southwest Division. The 40's fall under the Neighborhood Crips and West Side Crips "card" and are friendly towards most Deuce(2x) gangs. The 40's are an active street gang with a reputation for brutality, bolstering about 1000 members as of 2005. Members of the 40s are known to wear baby blue and Florida Marlins or Milwaukee Brewers apparel to represent their gang. They are organized into four loosely affiliated cliques that control their particular neighborhood area. Each clique is controlled by a shotcaller who determines the overall strategy relative to the criminal activity within the clique. Its members are known to be involved in a variety of crimes, including murder, assault, robberies, narcotics and firearms violations. The Rollin 40s have waged war with a multitude of both Blood and Crip sets including the Rollin 20s Neighborhood Bloods, Black P. Stones, Inglewood Family Gang, Centinela Park Family Bloods, Fruit Town Brims, Van Ness Gangster Brims, Harvard Park Brims, 43 Hoover Criminals Gang, 52 Hoover Gangster Crips, 59 Hoover Criminals Gang, 52 Broadway Gangster Crips, the Playboy Gangster Crips, School Yard Crips, the 51 Trouble Gangster Crips, all East Coast Crips, the Rollin 40s Avalon Gangster Crips and the Gardena Shotgun Crips. They were once considered enemies of their former allies the Rollin 30's Harlem Crips to the south of their turf since approximately 1996. It was widely rumored that the Rollin 40’s were responsible for the shooting death of a Rollin 30’s member which sparked a tit-for-tat series of retaliatory shootings. Although a truce was declared between the two feuding gangs by 2006, some members of both gangs still harbor deep seeded hatred for one another; making their relationship extremely volatile at times. Additionally, the Rollin 40s used to be allies of the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, but that is no longer the case as well. Other former allies include the Rollin 50s Neighborhood Crips. The Rollin 40s are cliqued up with both the 46 Neighborhood Crips and the 48 Neighborhood Crips, despite the fact that violent flareups between the 3 gangs have occurred in the past. Other allies include the Raymond Avenue Crips, Rollin 30's Harlem Crips (excluding the "Darcside Rollin 40s" clique who still consider the 30s Crips rivals), Rollin 90s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 100s Crips and all Blocc Crips.
