It was regarded as the cannabis capital of Europe, due to the fact that the village made more than 900 tons of cannabis each year. In June 2014, the Albanian government cracked down and destroyed the local production of cannabis in the region by shutting down various grow operations. After the operation was taken down a lot of people who were linked with it were left jobless, a lot of people were arrested and the authorities were searching for the rest of the people involved in the organization. Everybody involved did whatever they could to escape from the government. Many people moved out of the country, most of them going to Los Santos and London. Los Santos 2019; Bashkim Berisha is involved with helping Albanians move to Los Santos, both illegally and legally, though only to increase his power in the city and move toward his goal that is making money.
