Crime Investigations?

It feels like it would be difficult to perform gang related investigations since players are able to simply respawn once death is accepted so there's no trail or evidence to go off which means you're left unable to distinguish whether or not there's been a murder and as a result being unable to investigate what you can't possibly be aware of. Because of this, it seems like it hinders detective role play by quite a large margin.

I would love to see interrogation employed by LEO on suspects which would follow with an in game based court system if the required parties were present and if not.. continued through the forum as it is in its current state which would then provide more incentive and an all around increase in role play for anyone who entertains lawyer role play

There is a feature in the works, as noted by Nervous relating to a CSI system to further assist the investigative side of things, alongside the ability for bodies to persist even after death as shown here:

Another thing to note is that there are CSI qualified personnel within the LSPD, so to some degree there is the ability through those personnel to actually assist in revealing an evidence trail. Of course, there will be scenarios where we are simply unaware of what occurs, due to there being no body and no one around to inform us of the scene itself. But, we do have the tools to further clarify scenes through the use of those few trained CSI personnel.

In regards to your statement upon the interrogation part of your suggestion, these do occur although not to the degree in which you describe. But, every officer is entitled to question their suspect, although for some reason most don’t do so due to most situations resulting in ‘dead to rights’ scenarios where the evidence is inexcusable.

In addition to the above, which summed everything up perfectly, we do have a Gang Impact Team that deals with gang violence and gangs. This happens visibly but also invisibly, so sometimes you won't be able to see when and where the team operates but, in fact, they are there.
