About the Company

The White Brothers Trading Company is a small yet growing family business that is was founded by Pappy White himself and he began the growing process and recruited his grandchildren to help, and eventually take over the business with the oldest being Cleetus who has half of a business degree, Dustin who stuck around to learn all of the ins and outs of the business and their cousin Randy Dwight who is a specialized mechanic and was brought on to initially be the mechanic for the company fleet. The company originally specialized in Pappy’s secret recipe of Moonshine and after issues with the law they transitioned to a more legal side of business and solely focused on transportation of goods for private and public companies alike. The White Brothers Trading Company is based out of Sandy Shores originally out of the family property and hopes to grow into a large goods transportation company and be working out of a large warehouse with semi-trucks, but everything has to start somewhere and their start happens to be in Sandy Shores out of a small property.

The White family business had humble beginnings in 1965 with the sole member being Pappy White. The first business venture mainly included production of the family recipe of moonshine. Pappy found himself up in the hills by himself, creating his corn based one-ninety proof moonshine that was famous in the Sandy Shores area. It was so well known that it even found it’s way down into Los Santos more times than not. Pappy would find himself transporting his moonshine himself down to the city in his old rust bucket of a truck, and one thing that was for sure was that he always went back home with an empty truck bed. Luckily, he was smart enough to use that to his advantage. With the large amount of people he had been doing business with there were always people who needed some things transported back to the Sandy Shores area, although he never mentioned exactly what they would have him haul back, mostly because he didn’t ask. Over years of doing this, he had business relationships with many folks down in the city, around Sandy Shores, and even up in Paleto. He took what extra money he had been earning with his moonshine business and transportation to purchase himself another old rust bucket of a truck. Around this time his grandson Cleetus had just been old enough to obtain his drivers license and immediately Pappy put ole’ Cleeter in the driver seat, although he didn’t get his driver's license for a couple years after he started driving. The local county Sheriff’s department didn’t give the White’s much grief with Cleeter driving around without the license as long as they didn’t see him doing anything crazy. Now the city police was a different story. Pappy made it a mission of his to teach Cleeter the rights and wrongs and it was required that he know and follow every traffic law while in the city limits and jurisdiction of the Los Santos Police Department. With his teachings, Cleeter wasn’t ever stopped while down in town. Dustin White, Cleeters little brother wasn’t much younger than ole Cleeter and more times than not would ride on along on some of the work orders and help out. With Pappy White’s transportation business picking up heavily, and the moonshine business booming like never before, the White’s found themselves with more orders for shine and transportation than they could currently handle. Pappy made the decision to find and purchase another one of the old reliable rust bucket Rat-Loaders and throw Dusty in the driver seat, now that he had some seat time with his older brother Cleeter. The business venture went on rather successfully with this setup for several years.

Up until this point the business has only been Pappy, Cleetus, and Dustin and it has been extremely successful. At this point Cleetus is a ripe nineteen years old and is faced with a rather hard decision. Pappy brought Cleetus into his “office” which was just his extra room in the house, stacked full of loosely filed and messy business information. Pappy had brought up a point to Cleetus that he believed he should take a break from the company and go off to school to earn some type of degree in business to help the family business prosper upon his return. This means that it would be back down to just Pappy and Dustin. Dustin prepared behind Cleetus for years and was ready to take the reins while he went off for a couple years. Cleetus reluctantly agreed to this idea, though was hesitant because he didn’t have the best track record throughout high school. Pappy has been preparing over the past few years by putting money back for the day that he could offer to send Cleetus to school. Just like that, Cleetus is off to school and it’s just down to the two to run the business. Worked piled up and hours increased to try and keep up with the previous work load portioned out for three people and was now put on the shoulders of an aging Pappy and, a young experienced but not seasoned, Dusty. While work was rough over the coming time period with Cleetus being off to school, it was manageable. Eventually, they got a system put into place that both of them could follow and keep up with. With the increased workload, and the ever increasing demand for Pappy White’s moonshine, Pappy decided to pass the recipe on to Dusty. This is a huge deal because nobody up until this point has known the recipe except for Pappy’s dad who passed it down to Pappy himself. Dusty and Pappy spent the next the next couple years working on keeping up with the business and helping Dusty perfect the recipe.

With double the hands on making moonshine now the transportation side began to struggle heavily. Pappy decided to give Dusty full rein of the moonshine operation so that he could focus on a much less tedious side of the business that is transportation and delivery. Things went on like this for quite some time and smoothly. One of the first big hiccups was when the old trusty Rat-Loader coming up on a healthy three hundred thousand miles decided it was going to lock up on Pappy. Up until this point the small White Family business has very few issues with vehicles except for the normal maintenance required to keep them on the road. Luckily enough, Pappy had kept in decent contact with a nephew of his that lives down in Los Santos and works as a mechanic in a local garage. Pappy was able to get the locked up vehicle towed down to the city and dropped off by a local friend of his who owns a towing business in the county. Pappy rode down to the city with the tow truck and was greeted by a young and eager Randy Dwight. Randy was able to work on the vehicle after-hours to keep the total bill down for Pappy due to their history and heritage. Randy was able to get Pappy’s truck back on the road for minimal price and minimal down time as he worked until past midnight on it after closing time of the shop. Throughout the many hours of working on the vehicle, Pappy and Randy were able to almost fully catch up with each other, share stories, and form a new rebuilt bond. Pappy was back up, running, and heading home around two in the morning. Around two-thirty in the morning on his commute back up the highway, Pappy found himself with the red and blues of Los Santos Police Department behind him. This made Pappy rather uneasy due to the fact that his truck broke down in the middle of a transportation job which happened to include three crates of the locally famous and special moonshine. The police officers approached both sides of the truck at each door, explaining the reason for the traffic stop. The reason for the stop was that the truck didn’t have any tail lights. Which was true and the main reason that they made sure to only do deliveries while the sun was out. After getting Pappy’s information and running it through the system, he is asked to step out of the vehicle and then asked about the cases in the floorboard of his truck. To make a long story short, Pappy White ended up in a jail cell and truck impounded. With it being so early in the morning Pappy had to wait until the later morning hours before he was able to get his first phone call to attempt to get ahold of Dusty, or maybe even Randy. With Dusty being up in the hills working on the moonshine operation he didn’t want to waste his call that could potentially not go through due to poor cell phone reception. Early the next morning he gets his opportunity to make his call and it was to Randy Dwight. Dwight was there as soon as he could. He covered the bail bond fees, and the impound fees. Due to this being one of Pappy’s first criminal charges he was let off rather easy with the stipulation that he can not be caught transporting or producing moonshine or he will get the full effect of the charges plus some more. This hit Pappy hard because the moonshine was the center of his world and business. Pappy used this opportunity to get Cleetus back from school, and sit down with him and Dusty and speak about their options.

The next weekend Cleetus made his way back to Sandy Shores and arrives for the scheduled family business meeting. In this meeting they go over their options about the moonshine operations, and the transportation side of it all. With Cleetus over half way finished with his degree he has been able to pick up many new skill sets for a business that they couldn’t dream of having previously, even though he had plenty to learn. What Cleetus never spoke of is how he always dreamed of moving towards a legitimate business model away from moonshine and other iffy legalities. He mentioned how the transportation side of the business was a perfect business model to build off of to get a step away from the illegal activities they were currently wrapped up into. They all three agreed and began making the plans on how they would fully move towards that dream. This however still required them to finish the order backlog built up for the locally famous Moonshine. The plan would be that Pappy would sit back and chill in the shadows and crank out the remaining moonshine orders. The goal was to cut all expenses and finish up all the backlogged orders so they could purchase two used vans to expand their transportation business. With the added stress to the business, Cleetus made the decision to cut out the rest of the semester of class and stay back in town to help run the business with his new found skills and abilities. This allowed him to keep an eye out and make sure the transition to a legal legitimate business went smoothly. Cleetus began his time back helping with the business by researching the local state laws for business and requirements to obtain legitimacy in the eyes of the law. With the fleet of vehicles growing and the recent relationship building between Pappy and Randy, Cleetus invited Randy to up to Sandy Shores for a potential job opportunity. They met up at the local diner in Sandy Shores and caught up about the years since they’ve seen each other. Cleetus ended up offering Randy the flashy titled position of Head Mechanic for the business so he could spend more time with the family up in Sandy Shores, and so they would have a full time mechanic to maintain the fleet of vehicles which got more abuse than normal on the local county roads and heavy loads. With Dusty handling the final illegal orders of moonshine, Cleetus began vehicle shopping to expand their fleet as he had a potential deal coming up with their first large local company. Up until this point the fleet of vehicles contained two of the original rat-loaders, and two used Declasse Burritos that they had painted Pappy’s favorite shade of blue that also happened to be the main business logo color.

Cleetus arranged a meeting with the seller of their potential first big fleet expansion of two more burritos. With Randy having a standing job offer with the company, he was urged to join Cleetus for the meeting and thankfully accepted. Upon first inspection the vans looked like a great deal for the company apart from common wear and tear that happens on the San Andreas roads. After having Randy go over everything and approve the vans, Cleetus gave the ‘OK’ and went through with the purchase. This being the first big expansion for the company in terms of assets and access to a wider range of jobs and contracts with the larger capacity. After bringing the vehicles back to their property they began to realize that they need to get a professional location to begin storing they vehicles and doing business out of. Currently they are storing all of their business vehicles in their front yard not far from Sandy Shores. Though, Cleetus has a property in mind that he sees almost daily on his commute into town but that will be for a time in the future.

The White Brothers Trading Company now has a nice little fleet of company vehicles that don’t look like they are straight out of the 1960’s and now Cleetus can proceed forward with the company's first large contract for a large amount of work. Cleetus scheduled a meeting with a local mining company who specializes in Aluminum and Iron mining in Blaine County. The contract would consist of just use of the company’s vehicles and drivers for them to transport the companies raw material to their respective refineries and then the refined material back to their headquarters. It would be insane for Cleetus to not accept this contract as their first initial ‘big money’ deal, and with that being said the work is to begin two weeks after the contract is signed and approved. This grace period allowed the company to use their first large chunk of money from the contract to get everything into tip top shape and even begin the process of looking for a place to run their business out of ‘officially’.

On top of the large contract the company just acquired, and all of the smaller work that the company secured they are now in a place to begin searching for employees to increase their workforce, as well as increase their fleet of vehicles. Now they can also begin working on the paperwork to secure the property they have in mind to run the business out of, that is just outside of Sandy Shores.

As of recent, the Cleetus White got word from the state that their business propositions were approved and they would be able to move forward with their family business plans. One of the first big steps is 'officially' hire Delroy to the company as the first official employee. With Cleetus only having half of a business degree, a lot of this is way over his head and he is navigating muddy waters and getting by just by being 'that' guy who calls whomever will answer and blows them up with questions. Though progress is slow, it is steadily moving forward and the White Brothers have an appointment this coming weekend with a realtor to attempt to finish up the process of purchasing their future business property in Sandy Shores!

With all the recent commotion of the company becoming an 'Official' legal entity and no more under the table deals, the White Brothers have found themselves more busy than ever with an ever increasing workload. The current state of the business is in a good place, better than what you'd expect a group of rednecks with half a business degree to be able to achieve. With the recent growth, the company was able to put in their first order for a decent expansion to their fleet of vehicles mostly being their first two full sized semi trucks with a refrigerated box trailer, and a normal box trailer. Though it seems fitting that the original company vehicle, the old Rat-Loader get it's last time to shine before being retired by delivering a local business in Sandy Shores that goes by "SS Customs". The White Brothers love nothing more than doing business with the locals of Sandy Shores.

Things for the company are coming together quickly, we've figured out the legalities of legally employing people and everything that comes with it. Even figured out the hard way about larger vehicle fleet maintenance. But a hard lesson learned is still a lesson. Though on a positive note, We're happy to have acquired one of our first longer term contracts with a local business down in the city called Bishops Chicken, Super happy to be expanding our clientele down into Los Santos, and to continue our expansion as a company, and most important as a family.
