Avni's parents immigrated to the United States in 1990. His parents were convicted of conspiring to distribute more than 50 kilograms of marijuana and 5 kilograms of cocaine. However, Avni's parents never involved Avni and Rinor in their drug runs or other criminal activities. At the age of 16, Avni dropped out of school. A day rolls around where Avni's brother, Rinor, twists his mind making him think that hanging with the fellow group of Albanians is a good idea as they all share the same interests.
